To Denmark... In A Roof Tent! | Next Stop Everywhere

- Good news... We're back on the road! After taking a well-earned break from our campsite warden jobs for a couple of months, we decided to head back to the places we love (Continental Europe) and have another adventure... although this time, with a difference!
As you might have noticed, our motorhome is gone (we're caravanners now... sorry!) but the size and scale of our lovely Swift caravan isn't really ideal for touring so, we had another idea... how's about a roof tent?!
We'd never done this before, so we chose the best, a Thule Tepui tent, plonked it on top of our fab
and powerful Land Rover Discovery 4 and headed for Harwich... Europe here we come!
In this vid you can enjoy our epic drive from the Hook of Holland, via the stunning (and mysterious) River Elbe (yep, we're not sure how say it either... is it "Ell-b" or is it "Ell-b-a"?!) in Germany, to a familiar place in Southern Denmark... Billund!
Oh and of course, we'll also introduce you to our Land Rover and tent along the way too...

When you said "two years ago" since you were at your friends in Denmark it really made us realize how fast time has gone. Covid really changed so much. Glad you were able to go back and spend time with your friends and looking forward to seeing where you go. -Chris & Suzannah
It wasn't the most haven-like location for our first night... but it does get better! Ha! Setting up is quite quick, the tent can be up in less than 5 mins, and all our bedding and stuff put in it after about another 15mins, so probably 20min total set up. It's really simple to be honest! And yes, time flies doesn't it... we couldn't believe it had been almost two years since we were living there - the minute we got back we just fell right back into that family life, we loved it! Thanks as always for your support guys, you know we love what you do too! x

Good to see you out on the road, I just had to look up the pronunciation, according the google it is Elb, the e at the end is silent 😀 We really are so bad at all names everywhere we go! Looking forward to the tour of the tent and set up. Mountain did you say, looking forward to that, go on Sam, you can do it😀🏔
Ha ha! I knew it had to be one or the other... the beautiful and murky river Elb! (Bet it's a bit prettier in the summer...!) - hope you guys are well and congrats to Andy on his most recent hiking adventure! x
Why did you not want to tow the caravan over there? It’s no bother.
We ended up doing 3000 miles on our trip, which covered large parts of Denmark and Germany in just 4 weeks, and didn't involve staying on many campsites (many of which were closed at that time of the year) - it wasn't really that we didn't want to, it was more a logistical choice. Had we travelled in the summer, we definitely would have taken it. Cheers!
