Alak akala is already very indicative of what they mean, I think. We just think our problems disappear when we drink but they don’t. I actually love this song. It’s so boozy feeling-wise and yet it reminds me not to be fooled 😊 Another PABLO wonder ❤

Thanks The fil-am Cam. I ❤the theme to this. Beautifully written by the RadKidz. Hopefully you get to React to Felip's collab with Playertwo 'Flyyy' and 'Pagdali'. Warning, there's a few slang words in 'Flyyy'. 🙂

AKALA is unreleased song of Pablo since 2020 i guess. Naperform na rin ni Pablo at Ken to nung virtual/concert nila. Then dinogshow ni Stell by saying Ganda ni Chona.
So it just goes to show that this is really an old unreleased song before. I first heard Stell's own short rendition of the chorus with his own lyrics before I heard the actual song. So I had the same reaction of recalling the chant 'ganda ni Chona' and Pablo's bored look. I liked the singing parts of Pablo in this song. Can't do the rap parts. Beyond my capabilities. 😅
I read in a news article that Josue originally wrote the lyrics, so it reflects his perspective on drinking. Pablo came in and he added his perspective. So it’s very much a collab that reflects their opposite views. Don’t quote me on this kasi i haven’t verified. Though INQ or GMA (sorry I can’t remember) yung article.
"Ganda si Chona" is actually from "Akala". Stell was just messing with Pablo lol, because in that video, they were practicing for "Akala" for their concert. Ken and Pablo performed it in their global concert. There's a video of their performance somewhere in TH-cam. ---Walwal is like getting drunk like there's no tomorrow. --- The live performances of this song, Pablo and Josue/Ken added to the last part. They never put out the lyrics for it so I can't say it all. But in that, they said something like, mapapahamak ka sa "maling akala". I really wished they put that last bit in the visualizer because that will make this song 💯 not about just drinking. I have heard so many reactors, mostly foreign ones, who misinterpreted this song as an ode to alcohol. It irks me that the English captions didn't give it justice. I know Pinuno will never make a song to encourage drinking. So much loss in translation 😢 Had they added the last part, misinterpretations might be lessened. You'll hear the last bit in their concert and in their Wish Bus performance of this song. --- Look at the bottles closely... the label says "100% Juice". The juice in this song means more than the sugary drink. It is a wordplay of Diyos. Pablo is basically crying out to God that He is the only answer.
Wow, thank you for those details! That makes more sense for them to write a song about how God is the only help/answer and not drinking. I didn't catch the 100% juice on the video because it's so dark.😅 We'll check out the performance with the "maling akala" you mentioned. Thank you!💙🙏🏽
@@tashacarmelo2607 Thank you!☺️ I've been looking for "Pablo Ken Akala" on TH-cam and so far I can't find it yet.😅 I'll put the link here once I find it for others who might want to watch it too.☺️
I've watched all the RVs of non-Filipino reactors and they got the message by the end of the video. They understood that the song is a conversation between two people with different POVs re drinking to forget a problem. I was surprised at the one who said it was an ode to alcohol when the CC of the refrain, when read as a whole stanza, clearly states the sentiment that 'I thought that drinking alcohol would make my problem go away '. I dunno but I think that part went over his head as he focused on the word 'alcohol' and the shots of alcohol on the visualizer.
@TDLTDL100 true. There is this one particular reactor that said it's an ode to alcohol and that the way the two were singing "alak, akala...." is like they were singing to the alcohol like a love song. I was like whattttt??? And to think that reactor is a fan of the group and even saw the boys twice in their US concerts. Like how does he think Pablo would ever make a song that encourages alcoholism.. like nah bruh.
Walwal is a slang word for get wasted, and shaaat is the sound when someone is so wasted ,so instead of saying shot it will be shaaat 😂😂😂😂😂😂, it's actually base of my experience while my friend get wasted😂😂😂 . I don't drink alcohol
Shat could be a double meaning too. Shat is taking a shot but shat is also slang for "sh*t" which is a curse word so it could be a curse too at what leads folks to drinking. Just my opinion.
Yep, same thought here - double meaning. Shat is the past tense for sh*t. Maybe also to make it more relatable to Filipinos, they spelled 'shot" in the way that a lot of Filipinos pronounce it - shat. I remember that in the Bazinga portion of their AAA perf, the displayed word was 'Sike!' instead of the actual spelling (also in the CC of the MV) - 'psyche!'.
@TheFil-AmCam If you watched the AAA official upload, you won't see it because the cam focused only on the performers., cutting off the video / graphics above them. But if you watched the Weverse one (the livestream version), the camera showed a faraway shot of the whole stage first (showing the video display above the performers) before zooming in on the boys. :)
