That actually doesn't make sense as 90% of the exes shown are also from the void and the very fact that Lord X is actually Sonic.exe 3 years later from an alternate timeline, that's why he says "Welcome back Old friend"

Exeller couldn't make it to the party
The first one isn't the OG Sonic.EXE, but rather MY5TCrymson's EXE. The actual OG X had grey shoes and a darker bluish purple tinted quills with sickly pale skin.
Maybe the reason rewrite wasn’t with all the other exes at the last part is because he just inserted himself into the song then just left

Lord X’s part gave me CHILLS and is easily the best, I love how he shifts the tone completely too, he just shows up, and has that overwhelming presence of unease rather than hardcore energy like the others. And in a weird way, shares the closest bond with Boyfriend.
The Cycles motif was also incredibly heavenly asf- 🖤 ✨

Man honestly I like his xenophanes design because it’s so unique and it’s a perfect evolution of his classic design, the crystals spawning from spikes to show how spikes they are, an overexagoration of how Sonic’s spines are so spikes

i really like how during the last few seconds of the song where all the EXE's do one final part each, Rewrite is particularly absent.
its a nice detail, considering how rewrite is so... different from the rest; not being outright bloodthirsty or malicious but is just... off for the most part (in a good way OFC)
you can tell hes not like the rest, from his design, vocals, lore, story, lyrics, everything; he is NOT like the rest.

Dang, I remember when the OG Exe first made the rounds, its SO weird to say I've seen all the forms this man has taken.
Its even sillier to think the funny beep-bop game is what basically brought the character back into the light in a great way, so many cool Exes came about and its nice to see em.
A lot of different phases of Sonic.EXE's existence are shown here in this song. Let's catalog them!
1. OG Sonic.EXE (2011): The very original from the realm of videogame creepypastas, made by JC the Hyena. Admittedly it quickly became regarded as one of the most infamous ones.
2. Exetior (2017): One of the first reinterpretations of Sonic.EXE's story and character. Establishing its own world and fleshed out characters. His debut game, Nightmare Beginning, set a new standard of quality for EXE games going forward. Created by Jaiz Koys
3. Bratwurst's Sonic.EXE (2016): A Noteworthy take on Sonic.EXE that originates from Teenage Bratwurst's Sonic.exe Trilogy video series. He is depicted as a ruthless killer and takes pleasure in said killing. He is also the first EXE to have more than one form, him gaining a new form as he gained more power across his series.
4. Lord X (2020): A complete reimagining of the character and story, being a more experienced and powerful version of Sonic.EXE done by JoeDoughBoi. He remembers the first time he & the player encountered each other, and he wants to show to them his world and how it's grown since then. Lord X became regarded as one of the first genuinely interesting takes on the EXE idea.
5. Xenophanes (2021): The 2nd major reimagining of the character done by AstranomiconX. This take was a taller, lankier, more exaggerated being with his quills being crystallized. This being became popular from his featured appearance in the Vs. Sonic.EXE mod for the game Friday Night Funkin'.
6. Xanthus (2022): He is a being that started out as a violet orb of pixels but later was able to copy the appearance of Sonic the Hedgehog after copying his data. His ultimate goal is to take control of Sonic's world and rule over it as its king. He is also noteworthy for appearing in a mod for Friday Night Funkin' called Undying Phoenix.
7. Rewrite (2022): A demonic entity said to act like a digital version of God himself. Originally conceived as a version of Sonic.EXE but after his game was rewritten numerous times. His appearance mostly resembles Sonic himself but has several quirks about his design that make him look uncanny. As if he were taken right out of an old 90's era obscure computer game.
8. Examorph (2024): A relatively new entity made by Francesco's Toon. Starting out as a retake of Xenophanes specifically, but changed to a being trapped in the video game world of Sonic that has the ability to morph into whatever it wants.
9. 2011 X (2023): A modern-day take on Sonic.EXE made by JoeDoughBoi and effectively the new "official" version of the character, replacing the OG. This came after the ownership of the character was transferred to Joe and brought with it a full revamp of the game that started it all. His game does remain faithful to the OG creepypasta game but has a better execution of tone and horror through subtle and overt changes. Another notable thing is his design while not changing much, his face now looks frighteningly ugly and it feels genuinely unpleasant to look at. While also striking a weird balance of looking goofy and terrifying if that makes sense.
And that is all the versions of Sonic.EXE shown in this song. Wow! I can't believe how many variations of this creepy pasta entity exist nowadays. I guess it all goes back to the potential the OG story had, and people thinking of ways to make a story like EXE's better, not-as-cliched, and more effective at horror. Personally, I think the latest one, 2011 X, is probably the first retake to actually make Sonic.EXE scary again. And something tells me there will be more to come in the future.

Actually, OG Sonic.exe is from the fangame duology Sonic.exe and Sally.exe by MY5TCrimson because he has red shoes, unlike JC's take that has gray shoes.

1:48 With him being my personal favorite Exe already, I quite enjoy how Lord X enters the song.
He's a very strange and unique, yet recognizable and fitting figure among the others. He doesn't even appear in the thumbnail, making him seem like a sort of anomaly, a true oddity amongst the Exes. But what I like most, is how he's portrayed. He enters immediately with, _"H e l l o....Old Friend...!"_ X genuinely sounds happy to see you, there's not a hint of malice or malevolence in his voice. His entire section is calm and tranquil, almost nostalgic, like a true friend you haven't seen in a long time coming to greet you. I've always viewed Lord X in a lighting like that. Unlike his younger times when he was the "Original Sonic.exe", he's moved from those times of torment and hunger for power. X has now grown old, withered, and wise. Instead of viewing you as his prey or another soul to trap into his game, he honestly views you as his friend; as someone who he's shared many adventures and experiences with. (Albeit the experiences for the player were probably traumatic and horrifying.)
Though it's not to say that Lord X is like a "good" Exe, he's just much wiser, mature, and relaxed. But, he still has hints of his past evil nature and deeds, and shall always indeed be a malevolent hell spawn of The Void. Something I feel he promptly reminds you of at the end of his section with his all too familiar hoarse cackle.
To say that it is incredible falls short with a tremendous song.

No, they had literally banned Xeno with other characters (but that was a waste of time because they later unbanned them)

@@glitchy3963 Literally because of the ba- of the creators, but since they were already banning too many exes Gamebanana dev's got tired and made the rule that you can only ban the character if you had a license and in case you didn't know, none of the exes have a license because they are based on an existing AI, which is Sonic in this case, so SEGA would have to ban Sonic so that the exes can be banned.

It's an incredibly good song, but it would be nicer to see more EXE.The chromatics are good, the instrumental is on the level, the overall sound is excellent, the drawings are excellent.

I like how Xeno and Xanthus have their sonic body mutated much more than others, so we can see parts of their original being. I wish more exes used knuckles body(like duke) amy’s, tails’, and others. I am annoyed to see another exe in Sonic. But 2011 is original, so hes okay, Xeno and Xanthus not really look like Sonic, and Lord X is fine, but the rest is a stupid Sonics. No, no I like Sonic, but not the fact exes use his body.(Btw 2017x is okay too)
I would say Rewrite is fine because of how he really thinks himself to be Sonic and not a fake. Rewrite has his own reasons too aswell.
