It sure looks good but the C&C feel is not there, if you go look up the C&C death animations, a lot of time the tanks stops and after a few seconds burst into a moderate explosion that sends piece flying.

I would think the way to play with exploding battlemasters would be a wide, thin, concave formation that minimizes the damage your tank deaths deal to your own forces and spreads out the enemy force's attention so that more of your tanks can penetrate their lines before they explode. The only reason to clump up like all these players seem to be doing is if you expect attacks from multiple angles, but on a map like this, that's really not a possibility.

The quick kill times, limited mobility of units, and effectiveness of aoe weapons definitely give the mod a heavy, messy feeling. It seems as if they're going the popular Generals Zero Hour mod route: Shockwave mod. and I am not mad at all.. I played shockwave mod for the past 10-12 years and to me it feels like what ZH COULD HAD been if EA didn't put so much time constraints on the developers.
I dont know if the explosions or skill of the players made it kinda messy at times it felt like they just sent all units in attackmove across the map though with the nuklear battlemasters acting with what felt like 1/3 nuke effect completly relatable

How do you select units on screen? Besides click drag, I mean RAR style? Or any RTS really. I can’t seem to use hot keys to collect units on screen. I’m forced to chase them . Also, no quick keys for buildings?
those complaining about the real destruction are very weak minded. 1 of the best things put into the game is all the visuals and the fresh look keeping an old game looking new is what this is all about. go play the old versions of the games if you dont want explosions. another good game as always
The game is nice... Looks balanced and amusing, but I kept having the feeling that Michael Bay would come out of nowhere and say "Cut!" It's like you have to wait and see what was the outcome of each battle

I feel like if armies were a bit faster stalemates could be broken easier. Also are there no interceptors? I think with interceptors screening the bombers the southern team could've pushed through a couple of times even with the slow unit speed, they had the AA to get the bombers but not before the bombs were dropped.
Wondering why they didn't pick Kane's Wrath for the gameplay aspect since it was larger and a little free like Generals. But I guess the RA3 was the latest at that time.
The problem with the original Generals, Including Zero Hour, When you make a big army and go attack your opponents base. Because of your army is so big that some of the most important units are left behind because the movement speed isn't that much balanced, i mean yeah that's supposed to be logical but it really ruins the gameplay + the units tend to get stuck on each other sometimes they would just glitch and stuck there and will never move again, so when you have to attack you can only keep small armies keep on coming until you reach and destroy the enemy's defenses, making it your only chance to attack unless they rebuild and get back on working properly. Super weapons do exist so i guess that's the other 'only chance' you can use as an advantage. But here in Generals Evolution, there's no delay big armies and action packed type of gameplay you don't get to be pissed off because your big army got stuck on a goddamn tree and already got annihilated by tomahawks or scud launchers, If only CnC Generals was still on it's feet and getting itself improved, not getting improved by some people who made a custom remastered mod of the game, those problems should've been already fixed or making C&C:Generals Evolution official, well i guess that's all there is to it.

Hey Sybert, just got back into watching these through Bricky’s shoutout. Just wondering, are you using some kind of mod to make the game 60fps? I saw you did a video a few years ago of a mod that did that but I was curious if you’re still using that same mod or if there’s a different one that you’re using.
Just interpolate the footage up to 60fps in the edit. As of right now that mod doesn't work with 30fps replays and is too buggy to use for everyday purposes.
I still think rocket soldiers spam is ruining the game. I suggest significantly reducing their reload speed but increase the damage per rocket. Or maybe add some coaxial to the mbt's, in exchange for making them cost more.

It"s because this version of the engine is newer. I do want them to figure out 8 player though.
