  • To continue the holiday celebration here’s another themed video featuring a Williams Jersey Central Trainmaster and a Prewar Lionel 224 pulling gondolas filled with presents. At the very beginning is a G scale train setup under our Christmas tree consisting of a few modified/repainted Bachmann starter set cars and big hauler. I’ll show it again in more detail if there’s interest in this set. As for the song it’s Boogie Woogie Santa Claus sung by Patti Page digitized off of the original 78 rpm record with some help by vintage windup dancing Santa figures. As always thank you all for watching and happy holidays!

It’s been a tradition for us for years to set up a G scale train beneath the tree. It started out with a cheap plastic battery powered set then became an electric bachmann set that we still use

Nothing better than Christmas, Santa and Trains! Love your decorations and the Santa on the ZW is the best!
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

That dancing Santa was a last minute idea just for the heck of it but was quite hilarious! Merry Christmas to you too!

Bachmann big haulers are always great Christmas tree trains! Also the dancing santas made me laugh!

Haha!! I knew somebody would get a kick outa that! As for the big hauler, for all the hate they get from rivet counters it’s been a very fine runner and looks ok detail wise. After all being a $25 set I got at a thrift store I can’t complain

@@richardstrainsandmore I've always enjoyed big haulers. I had 5 at one time (sold 4 still have 2). They were never meant to be highly detailed, just good enough to go around a tree and affordable for most folks. But rivet counters don't care, they'll criticize anything for anything.

@@unionpacific8332 my thoughts as well, I could never afford high quality G scale trains but all the years I’ve had this engine it’s ran fine without problems. In fact it runs excellent at slow speeds and pulled 4 heavy passenger cars with no problem, pretty impressive for a starter set loco

@@richardstrainsandmore Agreed, I don't collect G scale so having a nice engine and set for the tree is all I needed.

@@richardstrainsandmore would you be interested in a Christmas video challenge that I’m working on with some other model railroaders who send me there videos?
