I sold my Tiger 660 sports and now own a Voge 500dsx and I don't regret it, I was going to buy the Honda 500nx but it's boring and nothing compared to what you get with a Voge. My daughter and I go out for long rides, and it doesn't miss a beat, and as for the brakes, once they are bedded in, there is no drama, so another great review keep them coming 👍
The joys of a bike that can actually be used practically. These modern mid range twins have enough power that can be used daily on our congested and speed monitored roads. So many new and experienced riders alike are realising these bikes can be immense fun yet sensible too. Plus the incredible amount of gear you get as standard and at an astonishingly good price. 45 years ago if you had a 500cc bike that was considered a proper bike and yet most of them made less power than this modern one does. Truly ‘less is more’ when it comes to these smaller adventure bikes.
These are a good bike, ready to go anywhere for those with the ability to ignore the noise about the brands from China - Voge are doing well, users i know all seem happy and the internet echoes this sentiment
Man, What a dedication!! This rain would have made me do a u-turn home 😂 great job!!! Thanks to your review (and to some others) I'm test riding one tomorrow morning.
Another great video, no fancy sunny exotic locations, just wet Yorkshire in summer! This is real-world testing. I would have thought that the Benelli bikes were the direct competition? The 702 with the free luggage possibly be the better option, I'm not sure if the 502 has the free luggage now. All of these bikes offer a lot for the money, especially if you plan to keep for a few years, thus avoiding the heavy initial depreciation .
Excellent review, I think the Voge and CF Moto have actually hit a chord here in Europe.... Yes the GS riders will turn there noses up... But reality says that in 5 years, these firms and there bikes will have a good chunk of the market.... Good cheap affordable bikes.... With as much quality as most other builders.
Im actively waiting on the 800cc variant. Ill be buying 10 as they are going to be used for my bike tour company in the Andalucia region of Spain. Which im actively setting up as we speak.
I didn't know Voge did an 800 version, I own the 900 DSX it's broken the bike market here in Spain. Did you mean the KOVE 800 ? That looks a great bike at it's weight and it did well in the Paris Dakar. The 900DSX is unbelievable for the price. The sister of the BMW F900GS ✌️
Don't complain about the rain, it's preventing us from spontaneously combusting due to reaching the "tipping point of global boiling." It leaves 3 choices, don't ride, get soaked or pay more tax. I choose option 1 😆
I saw these in a Ducati/Voge place in Jerez last month. It makes you think when you look at a loaded bike like this then the cost of a simple Ducati Scrambler. As ever though...l'd need more info before thinking of buying one with my own £. Parts supply for future is on my mind but also quality control, in a Triumph/Indian or BMW/Chinese collaboration they ensure their own European quality standards are employed in production. Their reputation is at stake. Another good video.
Thanks so much for getting soaked. Your videos are superb as usual and I always look forward to them sir. Interesting bike, these Chinese machines are getting better. I had a 2021 Benelli TRK 502 and the spec was excellent then but it was underpowered unfortunately. This year I have bought a new Honda NX500 and had to spend almost £7400 to get to the spec of this bike I tell you. I do love the NX as it's so light weight but I have to admit these bikes are very interesting if you need a smaller capacity ADV. The trouble is where I live in Worcestershire, I cannot find anybody supplying Voge or CFMOTO or any demo machines and this of course means issues with services etc unless you wish to do a very long ride!! If we had more dealers I would definately be up for a test ride on one of these. Thanks again for the superb video.
Nice one! That's commitment! I rode the Voge ac525 x the other day. It was quite impressive but a little vibey for me! I like the model you have tested, I'll take a look. O'h! You get a 5 years garantia, (In europe, es) with conditions! Desde 95 €/mes* (monthly payment PCP 3 years) I could not see the mileage allowance per year Entrada: 849,30 € (Deposit) Última cuota: 3.111,49 € (Final payment)
Another quality review Dave. You dont make it easy choosing a new bike! I thought I had made my choice and then you keep coming up with alternatives! Looking forward to a review of the new CFMoto 700MT if it is on your radar in the near future.
Originally offered at £5700 otr without luggage or £6200 with luggage. Both options available in Europe however Moto GB are now only bringing in the latter variant and making out your getting the luggage for free , not sure why they have done so I’m sure they would sell more at the lower price as not everyone wants luggage so why pay extra for it. Lovely bike thanks for the review 👍 well priced if a cash buyer however should you take the finance route that’s not the case due to stupendously high APR being offered by Moto GB making it a less attractive option.
That lovely precipitation reminded me of similar conditions back in the 1960's on my 150-mile commute, but that was on a naked bike, as they all were back then... Don't you just love an English summer? Adverse conditions notwithstanding, thank you for the nice review. It's not a bike we get in Oz, but it looks very attractive, even more so at the asking price.
@@thebingleywheeler Would if I could, Dave, but it's a bit like yours at the moment. Still, it is mid-winter, after all. Temps were 9 /17C today, 9/20C and cloudy tomorrow, no rain until next Wednesday. Life's tough... 😊

Great review Dave. Royal Enfield needs to step up their game because the Chinese bikes are taking over. That engine sounds great and you get a lot more features as standard equipment. To me the RE engines are too unrefined compared to other makes. That bike makes about the same power as the standard 650 RE engine and the Voge is only 525cc. I'd choose the Voge or a CFMoto over any RE any day. My opinion, my choice. Thanks Dave for taking it on the chin riding in the rain for us. Ride safe. Cheers

I took one out and thought that it was an excellent bike. I was about to buy one until I found out that it needs servicing every 3000 miles. I think of Chinese bikes like Chinese phones. I've had a good number of Chinese phones over the years. Very cheap and very nearly as good as phones costing 8 times the price. In some areas they are actually better than the competition. The only downside it's when something goes wrong then you have no back up, they are disposable effectively. The current lot of Chinese bikes seem very good but once those warranties are expired then what? Would you be able for example to order master cylinder re build kits or caliper seals or a fuel pump, the list goes on. I think with the CF Moto brand you'd probably be ok because of KTM but these other brands..I don't know.
Thanks for the review. Did you buy the side luggage racks separately or do they offer them in the dealership? I don't want their top+side set for 1K which is in my country, and I'm searching for cheaper racks alternatives to put saddlebags once in a while, but the exhaust location is making the universal racks, a dangerous choice. Dealer I visited today quoted 6000 mile service intervals. Wondering how it will compare with my F750GS, i don't want to change then struggle for Motorway use. Its certainly a lot easier to get on the centre stand. Unfortunately no demo model on Dealers close to me. Any comments from anyone that has ridden one?
There will always be a niche of people who just must have the most expensive bikes, accessories, riding gear etc. and so companies like BMW, Klim et al will continue to make their living from them.
When it comes to vehicles; there's cheap, good and high tech. You can have two of the three. High tech and cheap is a recipe for future disaster. The only way to build complex machinery down to a price is to sacrifice quality.
It seems that many modern motorcycles have service intervals that are designed to be money makers for the dealers and not to be do-it-yourself friendly. I don't want to pay double for a motorcycle because of expensive dealer services. I'd rather service my motorcycle in my driveway that pay a dealer to do it. You don't save money paying a dealer to service your motorcycle.
Why do all manufacturers insist on putting unnecessary, unwanted, overpriced electronic gimmicks on bikes? We just want engine, wheels, seat, bars and some decent weather!
Impressive bike excellent review and spot on with the fact that the Chinese are doing exactly what the Japanese did in days gone by . 👌👍

Pickle bathing, that’s all I heard 😂
Watch reviewers who own the bikes for several months. One day wonders always overate.

Absolutely yes I would 👍🏻

10:37 nice to see you taking advantage of the global warming there Dave 😉
It’ll be worth nowt when it’s trade in time
Don’t be silly
Looks like they thought an awful lot about the GS1200 in terms of design....
Suffering for your art dave . lol
As always buddy 😎
rather you than me in those harsh conditions ,
Depreciation will be a killer .
Always enjoy your reviews
Not my kind of bike but a good watch

Looks like you a bit beat up on this review

Service intervals????
3000 🤷🏻♂️
If you want to be precise it’s 3728 miles but Motogb say 4000
@@richardcheetham4102 yeah agreed, still in my opinion that's below industry standard, but it is what it is 🤷🏻♂️
Dealer I visited today quoted 6000 mile service intervals. Wondering how it will compare with my F750GS, i don't want to change then struggle for Motorway use. Its certainly a lot easier to get on the centre stand. Unfortunately no demo model on Dealers close to me.
Any comments from anyone that has ridden one?
@@mickmacman mine sits comfortably at 75 mph on the motorway
Nothing worse than a soggy crotch 😂👍🏍🇬🇧 great bike great review.
Depends whose it is. As Tara Fitzgerald said in that Welsh mountain film. Everything looks better when it's wet 😊
so why pay over 3 times as much for a GS, think BMW days are coming to an end, well done.
There will always be a niche of people who just must have the most expensive bikes, accessories, riding gear etc. and so companies like BMW, Klim et al will continue to make their living from them.
12:45 cold wet plums huh 😂
I've said it before I'll say it again pragmatism always out does idealism Chinese bikes are here to stay!
oh man, that tag on a twine as a key chain dangling in the wind even in front of the selfie camera the whole time of the ride ....

Never heard of this brand but looks very much like GS BMW
Buy cheap, enjoy it and don't worry that it'll be worth nothing in 3 years' time?
Beneli trk is far better . .
and far (Top-)heavier. Believe me, I test rode it.
English bike number plates 🤮💩
Wouldnt buy a Chinese motorcycle no matter how cheap. I have pride in the bikes I own.
So do I…and I have pride in my CF Moto 👍🏻
Bmw’s have Chinese engines 😂
Why do all manufacturers insist on putting unnecessary, unwanted, overpriced electronic gimmicks on bikes?
We just want engine, wheels, seat, bars and some decent weather!
