It is very expensive and frustrating managing a staff of humans. The bigger the staff, the more problems there are. Everything from personal problems to some personalities getting along with others, to paid sick days and always needing more pay, to workman’s comp to OSHA issues.

Terribly costly to buy such techology and the costs for up keeping the machines. These so called robots will need to take cover when the rain , storms and tornados come. Costs for batteries and parts and the challenges of the continual advancement of these tech farming labor bots could really cut into profits. Looks more like Corperate farming . Lastly they are slow so yes they have to work 24 - 7. All night all day.

I live in Holland and know how the fruit is picked here.Still humans do the work!! And the sad thing is,they picked the fruit before it is ripe,not becouse they make mistake butbecouse the market wanted immature fruit.Unripe melons never get tasty.And many other kinds of fruit where I dont know the English name from.If people want tasty fruit ,they have to grow them in their own garden.Even old tasty species seeds are here availeble in webshops.
