Thanks for the valuble info.I did not know why I only had 4 sata ports working,Thanks now I know that they share lanes with one of the Nvme drives.Great review.Either or.
Thank you. Great review. Covered all I needed. My MSI Tomahawk X570 board died and was still under warranty, so I need to pick a replacement board out the limited choices now available locally.
I am using this MB for over a year. Debug thing is not a thing I am interested in. Neither an RGB, because I need my PC to work, not blink so I have a non-transparent beQuiet case (it's just my preference and perspective). WRT cooling - I am using beQuiet fan and it just works, no issues. I am sorry for everyone having issues with their mounting kits though - this one could be an issue. In my MB I have one RTX GPU in 16x slot and a network card with two 1Gbit RJ45 ports in 4x slot. I have also some SSD and HDD connected - using all the available connectivity. And there comes one issue you haven't noticed: connecting SATA cables to MB is impossible without removing the GPU. And it's very hard to remove the GPU properly when there are already those SATA cables in place. Not a very huge issue because you are doing it once per years but a real PITA when you are doing your build. Nothing got broken, ports are working for me, no issues. I would recommend purchasing this MB if you are determined to have AM4 build however in 2023 this may not be the best idea. I purchased this one at the end of 2021 and I shared my reluctance to wait for AM5 because of cost, time and lack of seasoned components. Overall: for my professional (not gaming) purposes, this MB is fan-tastic (yeah, cooling is great, I have all the fan ports used to cool down the PC). X570S does not require an extra fan for the chipset and the amount of ports on the MB gave me enough options to achieve my goal. I am literally using every PCI lane available. I would give it 9/10 for professional usage because of the GPU/cable mounting issue. For RGB people it may not be that great, but I don't care (even when I run games, I don't need blinks; I have my monitor to generate light, not my fans/ram/whatever). For gaming it's also a great MB, but IMO a bit of an overkill - you don't need that much connectivity and options. I would look for something cheaper just because it would be a waste. And last but not least: if you are using dual GPU (e.g. for calculations), this MB supports them (even as PCI 8x - but it does). I am running single GPU though so can't really comment on that more.
I bought this on a cyber Monday sale and I ran into a problem with the Deepcool LT720 mounting bracket. The lower mounting bracket which is the larger of the 2, the left side interferes with the top m.2 heatsink, which is beefy. Easy fix, I'm going to Dremel a few millimeters off of this bracket. My 5950x is going in this, I have the DDR5 version for my 13600k build, and I will have to see if the Intel brackets for the Deepcool lt720 interfere as well, as I'm using the same cooler. If they do, I'll use my Noctua Chromax Black on the 13600k, and the LT720 will go on my 5800x. I have a Gigabyte pro v2 for the 5800x and hopefully there will be enough room there.... Anytime you need to start grinding or cutting things during a build, it feels great to solve a problem, but it also feels like shit to have to solve a problem...
Love those detailed motherboard reviews (even if I will never buy one since it's ridiculously expensive) And oh btw 12:15 you shouldn't put your mobo on an antistatic bag since they sometimes contains static (on the outside) which ain't great for anything electronic.

After a few months, my LAN card died, the LED is on, but the computer does not detect the network card, support tells me to send the board back, which means losing the computer while it is being repaired, it's a tragedy, they should have offered a replacement board. board is great in theory, but in practice it's not I recommend it due to the lack of support from the manufacturer in the event of a failure (sry to my eng)
actually top ssd heatsing under cpu is interfering with LT 720 WH AIO mounting mechanism too but slight grinding resolved it🤭and rgb issue i don't think it's affecting G.Skill well i don't saw any issues at least...AM5 it was expensive at launch but it's still sometimes a total piece of **** when comes to RAM compatibility but also it depends on MB but they still don't fully fixed it i am so glad for going LGA 1700
I just did some investigating my board after finally getting it and being able to install it. First off I noticed the ceramic chokes?, around the cpu socket... They did not contact the inclined and white flat heatsinks. Oddly enough, there was thermal pads there too. Also. I noticed the large heatsink above the gpu slot puts a lot of stress and a noticeable bend on any m.2 I installed there. I took the thermal pad off so I could install the heatsink for aesthetics. -.-
Issue 1 solution: pull the GPU out to see the debug code? Most of the time if you're looking at a motherboard post issue you don't need monitor connected. Set the bios to auto detect for the onboard igpu or PCIE.. that way you can still use monitor via onboard hdmi without having to select in bios
Issue 2 : buy a cooler that fits.. not a huge deal. Issue 3: not an issue for me personally. Thanks for the video.. appreciate it. I may grab this board
The RGB issues with module 3 ram is more than just corsair ram. Its an issue with all RGB ram and is a flaw in the board design... its a known issue that is hardware level... very dissapointing.
