- CIA chief William Burns made a big claim on Iran's nuclear programme amid rumours of Tehran conducting its first-ever atomic bomb test on October 5. Speaking to CBS News, Burns said "It appeared it has been accelerated but that it did not seem that Iran had reversed the decision to suspend the weaponization aspect of it."
