This movie recap is very touching for me, especially since I’m a first generation Chinese American, a son to an immigrant Chinese family. Throughout my entire childhood and teenage years my father rarely spend time with me, because he’s always put work above spending time with his family. To this very day, I greatly respect both of my parents, for their hard work and perseverance in providing me and my siblings a better life. At the same time, I am also saddened by how we rarely spend time with one another when I was young and as a result we don’t really know much about one another. Which is why, when I became a father, I hope to both work hard to support my family, and at the same times, always try to find ways to spend time with my family, especially with my future sons and daughters. And I am really looking forward to watch this movie someday.
You are lucky because most young people in China do not have siblings and are only child with no one to feel for parents on the same level, have to deal with their old age and death alone. Also if you are born there you are 2nd gen and parents are 1st gen

And if you get on that plane right now, it'll disappear forever. I know we could both go on with our lives and we'd both be fine, but I've seen what we could be like together. AND I CHOOSE US. Please, Kate. One cup of coffee..."
This really reminded me of a webtoon called Marry My Husband by LICO. Explains a story a bout a girl who went back to the past to get a revenge on her husband for cheating with her best friend. She also travel back time with a taxi and her father being the driver. Great story 😭💖
Just once I'd like to see the guy in these types of movies try to explain his situation and, for a change, the wife says "Really? Oh, that is so cool! Let's try some experiments to see how far the switch goes!"
I am that wife.....LOL! For me it would be a good way to prove what he is saying or, if he's just having a tough time, for us to have some fun. Either way, its a win.😊
You want to know what's so funny about this movie? How realistic is. There are people who speak about wanting to be rich but don't understand that money and you're greed for it doesn't make you happy, it never will. However, having someone who cares for you - loves you and who you can build a life with; that's right "build" a life with not someone living off of your success. That is your moment of happiness, your piece of heaven; contentment.
I don't agree. For me, this is the case of "the grass is greener on the other side" type of deal. Having someone who loves you doesn't automatically make you happy, I know people with families who have very deep depression and people who are alone and rich and are very happy.
@@czechowaboth of you prove a good point. Neither poor or rich family doesn’t justify happiness, I believe it’s on how things are handle that pursuit those fulfilment of happiness. My favourite movie Family man!!! Tea leoni and Nicolas Cage do show that they have an awesome life. This is only recap so i would find and watch the whole movie and i hope they show the same.
why do you have to have "the best" of anything? Just try to live a life that makes you and others happy, without labelling a part of your life "better" than someone else who may not have what you have. We don't all have the same families. Perhaps more apt would be to say relationships instead of family as that encompasses the important people and the ones you love rather than the ones who share your DNA.
