Both of these dolls look gorgeous! Anna is like literally perfect! Elsa is so beautiful too. My only complain is that I wish they would have done more sworvirskis crystals on Elsa’s dress bodice. That would have been perfect. As for the eye lashes I absolutely love it. Thank you for sharing. ❤
It's beyond shady of AG to take the top two most popular Disney princesses among children, the demographic they almost always cater to, and put them behind a paywall that almost no kid's parents could ever climb. 😂 They are absolutely gorgeous, although I think it's a missed opportunity to put them in the line where we won't get additional outfits for them, especially because Anna and Elsa are among the few Disney princesses who have multiple memorable outfits they wear throughout the 2 movies.
Big gymnastics fan here as well. Got Peacock just for it. $305 is way too much to spend on a doll for a child. Only rich parents can afford them. Don't know how quickly these will sell out, but other Disney dolls haven't. If you wait, you can get them cheap. I'm not a Disney collector. I only got two dolls, the live action Ariel and Vanessa. Couldn't care less about the movie. I just got them because they were cheap and have pretty faces.

I think Elsa’s hair color should have been less yellow looking and more white like the shimmering silver doll. Also Shimmering silver, Rapunzel, and Elsa are too similar with the Marie Grace face mold and long flowing hair. Anna is more historical quality. The less expensive ones should be available for 135 each with 2 extra outfits for each of them most likely at 55 each price.

A Joss mold with flaming red hair and bangs, and gorgeous aqua eyes omg I could not resist her, I’m very excited. Great vid, love listening to you rant about dolls for so long. Def agree with you about the eyebrows WHAT is going on with Elsa’s?! Anna is so pretty! As far as the face molds go, an easy way to differentiate joss and josefina is that joss is a mix of the classic and josefina molds. Joss has the classic nose with a josefina shaped mouth 😊

I agree with you about the eyebrows, which bother me too but I couldn't quite put it into words "why" until your video. It makes the Disney dolls all look kind of fake and cartoony, which I guess makes sense since they are based on cartoons, not real girl characters. I could also skip the Swarovski crystals! Frozen is my all-time favorite Disney movie, why must they be so expensive 😭😭 literally got down on my hands and knees begging my mom to buy them for me 😭
They will be in the play line probably an under 24 months. AG/Disney/Mattel is not gonna leave all that money on the table. The line will come, and that will have the outfits not made as well and not made out of fabrics that will make us happy, but they will do it and because we are lemmings or sheep take your pic we will buy them, we will buy them for ourselves. If we are collectors we will buy them for our daughters and we will buy them for our granddaughters if we are grandmothers. I personally will not own a set, but as I’ve already stated, I did get a set for my grand girls. No my sadness goes in, knowing that I missed Belle when she came out. And I’m not really ready to pay $700 for her. Maybe I’ll get lucky and they’ll put her in the play line for Christmas, which would be a real kick in the teeth to collectors who bought them in the past and now see them into the play line, but remember Mattel is a publicly owned company and it answers to its stock holders. And their stockholder got a real surprise when the price rose on all of the wonderfulness of the Barbie movie. No, I’ve never seen it. Don’t want to if anybody calls me when I was a kid. I would punch him in the face because that wasn’t my name. But they watched the stock rise, and they made money. And when the clamoring for more dolls for all of the young girls that want him for the play line, you can be sure will make sure that Mattel will see they are put out.
I don’t like Elsa, but I’m not exactly sure how else they were supposed to translate her into American Girl form without having her bare some resemblance to those dolls.
@@TweedxIndeed They could have used a different face mold. All three are MG molds. And I think Elsa's hair could have been whiter, verging towards the winter shimmer doll. And they could have used the Caroline eyes for Elsa. Or the Saige eyes. Or a new blue.
I’ll try not to make my comment too long, but I have lots of thoughts lol. This year I vowed to not purchase anything else from AG because the amount I have is…a lot. When AG released the first 3 Disney play line dolls the only one who really appeal to me was Cinderella. My Claudie makes an amazing Tiana and I am not super happy with how Ariel turned out. However, I completely caved on all of the play line outfits. I was super surprised 2 days ago to get the release email for the Frozen dolls. I will say I really think they are gorgeous dolls, and I caved again and ordered them. Neither of my children (now grown) were into Frozen but here’s how I got hooked on their characters. If you haven’t watched Once Upon a Time, I highly recommend it. Not to spoil but that show’s portrayal (season 4) of both of these characters really connected with me. So that’s why I purchased them. Gorgeous dolls and my connection to their stories through Once Upon a Time. And I’m so in agreement on the new eyebrows and please, enough already with the painted on lower eyelashes. I also agree that they need to go in a completely different direction with the color of the collector edition doll boxes. Why not choose a color palette that matches the dolls? Anyway I’ve rambled long enough. Thank you again for another great video!
And the stockholders are singing to show you how old I am. My children were young when this song was popular in a cartoon, happy, happy joy, joy, happy happy joy happy happy joy joy, happy happy joy.
Well I am sitting on these two, I have enough boxes on display and I am waiting for some more releases, hopefully some princesses for the play line. I love those best, I can take them out of the box without guilt and be able to buy another one if I need to ( like Cinderella) to take out her hair if I want. So I am waiting, and like the Rapunzel doll, I can't see redressing these two dolls. I guess I love miniature fashion. So that takes me sewing, designing, and going with the inspired look for the other dolls that might work. Plus what about the holiday releases? How many dolls can one buy at $300.00+ a pop just to look at in a box not on an open display ? The Gap outfit came today and it is cute and brings memories for me shopping there with my children before school started. They need a boy Gap outfit too. Just fun. Thank you!
I think the graphic design issues MIGHT be related to the fact Mattel is using AI in designs now. The new Holiday Barbie background was made with AI and a video leaked talking about how they use it in-house for design ☠️
Yeah, there is SO MUCH more automation happening and people aren't laying eyes on every pixel anymore. I dont think there's any excuse for it. Sure, mistakes happen from time to time, but there are multiple issues on these product photos.
Elsa is such a major Disney character that I'm amazed they didn't differentiate her more from other dolls like her: Rapunzel, the Winter Shimmer doll, TM 115, and Elsa all have the same face mold and all look extremely similar! For Elsa they could have created a new face mold and used Caroline eyes, Saige eyes, or a new blue. I wouldn't have thought that people would be moved to buy Elsa if they have one or more of those other dolls I just mentioned, unless money is no object, which isn't most people. Actually, even if I had millions, I wouldn't buy all four because it would feel like a waste given they're so similar. I really don't understand AG sometimes. Why make four such similar dolls? Anyway, I have the Winter Shimmer doll and I think she makes a better Elsa.
I agree that Elsa is too similar to Shimmering Silver and Rapunzel so for that reason I would not get her. Something looks less pretty on this Elsa doll. Maybe it is the eyebrows and her mouth looks really small. I wish they would paint the lips more to the edges to feel more full. Anna is adorable but the prices are too high for me. I have the Shimmering Silver and I am in love with her. ❤
i looooooooove frozen, i hope you watch it one day! elsa's eyes are a bit too dark, almost greenish, but i assume they did that because maybe lighter would look weird. edit: i will say its hilarious to read 'celebrate elsa's strong sense of self [by buying this insanely expensive product]!'
@@idreamofjonny You must! My husband and I just rewatched it the other week, and it's still one of my top 3 Disney movies!! It's a rite of passage, especially now that you're going to own at least the Anna doll! You'll love it, I think! Olaf is the best, too - so funny! 🤣
I agree about liking Anna better than Elsa. She's breathtaking... I feel like they miss the mark with Elsa I think if her hair was closer to white it would have been better.
The way I RAN to purchase Anna!! She is my second favorite Disney princess after Rapunzel, so I'm living my best life! I read on Instagram that she has a Joss face mold with Josefina painted lips! I compared her pics to my dolls and found this to be true! I agree with you that Anna is SO much better than Elsa with her cheap-looking dress! At least Anna's eyebrows are better than Elsa's! Lol. The reason I got Claudie over Tiana was because of Tiana's awful eyebrows!
I get soooo tempted to get a Tiana to customize, but it's so hard to make eyebrows look right, and I just really dont like the eyebrows on the last Disney release. Maybe I could give her a wig with bangs though!
I find Anna really adorable ❤; Elsa a bit less, but anyway a very cute doll; but I believe that they are a bit too expensive: 300$ for a doll are really a lot. I already have the Disney's releases of these dolls: they are not charming as these, but are anyway nice dolls... for my next A.G., I'll choose another character.
don't anna and elsa got different eye colors like different shades of blue not green , it would being cute if they gave the elsa doll and new face mold with an closed mouth half smirk
My birthday fell on the same day. They released the dolls so I was able to justify getting both of the dolls . I just don't see getting one without the other. Doesn't make no sense to me. They belong together . I cannot wait to september to receive my dolls.
I know! I'm also working on my American Girl of Today collection, and while I like AGoT way more than this, I don't wanna spend $750 on each of these dolls on eBay after they sell out 😖
Lovely dolls but I'm not a Disney person and the price is too steep for me so I won't be purchasing. Def. agree that I want higher quality historical dolls but not sure if I'd pay $300 for them. I wish they'd do new, high quality outfits for the historical dolls too.
I also got the blue hair doll and I was so sad when I took down the braid😢 I still love the color the texture and the length was weird. I keep calling her my discount doll😂
For whatever reason, Disney princesses are a licensed to print money. clothes, school supplies, bath items, 7000 different kinds of play toys license license license. That seems to be the way that Disney is going to make up for the losses that it is suffering from not taking care of their theme parks or their hotels for their theme parks, their answer to their sagging revenue in there online streaming is to raise the prices which they are going to do. I just got a notice. I don’t belong to any of it. It doesn’t affect me. I’m 67 years old. I don’t really have the need for Disney but it’s 67 years old. I also have two granddaughters and they are in love with frozen. Just as their mother was a young young girl when the second era of great Disney animation kicked off with the little mermaid I can remember watching my daughter and her best friend with their backs arched on Ottomans singing the songs and they sounded like seals. I’m sorry, but they did, and when Melissa went to Florida for Christmas vacation, she came back with all sorts of Ariel toys and stuff like that but you could only get at Disneyland or Disney World. My kids didn’t have to wait an extremely long time before their mom would take them on the airplane by herself and fly to Florida, where daddy was at conference. So for four days, the kids and I had a great time enjoying the park and typhoon Lagoon and Allison managed to pitch through every gift shop finding more and more things that she felt that she needed, the only hiccup in the trip was the one and only day that their father spent with us. He doesn’t do theme parks well, but I wouldn’t figure that out for a couple years. I also say he didn’t do marriage well and I didn’t figure that out for 19 of them, but I am sure that these two young ladies are going to be on my two young ladies Christmas list of course they’re pre-order. And the granddaughter who looks like her mother will have Anna and the granddaughter that looks like me will have Elsa. They’re not getting a set of peace. I am not out of my mind. It’s a lot of money, but it’s August and the big gift is bought. Yes other things will come along because that’s what grandma’s do but the big gift is done, and my daughter doesn’t have to worry about it, my daughter by the way absolutely nothing of asking for everything under the sun when she was a child and had 16 American girl dolls because we Musta had every damn girl of today on top of the original six that came out when she was collecting. I hope my granddaughters are enjoying those. I remember the day that both Kristen and Mollycame home without their braids. I almost had a heart attack. I know that the day will come when the braids will come out of these two young ladies here, but it’s not gonna be my problem their gift they can do with them what they want.
I uploading my reaction to the frozen doll's and I'm very valuable in my video Because the movie means Alot to me.
Elsa is SO similar to TM 115 and Rapunzel!
@@thelifetimesofarobotdog1122 you know, I see your points. I don’t think I would like her still but that would definitely be an improvement.
So true. I have TM115 and don’t feel the urge to get Elsa they seem so similar. So I just got Anna.
Obsessed with the Mortal Kombat reference 🐉
That is sales for 4.340.000 $ for the two dolls if they sell out ! Nearly 5 million dollars...Just an observation....
And the stockholders are singing to show you how old I am. My children were young when this song was popular in a cartoon, happy, happy joy, joy, happy happy joy happy happy joy joy, happy happy joy.
I think the Barbie one was 2 million in sales if I remember my math correctly.
Just fun. Thank you!
I bought Anna and I’m definitely taking her out of the box to play with her.
I think the graphic design issues MIGHT be related to the fact Mattel is using AI in designs now. The new Holiday Barbie background was made with AI and a video leaked talking about how they use it in-house for design ☠️
Where’s the video
I like the idea of using Caroline eyes for Elsa, they would have been perfect for her.
I might get Anna, I really like what AG did with her, but $310 is sooooo much. 😖 I agree that Elsa's dress looks kinda cheap. 😕
Yeah, Elsa is gonna be making them a lot more money. I'm interested to see which one sells out first!
@joannamcclelland5049 She's cuter than her sister, and her outfit looks better made.
@@iamsoverybored878 I agree! I really like her and I really want to get her, but the price is so high. 😖
i looooooooove frozen, i hope you watch it one day! elsa's eyes are a bit too dark, almost greenish, but i assume they did that because maybe lighter would look weird. edit: i will say its hilarious to read 'celebrate elsa's strong sense of self [by buying this insanely expensive product]!'
LOL I will prob watch Frozen in the next few weeks. I feel like I'm def getting Anna today so now I need to watch hehe
I agree!
I agree! I have the Winter Shimmer doll and I think she makes a better Elsa.
not the Derrick Barry comparison youre so right ☠
they're sooooooo bad
@@idreamofjonny these girls think people were killed at stonewall
You compared her hair to both a Mortal Kombat character and Paula Deen 🤣. The strange thing is I know exactly what you mean...
@@idreamofjonny I like that idea a lot!!
Im almost certain anna is s joss mold
Yeah, she has Joss's ear shape
Ugh I want them both but the timing is sooo bad foe me. Decisions decisions 😅
I know! I'm also working on my American Girl of Today collection, and while I like AGoT way more than this, I don't wanna spend $750 on each of these dolls on eBay after they sell out 😖
@@idreamofjonny so true
I wonder what Mattel does with all of that preorder money? Play the stocks? Buy and sell property?
Lovely dolls but I'm not a Disney person and the price is too steep for me so I won't be purchasing. Def. agree that I want higher quality historical dolls but not sure if I'd pay $300 for them. I wish they'd do new, high quality outfits for the historical dolls too.
Yeah, I'm definitely craving that original quality. Most collectors are!
i soo agree with you!! $300 is way too high!! & i’m not a big disney fan
Alright, Peppa Pig just interrupted the video.
lol that’s why I got my Kavi too 😂 she was on sale and I could not pass up an American girl doll that I want for $80 dollars.
Yeah, if you wait long enough GOTY usually gets marked way down during a big sale! I paid like $65 for Corinne lol
I was so excited with points we only paid 30 bucks for Kavi. 😂
She's gorgeous and I feel so excited about a brand new doll for so little 😂
I also got the blue hair doll and I was so sad when I took down the braid😢 I still love the color the texture and the length was weird. I keep calling her my discount doll😂
I really want to get a creator to help me create a rainbow bright outfit for her I think she would look incredible with it.
@@kerrysmiles that would be so cool!
I watched Frozen for the first time in 2014 when I was in Phoenix children's hospital when I stayed their For 6 months when I was very sick. I watched Frozen every single day mutable time's a day and then I put Hunter Hayes song invisible on repeat every single night to help me cope with the pain. Hunter gave me the modavaton to get out of the hospital to see him in concert in 2015 which happened and I wasn't out of the hospital a full year yet when I went to my first Hunter Hayes concert
I'm so happy you had that to help you get through and you got to go to the concert! ❤️ I'm actually excited to finally watch Frozen now - I don't think I've heard of anyone that didn't like it, so it's gonna be fun to watch!
