Thanks for the video! My pump is only humming so I suspect a capacity. However, I am a rooky. How do I get to the capacitor?

How do you tell if the capacitor is able to build the right charge?what if the capacitor is only charging partially? What other testing can be done? How much of a build up in charge should we see?

Usually if it builds up at all it's usually good. The ones that are dead do nothing. If it's still not running your pump, replace it with a new capacitor of the same rating to see if it will work. I have had a few capacitors before that read fine on the meter but wouldn't start the motor, replaced it and the motor started.

@@truelightpoolsllc4441The thing is the motor wouldn't start so I suspected that it was the capacitor, the motor started.
But 3 to 4 hours later the motor wouldn't start. So I changed the capacitor again and the same problem happened, the motor starts at first but eventually wouldn't later on, any help?

@@loiclabonne5708 It sounds like your motor is overheating. It's probably not the capacitors each time. After it runs 3-4 hours then shuts off, quickly touch the motor casing to see if it is very hot. If it is, wait a few minutes and you should hear a little click from the motor. This is the thermal switch clicking to allow power to flow again to the motor and allowing it to run. The switch is allowing the motor time to cool down some before trying to start it again. If that's what's happening, your motor is overheating for some reason that I don't know how to repair, you may have to replace the motor. Hope that helps.

Titan HD is my preferred brand too. Made in USA, they just perform better for my HVAC needs. Last the longest in the Texas heat.

My capacitor read negative first, then when up and zero out. That normal?

Not really, it usually counts up if it's still good.

Hi please I need help my pool it’s been green a week I’ve use chemicals but still nothing don’t know what to do anymore 😢

Balance pH, run your pump 24/7, brush entire pool, start with 15 pounds chlorine shock and a whole bottle of yellow treat algicide and also 1/2 gallon Leslie's algea control liquid algicide. Add this in the morning, check chemicals again in the evening to add more if needed. You must maintain free chlorine level at a 5 or higher for about 2-3 days and then all will turn white, this indicates the algae is dead. Then you can add a floccing agent to make everything sink to bottom, then vacuum to waste. The main mistake people make when trying to turn a pool around is not use enough chlorine shock. The chlorine will win if you use enough along with the yellow treat.

I will make video describing the process to turn a pool around quickly. Thanks for the idea!

@@truelightpoolsllc4441 Couldn't agree more with people not using enough chlorine. I've seen this 100's of times. Customer added algaecide and several other chemicals, pool never improved. Another big one is not running the support system enough hours.
