Thanks for this video! I wonder how comes it only got that few likes, as it demonstrates such a master level. I used to practise this exercise on a snare drum but since I am new to cajon it's great to have learned that this as well may be applied for a cajon. Your finger technique is very good! Thank you once again and good luck!
Dear Amntpnn, first of all im sorry if i have mis-spelt your name. My sincere apologies. I'm really happy you have benefited from this video. It makes me feel I've helped others =) Is there anything in particular you'd like me to post next? Let me know! And have a wonderful day! =)
Hey guys, I forgot to mention in this video (or did I?) that practising Frosses using your non-master hand as the master hand is a fantastic way to get your non-master to be as close as possible to your master hand, in terms of strength, dexterity, coordination, nimbleness, and the list goes on. You know what I mean. Have a good one.
Thanks for sharing! I assume you prefer playing fast rolls to use doubles in each hand (left index, left middle right index, right middle) rather then single strokes (left index, right index, left middle, right middle)?
Kamal, I have enjoyed your videos. In this video, you discuss the Fross technique. As a classically trained percussionist, this is a technique I have used, but I have never heard it described as the Fross technique. Are you attributing this to a person by using their last name (such as the Moeller technique on snare/drumset) or is the name derived from a technique used on another instrument? Thank you for your videos, and your response.
Greetings Jim. Hope you’re well. I’m happy you’ve enjoyed watching the videos. I call this the Fross method/technique. I hope to see videos of yourself on the cajon as well!
I really enjoyed your videos and the skillful technics you use. Excellent. I also appreciate your teaching method.
Thank you for your kind words Matthew. I really appreciate it! 😊

Hi Sam, yes I prefer using finger strokes when doing rolls. For me, it’s more economical to do so! :)

Wow. That finger movements really fast. Needs lots of practice.
Which app did you use for this?
Hey Amar, thank you for your kind words 😊🌈🙏 As for the app, I use the Pro Metronome app. It’s available both on iOS and Playstore 👍
