  • Calibration and verification of a Boss TU-12H chromatic tuner. The needle was slightly off. Simple internal adjustment and using a stable reference signal allows re-centering the needle.

Great video! My tuner has a diferent trim pot. It's kind of square with a philips head on top. I was wondering if It's thare any philips wrench small enough to fit between the bottom of the VU metter and the top of the pot. It's So hard to reach. Thank you in advance.

My used TU-12 has the same problem. Lights indicate ‘in tune’ but needle is flat. I don’t have a waveform generator.
    Pluck-adjust until it matches?
I have a Yamaha clip-on sensor and a tuning fork?

@@Zerpersande search youtube for a 440 Hz tone video and adjust using that. More accurate than plucking a string.

Nice. That signal generator you have there I’m not familiar with those can you dial in any frequency you want with that say to go lower? I need something to generate extremely low frequencies to conduct some experiments with something entirely different. Thanks

It can go down to 0.100 mHz This is 0.0001 Hz.

Is this a good tuner to tune to standard tuning and drop d tuning?

Yes. It is chromatic so it automatically picks up any note. It's a good, reliable, simple tuner.

At least on the TU-15 you can get at the trim screw through the back of the case. Poor design there, can't really get at it all all. Still great tuners though.

    Can't tune half step down?
    Only up?

It auto detects notes so it can do half step up or down.
