  • Have you been to Brisighella, Italy? I bet you've never even heard of this Italian village, hidden among the picturesque hills of Emilia Romagna. What to expect from this must-visit travel destination in Italy? Spectacular views of the hills (that are just as good as the hills of Tuscany!), great Italian food, typical Italian streets (and one very particular street!), centuries-old Italian houses, medieval castle, clock tower, a labyrinth AND an esoterics manuscript written in the Middle Ages!

    ABOUT:
Hi! I’m Valeria and I’m an expat in Italy. I’ve moved here (almost) on a whim when my plans in Paris got ruined - without speaking the language and totally unprepared, but pretty sure this is gonna be an adventure of a lifetime! Moving to Italy has definitely had its ups and downs, but I love discovering Italian culture, Italian people and, of course, Italian food. Here I post regular travel vlogs, tips on expat life, moving to Italy, personal growth and self-esteem as an expat woman living abroad.

In 2016 I visited Emilia-Romagna, I went to Parma, Modena, stayed in Bologna, Ravenna, Ferrara, Faenza and Comacchio. However, the best day was a visit to Brisighella on the weekend of the medieval festival. I fell totally in love with this place, so charming.

I love Brisighella ... was hoping you would drive to il Parco Regionale della Vena del Gesso (vein of gypsum), the topography is rather unique. It might merit its own vlog. lol

What a surprise find my small village described so good 😊
Living in a small village is relaxing and safe, but unfortunately they don't offer anything for young people if they want study and have a good job and find a partner

I love Brisighella! Sure, there are downsides to living in smaller villages, but that doesn't cancel the fact that they could be absolutely stunning 😊

    Grazie.
