I like how the instant Gil senses Enkidu's presence, he calls forth Ea. Against anybody else, it would take a lot of back and forth to confirm their worthiness to just lay eyes on the treasure Ea is, but vs. Enkidu it is like step 0. as the basic show of respect. Nothing less than 100% is acceptable when they have to chance to meet after 4-5 Millenia.

I do not see him as a villain tbh. They made himself his worst enemy, as it takes much for him to take the fight seriously.But then - it has to. If he would be serious about it from the beginning, none would stand the chance. He's the ultimate powerhouse in Fate universe.
