I was enrolled at HU for the either school year. HU and Grambling football teams played a game at the meadowlands in NJ for either the 87-88 or 88-89 school year. I caught the Amtrak 4:23 from DC to NYC to lodge in Harlem with my LS (she graduated after we crossed) and we attended the game. I was so excited to go bec the whole time I was was enrolled at HU, I didn’t really have $ to go on trips and things for any breaks or anything (no $ for “extra$”), so I was glad to go to this big game and visit my LS. I recall before I had attended that game (HU vs Grambling) hearing other students on the HU campus talking about the Grambling Marching Band and how good they were. I think at the time, Grambling were considered to be the best of the marching bands…
@@nolabornandraised8181 you must have rode the short bus cause I’m a believer that people don’t speak on things they don’t GAF about. Did I hurt your feelings? Now go play with your mammy, I’m busy
They have bands that try to march like this now in Japan and South Korea. The announcer even mentioned that they were going to Japan. Must not be corny to everyone. I have no stakes in this one way or the other. My family has been in Chicago for over 100 years. We just barely care about college football, and we don't have college football/marching band culture here, like you do in the South. I recognize this talent, though. 🤷♀
Class of 1988 in the HOUSE!!!!❤❤❤❤
I am so glad they have proof of events like this... I love it!!!!
This is so beautiful and inspiring to see! The energy was much greater. The pride in what they did shows so much. It just never gets tired
Great show. It was a reason Grambling was invited to events etc because they actually entertained.

I’m convinced GSU band is the most country group of individuals I’ve ever seen. I don’t give a damn what year it was.
You’re speaking as if assuming people actually GAF what you’re “convinced” of 😂.
@@nolabornandraised8181 well you just made it obvious
@@779577 no actually I’m just pointing out to you that your opinion has no merit whatsoever lol. 😆
