  • Two electric train sets arrive for public viewing at 4th & King in San Francisco on September 23, 2023. This video focuses on the speakers and their presentations at the podium before the tours got underway.
Near the end of the video there are tight shots of heavy cables running from the wayside to the bottom of the train sets. They supply power during the tour since the OCS in this section of the rail line is not energized.
There are copyright restrictions in this video due to perhaps the music heard in the background from the public address system (Yah Mo B There · James Ingram · Michael McDonald ℗ 1983 Qwest Records) before the presentations began. By the way, I have copy of that 45rpm single in mint condition that I purchased when it was released 30 years ago ..not for sale by the way.

Thanxs Caltrain for the sign language interpreter!!! I'm a deaf person from Germany. My country is so poor when it comes to sign language translation for political speeches or events.
    Good video, David! 👍

Usually don’t like the square, blocky look of many US double decker trains, but seeing this Stadler kisses in this design is just the coolest thing ever, cause it’s so different.

Love the new trains. I only wished they had improved the bike storage. I haven’t looked into it too much but it seems likes it’s the same old design with the bungee cords.
