Strasburg Railroad 90: Caboose Hops in Paradise (July 2020)

On Sunday July 26th 2020, former Great Western 2-10-0 90 was tasked with doing “At The Throttle” runs on the Strasburg Railroad from Leamon Place to just past Beilers crossing. I was able to catch the ferry move to Leamon Place and a lot of the Throttle sessions from Beilers and Leamon Place. I was also able to chase the ferry move back to the Strasburg yard. Enjoy Caboose hops in Paradise!

I thought how #90 can look for her next appearance. Her smokebox is repainted back to silver, her running boards are painted with silver trim and her number plate is black and gold just like on her time on the great western, the roof of her cab is painted red, her tender has a CB&Q style logo in the middle but lettered Strasburg railroad & her cab is lettered and numbered in gold with the #90 in the middle and the letters G.W.R below.

@@SteamZRailfan Well, I Do Believe Her Overall design is based on that of The CB&Q, So It would make sense. Also the Great Western Did Interchange with The CB&Q.

Great video! Quick question. I'm not to familiar with the area but I'm heading there my self soon! First time actually! That dirt road near paradise i believe. Do you need permission to drive on it and go to that spot? Or can you just drive on it without any permission? Thanks! Talking about the spot at 5:31.

Well, rewind to past years and no but recently land owners have been cracking down so I’d just stay at the crossings and Leamon place if I were you
