I teach teenage boys Jiujitsu. White middle class kids near liberal Boston. They were all …. ALL thrilled Trump won.
I asked if their parents were democrats, half were.
I asked why they were happy.
One said “because I’m hoping we don’t have to attend an assembly forcing me to congratulate another classmate that becomes trans.”
They literally take a boy or girl transitioning and reintroduce them to the school and force these kids to congratulate.
I said that can’t be true. But a couple others there go to the same school and say it’s true.
In short.. the propaganda and madness forced on these kids went so crazy far that it forced them to the right.
Hollywood and news media once understood you can manipulate people with subtle propaganda.
Now the dozen or so boys there told me they all had gay and trans teachers that just ramble to them about how republicans are racist every day.
One then went on about examples of hatred of white men they are forced into them. Then they all told me stories.
Wokeness and things like DEI and affirmative action must end or there will be ten million young men who they’ve forced far right. In a few years they will be the smartest, toughest and angriest 10 or 20 million people in the country and it’ll get bad if they persist with the nonsense.
They have weaponized these kids and they are not scared of the woke people. They are pissed at them.
If this is happening here I can’t even guess how they are turning out in conservative areas

Look what they have done in Australian. One grade school had the boys assemble and apologize to their classmates for being boys. Reported on Sky News Australia. Oh, wait, I think they had the boys apologize for their toxic maleness.
They did get lash-back from the parents.

Conservative areas may not be getting the forced indoctrination they have forced on them. They may be more balanced than others.

That's so heartening to hear. One of the things I'm worried about is the educational system pumping out millions of woke adherents. If every boy that passes through school becomes woke we would be completely screwed. I'm glad that it's backfiring.

As a Nigerian, the decline of Obama's relevancy and legacy makes me so happy. There's a reason so many of us loved and support Trump. Obama and his ilk have a terrible reputation here in Nigeria and much of sub-Saharan Africa. His foreign policy really hindered us and caused so much and caused a lot socioeconomic and political destabilizing. Even under Biden and Harris, Russia was emboldened and sent mercs to destabilize three Sahel countries a d topple their democracies and now islamic insurgency has gotten worse. Same thing with Ghadaffi. I hate Ghadaffi but tr way Obama helpes remove gim was not done well and destabilized the region and us in the Sahel and west Africa. History willnot be kind to him.

If Kamala went on Rogan, it would have backfired on her because she is incapable of being a normal person and having an honest and open conversation, which is what Rogan wants. Every time she answered a question it was based on some tedious political calculation. She adopted the kind of dishonest disposition that the electorate grew tired of and rejected 8 years ago. Rogan would have been forced to transition into a hostile host in an attempt to drag the human out of that political robot to keep a 3 hour conversation going. Kamala the robot would have run out of trite talking points after about 30 minutes.

The irrational efforts to stop Trump indicated they were afraid of him more than a concern about his policies. The more they attacked him, and he kept coming showed his determination to do something that needed to be done.

Benjamin, as a GenXer about to turn 50 with two daughters and a son in this generation, I was touched when you said, “I hope some sincerity of religious experience is gifted to the young generation… that people’s hearts are open to the transcendent in a way that allows them to humble a lot of the hedonic things that are driving people crazy in this generation.”
I think this is a key element of why our culture (and our kids) have gone so far astray.
To this day, the animating idea of my life is that God has a plan for me. It sounds preposterous I know. But it’s true. As a kid, I remember that idea as a beacon through many challenging times. It anchored my life in hope and brought meaning and purpose in the place of despair and nihilism.
Many readers at this point may think that the last thing we need is a bunch of people who think “god” is real and wants them to do certain things. That’s frightening.
But really is it? As if what has replaced that idea is any less scary? Unbridled selfishness and narcissism that threatens to undo norms of culture that have always been.
The American experiment from the founding is inextricably linked with this idea as well, but our society now is obviously post-Christian, and it has been so for two generations at least, so it could be that what Christians call the “good news” or the idea that you are not truly alive until you die to yourself and submit to the transcendent, will once again be a revolutionary idea.
When I think of my 14 year old son and this generation of young men,
I think of how Jesus offered 12 aimless young men living in a conquered culture under Roman occupation a crazy opportunity to “follow him” and they turned the world upside down forever. I think and hope that can happen again and it will be a good thing.

I'm afraid another appeal to another aspect of liberal individualism is not going to work. People are getting ill with self-obsession. What's needed is large goals that that pull people out of self-obsession, and require some kind of collective action that young men can join in with and feel proud and justified to be a part of; women too.
That could be anything from raising a family, to space travel, or religion, civic or ethnic nationalism, military adventurism, etc. (and to be sure, there could be benign and adverse versions of all these things). It's being part of a "we" that matters (and sets the "I" in a larger context).

I think on a larger scale, we're seeing pushback from society of marxist tactics. Overall, I think people recognize these bull$hit tactics, like burning cities, infringing on peoples' private and personal property, and transgendering of minors. Most my friends are democrats and they aren't happy that their party has been hijacked. Similarly, the right won't tolerate fascism.

The point about trump being trump no matter the context is so important. The code-shifting/changing of appeal based on group exposure worked when people were not able to easily access a person in multiple contexts. With the advent of internet media, the ability to quickly view multiple public exposures quickly reveals to even the most braindead average person that a politician is lying to them. When you see a perosn provide two polar opposite views in the space of a week, the only logical conclusion is that *something* is a lie, and the frequency of the shift leaves you unable to assess the person for any signs of truthfulness or determine what their views are.
Trump remains trump whether he's on a podcast for 3hrs or at a trump rally for 6, or mcdonalds for 15 minutes. You can disagree with what he says, but he says the same thing all the time, no matter of he's in Butler, PA or detroit, or california, or climbing into a garbage truck or leaning out of a mcd's window or standing in front of farm equipment in iowa. People recognize that as authentic, even if they hate it.
And what is their to compare to? You brought up Mittens Mom Jeans. Everyone knows romney is a shitheel corporate raiding hack. Tucking your button up into highwaisted brand new pressed jeans for a single public outing is clownishly unauthentic. Trumps notgoing to take off his red tie and loafers to climb into the cab of a tractor, and people don't expect him to. He's Trump, for whatever you take that as.

I completely avoid video games, porn, dating apps, college, and mainstream media.
Somehow, I sense they're all the exact same thing.
    (My sympathies for actual incels).
Personally, I've pretty much been avoiding everyone/everything, for a while.
I guess if I were credentialed/successful, I'd have flexibility in life.
    Whatever.
Is it really even that much of an improvement for most people, lately?
    HASHTAG, black pilled.
I'm almost done getting over a relationship I've been getting over, for 5-10 years.
Probably, by getting back into same relationship.
(Still not sure if we're the kinds of crazy, that are right or wrong for each other.
Although presumably the answer is 'yes').
I consider myself a very-sane exemplar, for the new era. LOL.

I'm a GenXer and I think my cohort largely voted Republican. I know I did this year as well, but I have been a disaffected Democrat (registered even) since Obama was in office. For me, I think a lot of the issue I have with the Democrats is based around what I feel is just extremism. They seem to be hell bent on going as left as they possibly can on a variety of issues. I didn't vote for them because they were the FAR LEFT party in the united states, I voted for them because they were a bit more tolerant of change than the GOP was for decades. I feel like I'm like most people - I don't want the USA getting stagnant and I'm not afraid of changes, but god damn it - I also don't think we should be hellbent on driving the country off a freaking cliff.

Some of the most legendary, Left-Libertarian post punk musicians, were Hindi, and Jewish.
Partly, something like a Shankar homage.
      Partly reclaiming. Maybe.
That symbol was semi-popularly used, without any remaining connotation.

So far, i have made good progress with it and through TH-cam videos and asking my dad and other mechanics. Only a few repairs left😊
