Good grief!! Such great finds!! 😲 My jaw dropped seeing that Lydon-Sun 12”- stunning cover art. I wish that solo album of his would get a vinyl issue (maybe RSD or something)- it’s pretty decent! Cheers-R 😎👍
Hi.rajee , sounds excellent as I mentioned I’d never seen it before it was also nice seeing the artwork up close on a 12inch Thanks for watching and commenting 👍
Fischer-Z/John Watts. I do like them. Good stuff. That Sheryl Crow album for a tenner. Well done Rob. However, I will draw the line at you singing The Smiths in the car! Oh, and I should mention that I have that Devon single. Not a picture sleeve though. Saw them twice in the 70s. Once at Newcastle City Hall, and the other at Knebworth in September '78, when they got pelted with beer cans. 😂
@@davidatkinson-Music-and-More hi Dave seeing devo in the late 70s what a joy ! come on we all like a sing song in the car 😁. Watched your recent health video , it’s so important to take responsibility for your health .. thanks for watching👍
Blimey, that SFA record is a find. I've never seen that before. This is the first I've heard of Fischer-Z. Passed me by somehow, but your description, Rob, intrigued me, particularly the similarity with Bebop Deluxe. I'll be checking them out. Fab haul, Rob. Thanks for sharing. Cheers
@@andysalbums hi Andy as I mentioned I’d never seen hey Venus on vinyl before… I acted very cool gave him the money and ran ! 😀. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍
Sheryl Crow, I did by that album also but all I really need from her is Greatest Hits. There are a lot of groups that all I need is greatest hits. Lot of albums Rob. Congrats on the Furry Animals, always fun to get an OG.
Hello matey, great interesting finds as per usual 👍👍👍 £15-20 is about right for that Trojan LP if its in good condition. The trojan Tighten Up series is a popular one to collect. Im not a massive Oasis fan but cigarette's & alcahol is a cracking tune. I think Harris Pilton collects the Smiths 12" singles as well 🤔 Good luck with getting all of them.Doesn't Charles Hawtry appear on one of them ???
@@britpopbuzz8564 hi, I didn’t mention it but the shop I went into in Huddersfield vinyl tap.has a excellent cd section down stairs they must have had over 600 that were 50p each I picked up a pretty obscure reverend and the makers album .. and upstairs also has a great selection at good prices thanks for watching
Hi, I remember buying whip it in 1980 and thinking it would be a big hit but it never happened , it picked up a lot of airplay, if it would have been featured on top of the pops I’m sure it would have been too 10. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍
I still haven't heard any albums by the Super Furry Animals. Very cool cover on that LP. I am on a mission to complete my Smiths 12", but the prices are insane lately.
Hi Brian I’m sure you’d like the super furry animals I’d say hey Venus is probably the most commercial as well as their debut fuzzy logic .. smiths 12inches are worth collecting but as you say the come at a cost. ! Thanks for watching have a great weekend Brian 👍
Nice stuff there, Rob. 'Walking Wounded' is one of my favorite EBTG releases. Nice 12" there. Great 7" finds there also. Even here in the US, Devo singles can get pretty pricey. Julian Cope - cool picture sleeve. Can never have enough Police - especially that one! 😎
Great finds Rob 😀🍿🎸🎶 VT is an awesome Record Shop; been there many a time; great staff in there 😀 ‘Regatta De Blanc’ is a solid album mate; nice Smiths 12 inch single aswell 👍👍
Hi Sam , I’m hoping that I’ll beable to complete my smiths 12inch collection by the end of 2025 .! I’ve set myself a challenge 😀. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍
Hey Rob, love the cover of that SFA album. Never heard that one, but like their earlier albums that I’ve heard. Can’t go wrong with a Trojan comp. Love that Julian Cope song… beauty! Cheers, Jack
Hi jack , that SFA record is my find of the year .. it’s funny I was in shock when I saw it .. I just need to find human conditions by Richard Ashcroft then I really will have had a great 2024 …. Thanks for watching and commenting jack 👍
I’ve not had a run over to Vinyl Tap for a number of years, so thanks for reminding me. Yes that downstairs area is really good. Didn’t know about the fair in Urmston but hoping to get to Stockport. You picked up some great records there Rob!
Hi Andy vinyl tap is well worth a visit .. from listening to conversations in the shop new used records are arriving on a daily basis. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍
I'm so Super Furry envious! Pretty good price that, discogs starts at around that price. Love Kraft is double that and more. Hope you are correct about them being re-issued soon. Its the two I'm missing on vinyl. Love that Sheryl one as well. Be lovely to hear it again on vinyl. I saw the SFA 7" the other day but they wanted 300 kr for it (22 £) and I was allready spending that on Tracy Chapman. Great pick up there Rob. Enjoy. Cheers from Morten
Hi Morton he had love kraft for .£75. I should have grabbed it ! Hey Venus was my gateway so that was always coming home with me 🎉. Thanks for watching 👍
@ I can understand that. Fuzzy logic, their debut, was my introduction from a fellow student who is from Wales in 1996. Who btw released his first novel this year. Love Kraft is the album I have listened to the least. It's not bad by any use of the word, it just fell a bit by the wayside somehow I suppose?
Went to Urmston myself on Sunday. Bright and early in my case. Spent more than intended but pleased with my pickups. Vinyl Tap sounds like it's well worth a visit
Hi , vinyl tap is decent downstairs they have a load of new sealed albums starting at a £5 probably over 1k singles for 50p and hundreds of cds for. 50p
In early November 1995 I brought that oasis wonderwall on cassette single when it came out, I done my bit to try to get it to number 1, was outdone by a Robson and Jerome cover, great finds Rob was always 👍
