So i've been trying to fine tune this. Try this run. Totally avoid the pond since they are only 84 xp each and the water is slowww. Go straight to the Lilys and Bellplants. So loot Rubble road, then the bell plans in overgrown field. Then loot the one potato you literally run over in fallen monument (84 xp same as pond weed). Loot all the stars in Starfish pond, then come back through Jellyfish landing looting all the starfish and kelp (kelp again is the same xp as pond weed). Then all shells in seashell seashore and finally 2 shells in east beach before banking. This takes around 3 mins 7 seconds as apose to the 3 min 50 of your route. and yeilds 2810 xp per run as apose to the 2774 of yours. So without knowledge xp this run works out at around 51k XP p/h where as yours is only 42k p/h. **EDIT** Just a little edit on my timings since ive ran this a few more times since! I was slightly out on the time. Its roughly 3m16s per run (3.25m) so divide 60 by that to make 18.4 runs per hour, so 18 x 2810 is 50,580. Starting and stopping the clock at the same point of storing the good. Im about to hit 29 too so the run might get even better with the Hogberries(29) in it. I'll keep you updated :) P.S Great vid btw really helped set up the core of what im doing now :)
This is awesome! I'm absolutely gonna give this a try. I'll probably flip between this and mine, as I really need the pond right now, haha! Thanks so much for tweaking this and posting your findings here, you rock!!!
once you unlock hogberries (29), you can get about 26% knowledge points per run. The rout go to the room go to rubble road get the water lillies, and then go to the end of overgrown road and work your way backwards for the water lillies there. then back to rubble road for the bell plants, then to overgrown field get the the first bell plant, then grab the bell plant in the back corner, then grab the potatoes before the last bell plant. then at the fallen monument go around the north side to picking the hog berries, and potatoes on the north, west and south side, go to jellyfish landing and grab the starfish, then seashells seashore and grab the 2 shells, then storage rift. this run took about 3 min 39 seconds. granted i miss clicked a couple times. im sure with perfect clicks you can probably get faster times. i didnt calculate xp/h, but the knowledge point gain being even 1% more is pretty decent. Edit: if you skip the back corner bell plant in overgrown field, and the hogberry on the hill on the monument and pick up a shell on east beach you can get a time of 3 min 30. netting about 53k xp/h and 26-27% knowledge point per hour if you are following the same block layout that you have in the video.
This is nice, but you'll get 100% KP an hour with the run I showed. It's about 25% every 12 minutes, if you're zooming and just chilling, it's about 25% every 15 mins, which is an easy 100% an hour, so a guaranteed level plus harvesting XP.
I spent so long watching the video and reading the comments here. Did my own testing and ended up settling on just running in circles on Rubble road + Overgrown road (48k/hr starting from level 16 foraging ). Only for all that work to be instantly invalidated as I hit lvl 35 (unlocks better potato) and now even an unoptimized potato route is more than 50% better xp/hr lol
I found that if you skip the second map with water lilys on and instead take all the star fish on starfish point and an extra shell, the run is about 20 seconds faster due to not jumping up and down where the lilys are which should net a little bit more xp i believe.
That's a great question. Sadly not yet, I have three characters and am trying to minmax certain efforts and skills on each to get data to create content for others. I'll absolutely make updated guides in the future for stuff like this
it doesn't work in real life, the intuition of gathering stuffs from other nodes however works in every skill, for gatherer I often cut a wood to align respawn to what I'm currently gathering. But knowledge income doesn't work like that, there are also tools and enchants, then things change with actual character level. 5% potions are not worth it imho, starting from 7% ones if you're sweatty and dump knowledge on the chapter are ok. It happens also with crafting, when doing lower level stuffs you are "wasting" knowledge points and generally overall xp.
Take or leave the XP potions, there's tools that enhance your XP gains that are a permanent increase, like the higher tier harpoon for fishing, etc. That aside, KP does work like that, as they are a flat gain, basically quarter of a level whatever level you are above 20.
@@Jooksplays I'm pretty sure the potions also improve the knowledge pop. The issue with knowledge and crafting, it is that low level stuffs give almost no knowledge, for instance yellow bones in bw are almost no knowledge, with lvl30 mats it's more than the double the knowledge per bone cleaning and more knowledge per craft so may more xp from knowledge if you do that.
I'm playing on three characters, so I totally get the skepticism. If you run the route once, you'll see it's a solid XP earner. Hope you find it useful
@@Jooksplays whats the point of 3 characters tho just grind one for now. i played 140 hrs total 750 and i don't see any reason to play 3 when this game lacks contents. There is 0 benefit of playing different class. I mean sure there is content but Chapter 5 is not out yet and no trading/bossing

Nice, I'll have to test this and make an updated video if it works out faster for more XP. Thanks for sharing!
Any updates to this when you unlock nettles?

and dude is level 26 but anyways good route
almost all the "guides" for this game are so fucking simple...there's no variance in the game so you don't really need a guide for anything.
@@kuumaliimam1esthen why you here? 😂

So that I can create class specific videos should the need/want and demand be there.
