I love how she is so protective of her Cheers character as if she's an extension of herself. That 3-part episode they talked about was fantastic, some of the best TV writing of the decade. It truly did have ran the gamut from incredibly hilarious, silly humor to meaningful dramatic moments. And at the heart of it was the absolutely compelling relationship between Diane and Sam.
