I had the exact same experience when I joined Patch. I met folks coming from parts of Kenya I only saw on the news during drought or cattle rustling news 😳. Then, I stood at the physics lab window overlooking Kyuna & I saw another world I’d never really seen before because us Eastlands kids didn’t quite get exposed. To this day I still get lost in Westlands because 😅.

Point of correction, Cheserek must have come from West Pokot. That's where todate, they still live as pastoralists and cattle rustling is the order of the day there. The Sabaots are from Mount Elgon in Bungoma county. They are farmers.
