- In this episode, we are going to discuss a fascinating topic. The Israeli IWI Tavor is the standard issue Assault rifle of the Indian Special forces since 2002. Since then small arms technology has evolved a lot. Few domestic arms manufacturers are producing world-class small arms in India. So we will try to figure out if Tavor is still good enough for our special forces.

Tavor also comes in a variant that shoots 7.62x51 bullets. Though the most common Tavor shoots 5.56
No chance for tavor 7.62 because india already has dragnov and Sig sauer 716 so no chance for tavor 7.62×51

He personally prefers Tavor over all other ARs Because of it's reliability and performance
But he stated that tavor is use in sff, capf, para sf , and marcos😅
I respect indian army but how your gonna fight with enemy soldiers when you're 70% soldiers don't have a bullet proof jacket and they still use 90s helmet. BSF most less equipped Indian Armed forces.🤣🤣🤣💨💨

I think our govt should focus to change assault rifles of our regular infantry Soldier for now our soldiers use INSAS which not up to the mark as we see today's battle scenario. Ak203 is a good alternative and the replacement process should be done as soon as possible.

Our Soldiers should get best weapons to defend our country from invaders from other countries. Because soldiers must be ready to fight at any time weather it is day or night. Great video.👍👌
Because India pay the amount to purchase defense products....but some countries ( neighbors) get guns and ammunition for free from the West as security reason from terrorist.
Since it getting MADE IN INDIA now, so definitely no need to change. OLD IS GOLD. But for para-military other MADE IN INDIA options should be made available too like SSSD, Excalibur

Sig MCX, Sig Spear LT, ACR, XCR, FB MSBS Grot, etc. are the future rifles because of their modularity. Most of these are short stroke piston operation rifles. And few have the feature of firing different caliber bullets just by changing the barrel and bolt.
What About Upgraded Tavor

@@human9512 I haven't seen the upgraded Tavor. But I don't think tavor is that modular on the fly. But the above mentioned rifles can be used as per the mission requirements. Like if there is a black ops mission then just by quick changing the barrel and bolt these rifles can file the 300 Blackout subsonic caliber bullets. For infantry, they can use 6.8mm or 7.62mm NATO rounds. For regular armymen they can use 7.62x39mm(Russian rounds) or 5.56mm NATO. And special forces can use any combination as they want per mission.
the things/guns u reffered are mate the designs that were scrapped or in development stage or was just too expensive if u want to arm a nation u want the cheapest weapon with higher intent to it's reliability
@@drago6579 they were expensive. But I am not suggesting Indian army to buy those but ARDE or DRDO can take an inspiration from the modular designs from those rifles and make a family of rifle for the future armymen
you forget about ambidextrous feature of tavor which is that the ejection port for the casing of bullet can either be ejected from left or right side so it is a good rifle for left and right handed shooters
Can you dedicate a channel full on types of Guns its working mechanisms , its making , who uses it and what conditons it has performed in. It would be greatly knowledgable series.

Always admiring this channel..another nice video..Basically what I've noticed all reputed AR comes with 3 variations Standard..CQB and DMR (Marksman Rifle) version..like Tavor Varients here that nicely explained..surely modern warfare is mostly CQB situations in this purpose SIG MCX Raptor..HK 416-A5..AR15 CQB Model or LMT CQB Model are fantastic along with Tavor TAR 21 model this model very much similar with new Desert Tech MDRX Micron CQB Model..surely 7.62mm NATO FMJ round give more punch. guys if you like you can follow Garand Thumb..Tactical Rifleman..Ronan Tactics..UF Pro Channels also for know more about weapons and tactics..training elements..
Garand thumb is the best..... totally agree to all the points u mentioned✋....but bull pump action rifles like tavor,AUG etc are more suitable more suitable for Count.T.O similar to those our SFs are required to

The problem is not the rifle but the caliber, regular infantry is using 762 while sf are using 556. Bullet caliber needs to be uniform so that it doesn't become a problem during logistics.

I prefer ak74, m4, scar l or g36 over AK 47 and tar 21. Tar 21(tavor) is bullpup.

Tabhor x95 is essential for indian army
the IWI TAVOR TAR-21 X95 can be modified to fire 7.62 X 51 MM armour piercing rounds as well . . . similar to the Israeli one is the CZ Scorpion EVO that can be modified to shoot 5.56 rounds . . .

I prefer Ar15 rifles over a bullpup anyday..
Because of comfortable ergonomics and handling performance
I like it too. But the problem is they tend to jam under rough conditions like snow or mud.
For CQB mission Tavor is ideal👌
That why its used in Spec Ops

Sources from interviews and videos during the US army airborne forces and indian para sf shows or proved that indian made tavor is not as reliable and usually gets jammed on firing continuosly. Which shows its not so efficient for special forces

@@ankandey3614 vsk94 , Russians don't sell the as val or vss vintorez. They are exclusively used by the spetznaz. Vsk 94 was developed as a cheaper alternative to Vss vintorez, for mass production and export. It is used by regular Russian military and police and fires the same subsonic round used in AS val and vintorez.

Ump 205 is the most reliable rifle for close range along with m416 for long range. Minimum recoil nd unlimited attachments.

Tavor is not good for reloading the magazine for its bulpup design..there r more handy weapons with better fire accuracy than tavor like hk416
