I started practicing Islam almost a decade ago, and it was the intellectual aspects that brought me to it. The cosmological argument, the sociological coherency, the miraculous nature of the Qur'an, the character of the prophet etc. So I have been certain about Islam and have been praying for all these years. However, it was only recently where Allah blessed me with the sweetness of Iman, where I actually fell in love with Allah over everything else, where I can directly experience the relationship with Allah. And because I have experienced it, I am as certain about Islam, as I am about my own existence. Alhamdulillah. I pray that everyone experiences sweetness of Iman and closeness to Allah.
I was born a Muslim.. but to this day I still continue to learn about many things about Islam, especially to perfect my ethics and procedures to shalah and making duas, including studying hadiths.
+if you don't know the historical context of the Revelation you may not not be able to understand what it means exactly for example. the verse may contain information about the monafikun (Hypocrites) because you don't know what happened before that, what the historical context for the revelation of that verse is, it might be understood as a verse about Muslims and interpreted differently and inaccurately. let's take an example: one of the verses States the “Then intercession of the intercessors will not benefit them” now, when someone doesn't know who it's about, they will arrive at the following conclusion. so, the intercession of the intercessors will not benefit them. they will say, “there is no intercession” and deny the concept of intercession. but when we look at whom these verses are about, we see that these are about disbelievers, in other words, it tells you that the intercession won't help the disbelievers. can you see the difference between the translation and theft now? here, the translation will lead someone to a position of denial of intercession. on the other hand, the tafsir will lead to a clear and understandable position. another example when you look at the “kill them wherever you find them” verse, it can be misunderstood very much to the point of “kill whoever you see” but when we look at the tafsir the verse, again, we see that this is a verse related to war. when you understand that this verse descended when they were about to fight the enemy in a war, you' ll say, “okay”. at this point in the war, you're already at war. you won't say, “hello, welcome, “and wait you will fight, and there you will see that this verse encourages you from a military point of view. so, we can see again how there are two different inferences. in fact, there was a case related to this. you will be really surprised. a companion of the Prophet read a verse related to imsak, the time the fast begins. he (RA) said, “I looked at the verse”, and it read: “wait until the black thread is separated from the white thread.” There's a verse like this he (RA) said’ “I looked at the thread”, and “it was not separated yet”. so, at the time of imsak, he (RA) did not start fasting because of his wrong inference. we start fasting at that moment, but he kept eating, saying, “there is still time.” what did he (RA) do? without realizing, he (RA) broke his fast. when we take a look at the tafsir about the separation of the black and white thread; the prophet (pbuh) explain this clearly. maybe you are wasting all your fasts, and believe me, we can give you countless more examples. Maybe the path that led many atheists to become Atheists, were due to read the translation and following the mentality of “only translation, only what I understand”. unfortunately, without properly understanding Islam, people can drag themselves down this path towards atheism.
Man, it's very rewarding. The Semitic Grammar is SUPERIOR to anything else. Quranic Arabic only has less than 500 root words. Its a Miracle The Thais has 200,000, crazy
Don't be too complicated when you are a revert. When you start becoming a muslim, you are basically doing baby steps to understand the whole thing. Even born muslims still make mistakes and learning. A muslim can survive from lonelines when she/he keep getting close to Allah, no matter up and down in life. I once questined my religionm but when reading other religious books, I found the concept of God that I accept is only in Islam.

I see it as a responsibility upon my shoulders to do the best that I can in bringing people from my community to Islam. Allah has guided me, even though I did not deserve to be guided, purely through his mercy. Islam is the truth. It's simple. And if we convey the truth to people in the best of manners, they will accept it InShaAllah. I hope both of you undertake personal projects for inviting people to Islam in your own native languages, in Slovak and Polish, so that we may bring our communities towards the truth InShaAllah
