Dude those ARE his ears. Any hardcore DT fan would know he was actually born with extremely hairy ears. It's an extremely rare medical condition. Up until recently he used to shave and wax his ears it but it got too time consuming and expensive so he just let it all grow. In an interview he says the hairy ears actually enhance the focal point of sound waves thus giving him a unique perspective regarding music. Their next album ("The wolf inside of me) to be released in 2020 includes a track about his rare condition and the hardship it created. Run time of the song is roughly 45 minutes.

@@micheladoronzo5506 It is. In fact, the albums from SFAM through Octavarium are all tied. FF's static noise bridges into the begginning of The Glass Prison, and then the very ending of SDOIT bridges into the beginning of As I Am, and the ending of In The Name of God does so into the beginning of The Root of All Evil. Octavarium (the song) then ends going back to TROAE, creating a loop.

In terms of the song meanings: there isnt much. Metropolis Pt 1 is about the building of Rome by Remus and Romulus- two twin brothers who are telepathically linked. Romulus kills Remus and founds Rome.
In Metropolis Pt 1- Their story is retold as "The Miracle" and "The Sleeper" both vying to build "Metropolis".
Metropolis Pt 2- introduces the reincarnation element to the story and is another retelling. This time Metropolis is a woman named Victoria who is being courted by Edward (Romulus) and Julian (Remus). Edward murders both Julian and Victoria.
