    This was a good example of Head Coach, offensive coordinator, and Captains of the team all contributing in this loss 😮 I’m hoping all involved evolve and Bear Down!!!

    I agree with you Swifty about Tyrique. In his defense he won us the game in week 1 though. Doesn't excuse this game though. I'm more mad at Flus for not calling timeout and him not taking responsibility for not doing so. After seeing the offensive game plan after a bye week I'm cringing at what were going to see against our division... I hope I'm wrong.

    Not only did Tyrique not bix out his guy, he tipped the ball to the guy he was supposed to guard. Up to the staff to deal with it. Correct him and put him back to work. If he is the best on the team at his position put him back to work. If not, put in the better player and sit him down.

    I'm still upset by that game. So many narratives (Bears coaching competency, Caleb vs. Jayden etc.) were changed by that one play and it makes me sick. I would suspend him a game just to show that there actually is accountability for your actions, rather than just talk about accountability. I put the blame more on Flus and the coaches (and the player leaders) because as you said, Tyrique is still young and acts the way he does because he hasn't been held accountable in the past. It's not like this is something new for him - he's always talking too much trash for his (and the team's) own good. But also, he's still part of the family and we need to stick by him, and I definitely still got much love for him. He will come out of this a better man and better teammate. Keep your head up Tyrique.

    24 is not 14...that's not a kid out there...grunts in Afghanistan probably averaged 20 yrs of age. Flus's press conference on Wed was more interesting as to his demeanor over what he said. I saw a man who appears to know his seat is getting warm. My guess is Poles had a private sit down and told him to not let that happen again. This next game is huge as to what direction this team goes and if Flus survives.

    @Swifty You nailed almost every aspect of this, it was selfish player from Stevenson who has had stupid penalty after stupid penalty (not pass interferences but mouth chirpy unnecessary bs.) The Head Coach GAVE up a 15 yard play with a prevent defense every nfl fan doesn't even use in video games...... the same HC did not see Stevenson mouth off for almost 4 seconds.... and the thing FEW discuss the HC had Sweat on the bench instead of rushing the QB...... This I THINK will cost us the playoffs and his HC spot..... I think Fluess is a good man but EVERYTHING changes when you grab CW and Rome in the top 10..... mediocre is the enemy of great and make NO MISTAKE the Bears need a great coach now more then ever to fully get the most of his 10 to 15+ year career

    The whole situation with Tyrique reminds me, in a lot of ways, of one of the sub-plots in the movie "Bull Durham." The part where phenom pitcher Nuke keeps shaking off his mentor catcher's pitch calls. He's doing it because he's an egotistical kid who's full of himself, convinced he knows better than everyone else and not giving a crap about playing the game "the right way." So, his catcher, in an attempt to shock the pitcher into listening, tells the batter what pitch is coming, resulting in a towering home run. Nuke and catcher Crash have a huge screaming fight about it, Nuke ends up understanding the importance of putting his ego aside, and you have a nice montage of him placidly accepting the pitch calls -- and succeeding. I just have this image of something in Tyrique's head that maybe finally snapped into place, and now, when he's tempted to showboat and forget the game, he will instead nod placidly -- and do his damned job.

    My hope is, he'll get it now & understand the importance of staying in the game for the entire 60 minutes of play. He has an opportunity to make himself millions of dollars over the next few years of his life. He should not want to screw this chance up.

    Yeah, he’s infamous now. It’ll be interesting to see how this all plays out. Hopefully the team forgives him and he comes back a wiser young man, but he’s shown signs of immaturity, and all of this may be way too much to handle.

    Stevenson is a good player and he learned his lesson. He learned that Flus is going to trade his saved timeouts for a deal with a big guy whose name begins with a lower case 's' for his soul. Tyrique has seen how bad he handled that last play and I never want to see it again. He will learn and hopefully so will Flus a lot more because his job is on some fans chopping block for not calling a timeout before that last drive started let alone not before the final god damn play! I put it all on Flus and I won't type his whole name out again until they make the playoffs. That is the only way he and Waldron keep their jobs. They need to start a new win streak Sunday and carry it to the Thanksgiving day game.
    Bear Down!!

    My thought. You're right Tyrique has a ton of talent, but he's got some issues. If this changes him into the player he could be it could be a good thing. If not what a waste.

    Everyone! Take a deep breath! It's one game! Remember how we bounced back after the Colts game? I don't Ryan Poles is going to let Flus take it easy this week. I think you'll see a supercharged defense on Sunday and better play on offense. Better D? Bears. Better special teams? Bears. Better QB? Caleb.

    even if Tyrique just kept taunting the crowd and never got involved with the play at all, it would have been a better outcome

  • @williambarrett5292

    Tyrique did make a big mistake so let's hope it's no a playoff one. Flus made a bigger mistake in my opinion by going into prevent defense with 30 seconds on the clock & not calling time out to ensure players were focused. Critical game situations failed again like last year. Washington should be calling plays & Flus should be managing the game along with Makin sure refs are call violations like holding, offsides or other rules of the game. Poles might move on from Flus but I don't think so. GO BEARS AND BEAR DOWN 🐻 ❤❤❤

    • @jigsaw6246
      @jigsaw6246 2 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา +1

      The bigger concern is on the play before where the defense was leaving the sidelines open setting up the hail mary. The press asked Flus about it and he did not think it was a mistake, can't believe he said that. Flus is a smart defensive coordinator, but he is a terrible HC when it comes to game management.

  • @ethanmiller5430

    Bottom line, coach Flus did not have his team ready for that last play, or for the game. Too many mistakes points to a coaching problem. Too many 4th quarter leads blown. It's too bad. I like Flus but this could be the last straw for him. Maybe they can pull out another 5 or 6 wins and salvage the season but the schedule gets really ugly in a few weeks and this still doesn't look like a team that can beat NFC north rivals. I hope I'm wrong.

    Seems way too overblown. True Tyrique didn't help his situation, so he'll need to redeem himself with some solid play going forward. But hey, do all these critics think the Bears rebuild means zero losses or else? Good luck with that. Look at the issues Dallas and the Jets are going through with all their "star" players.
    The Bears will bounce back, so it's time to chill out and put the pitch forks and torches away.

    This team is too young and talented to poop the bed themselves in THOSE road games. Detroit still coaches and plays smart physical fundamental football irregardless home or away so they can too. It's all about execution will to win and playing Chicago Style Football. ⬇️

    Stevenson is by far the most penalized guy on the team!! He needs to control himself more !period!! The Hail Mary play never, ever, ever, should have happened. Terrel Smith is probably just as good anyway. Bench him 1 game; he needs to learn the hard way!!!!!!!!

  • @HillyRoads
    @HillyRoads ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

    Yes he screwed up but the ball was dropped by the coaching staff who should've been locked in on the players and seeing how gassed the lineman were nd Tyrique's back to the play, used a regrouptimeout.

    Last year I was commenting on all the pimping and preening and you said this is the modern NFL. Well, it cost us at a critical time and maybe a chance to make the playoffs this year.
    This isn't the first time, it's a common occurrence. Bench his ass.
    If Ditka, Bellichek, Johnson was the head coach, he would have been catching a commercial flight home.

    Tyrique. Is one of those guys that can only play well if fighting and talking all game. Hence you get a ton of person fouls and undisciplined play. This is not anything new for him.
