@@Zach-un2js its really not though in this day and age. sadly japanese studios are used to minimum wage workers for their animations, which to be fair, is usually fine for drawn art. It just falls apart with CG because you cant have a senior artist do the keyframes in cg like in traditional animation. There are a few exceptions among the studios but the Japanese conservative mentality really slows down the progress with quality

Every plan he made being always perfectly done is probably his Intelligence stats speaking rather than pure luck. Everytime he completely outmaneuvered someone in non-battle, he isn't even planning it. It's his subconscious intelligence stats

This has got to be the number 1 most badass entrance in anime. Anyway this is one of the series where it is hard for the anime adaptation to bring out the full details mentioned in the Light Novels because a huge chunk of the writings are always as inner monologues. Ainz asked for an applause because he was so thrilled at setting a new record to the number of summoned Dark Youngs. Meanwhile, the Empire soldiers were all praying for the safety of the Kingdom soldiers in their hearts. Jircniv originally wanted to use this as a gauge of Ainz strength, thinking that single spell should be some kind of really powerful fireball that kills at most a thousand. Gazef who knew Ainz's power better had a really bad feeling and tried to warn and persuade his king that Ainz was super dangerous and to give in to his demand but not even Gazef had expected this.
Also the anime is first and foremost to sell the books and Albedo figurines. Worked on me and you apparently. Not complaining, I love the books and admittedly I would not have known about them without the anime. Just explaining the facts.

I get that drawing massive armies and huge enemies and then animating them well is hard, but this is....it just does not do this amazing story justice. There was 240000 in total, the left and right flank had 70000 each and the middle had 100000. He killed around 130-200 thousand. He didn't decimate the entire army so the death count doesn't surpass 200000. He killed less than 200000

This is by far the best visualization of power that I have ever seen in an anime. Yea, you got AOT, but everything doesn't come together in the same way. The instant death of an entire wing of an army, the fear of the allies and enemies alike, the stampeding creatures...Kugane Maruyama is an incredible writer.

The funny thing is that Yggrasil (the game Ainz played before getting isekai's) was explicitly one of the worst mmo's of his time. It was only popular due to the sheer amount of customizable options it had over the competitors. I don't remember if that info made it to the anime or not but I thought it'd be interesting to share.

That hourglass is a cash shop item that lets him instantly cast super-tier spells. Normally it takes time to cast the spells. Since he no longer has access to the cash shop, it seems wasteful to use an item he can't replace anymore. You'd think he would just take his time since he wasn't under any threat here.
In classic WoW terms, it's like a raid geared Warlock coming to Goldshire, nuking the extremely low level guards, and summoning 5 Doomguards from their corpses.

In the novel it was more badass i think when the enemy retreated the remaining enemy soldiers everytime they heard a sheep makes a noise they started to breakdown and yelled "All Hail Ainz Ooal Gown" or something
they cut it off at the worst time. When the soldiers start clapping one of those monsters comes closer. fearing their lives, they clap harder and harder the closer that thig gets until they finally run away in terror.
I feel like the cgi works from an in universe perspective, we know that some rules from Yggdrasil still work in the new world so I always just assumed that the cgi is animations from Yggdrasil that carried over into the new world because there is no way that the game could handle the armies said to be fielded by nazarick

Just imagine how much more epic this scene would be if it was not only drawn better and more seriously, but animated better. I get that drawing massive armies and huge enemies and then animating them well is hard, but this is....it just does not do this amazing story justice. This show deserves so much better, if you ask me. I say this because I love it.

There was 240000 in total, the left and right flank had 70000 each and the middle had 100000. He killed around 130-200 thousand. He didn't decimate the entire army so the death count doesn't surpass 200000. He killed less than 200000

This is by far the best visualization of power that I have ever seen in an anime. Yea, you got AOT, but everything doesn't come together in the same way. The instant death of an entire wing of an army, the fear of the allies and enemies alike, the stampeding creatures...Kugane Maruyama is an incredible writer.

The funny thing is that Yggrasil (the game Ainz played before getting isekai's) was explicitly one of the worst mmo's of his time. It was only popular due to the sheer amount of customizable options it had over the competitors. I don't remember if that info made it to the anime or not but I thought it'd be interesting to share.
I wonder where it'll all lead, since Ainz' IRL side comes from a dystopian and cynical world. He is more or less becoming a continuation of it in a more innocent setting and doesn't seem to realize it.

Since he no longer has access to the cash shop, it seems wasteful to use an item he can't replace anymore. You'd think he would just take his time since he wasn't under any threat here.

especially apparent when you see the guild having PvP maniac like Peroroncino (basically the reason why Shalltear is the strongest NPC in 1v1 scenario bar Rubedo), the actual nuke of the group like Ulbert, or the World Champion himself that is Touch Me
He's the weakest at PvP. He's actually really strong since his roleplay build is so good in the new world with the lack of equally leveled players.

they cut it off at the worst time. When the soldiers start clapping one of those monsters comes closer. fearing their lives, they clap harder and harder the closer that thig gets until they finally run away in terror.
I feel like the cgi works from an in universe perspective, we know that some rules from Yggdrasil still work in the new world so I always just assumed that the cgi is animations from Yggdrasil that carried over into the new world because there is no way that the game could handle the armies said to be fielded by nazarick
