The World’s Best is absolute trash for the way they treated Dimash. I hope he doesn’t think they represent all of Americans 😡. They are lucky he graced their show with his presence at all. He is way to good for them! I respect Dimash so much for bowing out to let the children move forward. He is an amazing human being and I wish him all the success and happiness in the world ❤
The participants did not see each other in this program. Dimash comes from Kazakhstan. If I remember correctly, Dimash was over 24 years old here..He knew from the producers that there would be no children in the program. In his country, children are highly respected and he helps children in everything. When he was at the final stage, he saw his compatriot, a girl, backstage. In his country, Dimash and his family created a competition to support musically gifted children. He knew this girl because she participated in His competition. He introduced her to us, he was proud of her, so competing with a child was out of his mind. He also found out that he was competing with another boy. For a Kazakh, competing with children is unacceptable. So he skipped the final. He could have won a huge amount of money. But the Americans did not understand his decision. They couldn't understand that beliefs and traditions could be more important than money. In addition, Dimash's presence in the program increased viewership. That's why they treated Dimash very badly. That's why Dears (Dimash's fans) disregard the performances in this program, especially since no song was played in its entirety, and the way they spoke to him when he announced his decision was truly shameful.

I watched this competition and Dimash's performances! All his songs were cut by television crews. And I was ashamed of what the judges said to him!
Dimash is undoubtedly the greatest singer/performer on the planet. However please don't react to anything from this show "World's Best" as all performances have been edited and shortened. Dimash gave up the one million dollar first prize because they lied to him and said he would not be competing against children. This is strictly against his belief that children are special and deserve to only compete against each other.
Actually, nowadays the Dimash's voice goes from baritono to soprano.
I can't, in good conscience, give a 'like' to anything off of World's Best because of what they did but I look forward to watching your other reactions to Dimash. You should watch a full performance of this song that isn't edited down like Slavic Bazaar or Singer.

His voice is exceptional and his qualities as an entertainer in his concerts fabulous. Anyone with an ear for the extraordinary will be thrilled.

Not at all your fault that you happened onto the performance on this show whose producers disrespected and lied to him. It has happened to many. Nevertheless, the performance itself was well worth seeing, edited as it was. Hopefully you will react to other full performances in different settings. Dimash is a 29-years old singer from Kazakhstan and believe me, you’ve seen nothing at all. In my opinion you have discovered the best singer in the world. He has perfect pitch and currently has a vocal range of 6 octaves. Not in one song (mostly anyway😅). However, if you include the notes he has sung live in his concerts so far, you get almost 8 octaves (7.7 from vocal fry C1 (B0) to the whistle register D8; this note is no longer on the piano). At least that's what he's shown us so far. And this in all registers (chest, mixed and head voice up to the whistle register). The transitions from one register to the other are so fluid that they are sometimes not recognized even by vocal coaches or professional singers.
His voice is the result not only of his God-given talent, but also of his almost 25 years of hard daily training. From the age of 5 he attended music school in his hometown of Aktobe. He plays several instruments like piano, dombra (a kazach instrument), drums, marimba and more. He has classical as well as contemporary vocal training and sings in different genres from opera to pop, jazz, Kazakh folk, ballads and he even raps a bit. And often he skillfully mixes several genres in one song. Mainly classic and pop, so he created a new crossover genre. And meanwhile in more than 10 languages. And at his concert in Almaty, Kazakhstan on September 23, 2022 he sang in 7 languages in one concert! And at his concert in Yerevan on April 29, 2023, he sang an Armenian folk song for the first time (it has to be about 16 or 17 languages so far).
He sings no mainstream and is a completely independent artist. He is managed by his father Kanat, who founded his own company "DimashAli Creative Center". The logo can be seen at the beginning of many of Dimash's videos. Maybe that’s the reason you never heard of him yet. He doesn’t sell his soul to a music label. He doesn’t want to be dictated by money when he has to sing what, when, where and how.
Many of my favorite songs are in his native tongue. He is a nice, intelligent, respectful and humble person. He respects people regardless of their original, religion or profession. He truly loves his homeland Kazakhstan and his people with all his heart and always shows it with pride in many of his songs, concerts and interviews. During his concerts in Dubai, Düsseldorf and Prague in 2022, before he performed his song War And Peace, he told the audience he loves all people in every country. And there are no bad nations (only bad leaders). And I absolutely believe this.
His concert in September 23, 2022 was in Almaty, Kazakhstan. It was so amazing and it lasts almost 4 hours. Believe it or not but he really gets better and better. Every time you think you know him and his art, you realize you are so wrong.
He's very spiritual and thankful for the gift God has given him. But he also works very hard to constantly improve his vocal skills.
He said in an interview that he trains at least 3 hours every day, if necessary, it can be 10 hours to prepare for a concert. He loves swimming and also a lot under water. Maybe that's why he has this large lung capacity to hold the notes as long as he does. He's a singer you can't put in any box. He sings almost every genre there is. Every time you watch a video, expect the unexpected. Even the covers he sings he makes his own and brings elements into the song that you would never expect. Don't be surprised if you get suggestions for songs you may have already seen. Dimash has different versions of many of the same songs. They are all worth seeing. Not only is he perfect at singing and performing, he's also an incredibly good actor. Check out his music videos. They are amazing. You think I’m exaggerating? No, I don’t think so😄.
SOS is a song in the rock-opera „Starmania“ from 1978. The first who presented this song was the French singer and songwriter Daniel Balavione.
SOS was the first performance of the China competition (in 2017) and was his first appearance in this show. The Singer is a show in China where only established singers are invited to perform. All the singers invited to this show are already well-known artists in China who have already won awards. Dimash was invited as the first foreigner as a wild card and the youngest in the history of this show. They became aware of him because he had already won some important competitions in Kazakhstan and Belarus, among others. He was still completely unknown in China. Actually, it was intended that he would only have 1 or 2 appearances. But it came completely different. When he woke up the next morning after his first performance of SOS he was a megastar in China and even found bodyguards outside his hotel room. SOS’ first video had 600 million views when it aired. He was just 22 years old at the time.
Unfortunately, you unknowingly didn't make a good choice with this video. As a rule, most Dears (Dimash fans) boycott these performances by The Worlds Best. That's why I don't look at this reaction. I'm so sorry. It's not your fault and I'm sure you did well. But I subscribed nonetheless, hoping for more Dimash reaction videos😊🙏
Dimash was lied to and scammed before this show to sign for it. In his culture, children are encouraged and not competed. When Dimash asked if he would have to compete against kids on this show, he was assured that he didn't have to. Otherwise he would never have signed. When he happened to bump into the then 12-year-old Daneliya Tuleshova backstage at his last performance (the artists were strictly separate), he learned that he had to compete not only with her, but also with a 7-year-old boy. He then performed and immediately asked the jury for his resignation. The jury's reaction was beyond offensive and inappropriate.
I'm sending you two links so you can get an idea of how unworthy the jury behaved if you want. I also saw a video where the two presenters made it look like Dimash had resigned because he was afraid of losing to the kids. The first link shows the appearance and retirement in the finale and the second link is from two eyewitnesses who were present at that show and can testify that Dimash was screwed. I love Dimash for his integrity that his principles go over $1 million.
I still get angry when I write about it
Not only did they shorten and mutilate his songs until it hurts, no. He also performed a song in Kazakh, hence his traditional robe. They eliminated that entirely. We all know how proud he is of his Kazakh homeland and loves to show it to the world and it really hurts.

Here he sings in a competition for young musicians, called New Wave in Sochi, Russia. He was there in 2018 as a guest.
The gentleman at the end you see standing and clapping is the famous Russian/Ukrainian composer, producer and songwriter Igor Krutoy. He has come out of retirement to work with Dimash. True masterpieces were created. He writes songs that only Dimash could sing with his vocal range, such as Olimpico, Stranger or Ave Maria. You’ll often see him accompanying Dimash on the piano. The two have no contract. Their cooperation is based more on mutual trust. It’s more like a father/son relationship.
If possible, always watch the videos from start to finish. Very often there are interesting things to learn. Either there’s something to laugh about, or he’s talking to his audience. He always thanks his musicians. He is incredibly humble and never acts like a star. When he is praised, he constantly says that it is thanks to his teachers and his parents, who made it all possible for him. He’s just incredible.

“SOS d'un terrien en détresse” tells of an earthly being that is in distress and asking for help because he never felt well in his own skin, he better wants to be a bird to see the world in case it could be more beautiful when seen from above. Luc Plamondon wrote the lyrics of SOS about a very distraught young man who just lost his lover causing him extreme questioning of his own existence. Finally being by her lifeless body, he is able to let her go “in peace“ with the words ‘sleep, my child, sleep’. It is a part of an french Rock-Pop opera released in 1979: Starmania. One of the 5 most difficult songs in French language. It was recorded by Daniel Balavoine in 1979 or so and Grégory Lemarchal won of the French reality singing competition Star Academy 2004 with this song.

Dimash was a little off on this performance. I gather he was sick. You should catch his 2021 Digital Show version for a more typical delivery.
This ridiculous show also either made him sing a shortened version of the song or edited it and chopped out a whole section. Please avoid this show and pick any of the ethical venues.
Plus the producers of this horrid show butchard his performance by chopping it up and splicing it to fit the short time and the sound quality was crap. Plus they invited him to the show and lied to him so he would sign and accept to come to it. After a number of episodes the learned of the lies and quit the show. It is against his deep cultural belief to compete against childen as you steal their future if you do so. It brought shame to him and he was very angry with the show for putting him in that possition. He is very very careful about contracts now...... especially when dealing with American companies.
Refuse to watch from this trash program.
