Even with the hologram, they are asking for the driver's license verification letter from Indian consulate via VFS Services. I am going there now in 30 minutes as I speak. My driving license is more than 12 years old with proper hologram and in English language. FYI.
@indiansinaustralia_live It's actually weird because the state of Telangana isn't included in the parivahan website for authentication and verification of drivers licenses. Hence I had to submit it and pay $89 altogether for form fees, photos, 1 photocopy and postal fees for drivers license verification letter to be delivered to my address. Simple as that. Isn't Telangana state and Hyderabad city a part of India? Perhaps the central government doesn't consider it.
@@SIGMA_CENTRAL_IKON’m also from Telangana and they requested the form from Indian Consulate. Do we need original letter of Extract of Driving license copy from India or scanned copy is fine? And Do we need to fill any VFS form online or we can go their and do it without booking any slot. Thanks
@manideepreddy7886 Yes, booking slots are not there. It's a straight away walkin to the Indian consulate. They should remove the booking option in the website and the form, which BTW, it's URL link is also not working.

Yup, If DL is held for more than 12 months but less than 3 years Then you can apply for Provisional P2 driver licence You need to pass a knowledge test and a driving test.

I never felt the need of driving earlier but now I have my DKT scheduled for tomorrow. My question is since i'm on PR for a year now that is for more than 3 months. Can my indian license still be converted to full license if I pass instructor test later or i have to go through the P1 P2 process?
Hi, no problem, Pass the DKT - show your Indian Driving License, they will verify it, and then they will give you P1 (on this P1 you can do test learning if you want), also they give you another piece of paper saying you have International full license, Keep that paper with you its very important show it on Driving Test day also expectation is without P1 you cannot give actual Driving Test, However no need to keep P1 for 1 year, You can book Driving test next week and get Full license If they can't verify your license then they will give you 2 options, get P1, stay with P1 for 1 year the P2 2 years and so on, 2nd option - get DLV Verification and again book DKT exam then Book Driving Test & Pass Driving Test - They will give you full License I got PR in 2018, applied Australia License in 2021, got it without problem, All the best

Hi Bhavik, Its a bit long process 1. Book DKT exam (long queue dates are usually 1 month from now) - search DKT booklet and read 3-4 times, simultaneously book driving tests for some experience 2. Clear DKT exam, and show your Indian License, should be in English and should have the chip on DL, 3. Book Actual Driving Test - again almost 1 month long queue - all the best
