How do you face dark times? Notice I didn’t ask how should you face dark times, but rather how do you? Pain and suffering are universal, but for the Christian, they are valuable and even beneficial. Today we take a look at the apostle Paul’s own personal experience. He had a very positive episode followed by a very negative one. It rattled him at first, but eventually he learned a lesson that lifted him to a place where he could face the darkness with confidence and grace.

I'm really suffering in a painful relationship with a family member... this sermon saved me from walking away from this person tonight... it's been a very difficult week and every day I pray to be an excellent example of Christ in their life, that they will turn their heart to Christ... but tonight I was pretty low and wanted to close the door and leave this pain and after hearing this I got my knees and prayed. The holy spirit told me to be the peace I want to feel in this family... that's all... all I have to do is be the peace, not the drama not the anger.
