We are ALL looking for LOVE !!!!.... You are a handsome young man !!!! SMART and EDUCATED !!!!....... You have a GREAT FAMILY !!! .......It WILL HAPPEN !!!
Love HURTZZZZ (Hz) or 1 Hurt is the reciprocal of 1 second…. a second hertz hurts worse than any frequency or cycle of disappointment from expected permanence of a relationship …. Yet without Hertz (Hz) THERE IS NO FLOW OF LIFE LIGHT ITSELF! Isn’t true love a wave that ceases to exist if you grab it like a photon of LIGHT?? You Zatara folks are our Huble micro/marcro LOOK into the universe itself…. OK… I know it sounds like Brussel Sprouts or Bovine Shibboleth (B.S.) EXCEPT most cannot differentiate between Bull & Cow Paddies in a Magnetic Field of Genderless Bovines… Right? or is it Left?? Thanks Jack … You actually POETICALLY express Clearly the ANGST of a young adult Male looking for love “IN ALL THE RIGHT PLACES around the WORLD!
I disagree. It will not happen living on mom and dad's boat. Its time for Jack to spread his wings and leave the nest. No girl/woman is going to want to be in a serious relationship with a guy who lives with his parents on a boat.
dude. i could not bare my soul like this, in such a public way. Much respect. You're a real, good man. I think a lot of us know exactly how brutal the emotions are, for what that's worth. Chin up.
Jack, I'm 60. I just want to say I've seen a ton of people your age. I promise you that there are VERY FEW guys like you. Your depth, maturity, intelligence, and amazing sincerity make you a unique and wonderful person. Meeting different people, and enjoying the world definitely has relationship drawbacks, but you will meet, and click with the right person, at the right time and place. So proud to have watched you grow these past 7 years. God has many blessings ahead for you. ❤
6:48 It doesn't sound stupid, Jack. It sounds genuine and heartfelt. You understand your life being at sea, and the joy of meeting and connecting with new people will always be cut short. You can anticipate it, even when you'd rather deny it. You continue to put yourself out there and share your life with others all the same. Not everyone has the kind of strength you've shown by a willingness to be vulnerable.
It absolutely does not sound dumb or stupid, or any of the other things you mentioned Jack. The heart has feelings it deserves to have feelings. I’m sorry that it didn’t work out the way you thought it should. When the time is right, whenever that is, everything will just click. Just hang in there it will happen. Sending love from California.💜🤗🫶⛵️😎🇺🇸🐬
The fact that you’re showing us one of the most vulnerable part of you as human, that’s so beautiful. Not so many people is as brave as you to show that.
Hey Jack. I'm glad you uploaded this. It is very healthy mentally to be able to be vulnerable and authentic. I think the way you're feeling sounds 100% understandable and I hope you figure out the right path forward at the right time.
Jack when you least expect it she’ll take your heart, she will hold it gently, love you unconditionally and you will do the same. It will come and you tell a story better than you think. Watched you guys for years and I’m so proud how you’ve all grown up. Keep doing videos we need more Jack.
G'day Jack, I too grew up on a boat mate. I sailed with me parents until I was 19-years old. I lived on the boat for 11-years. I finally left the boat to begin my studies at University. I know exactly how you feel mate, especially in regards to relationships. It was literally impossible for me to find any promising relationship while I was sailing. As soon as I met a girl, it was time for a new passage....and I had to leave. It was absolutely nutters! I definitely empathise with you, Jack. I was also a major introvert as well, which obviously didn't help approaching girls. It wasn't until my Junior year at Uni that I met a girl in my Chemistry class. I'm currently working on my Graduate Studies....However, that girl I met in Organic Chemistry, is now my fiancée. I proposed to her in May! Our wedding is scheduled two weeks after I graduate in December! There's definitely a special person that's specifically waiting for you, Jack. You'll certainly find her and realise...It was absolutely worth the wait. Cheers brotha & Blessings from Margaret River, Western Australia 🇦🇺.
Jack- one of your best videos because it’s pure honesty. You can show us how life on a boat is, but telling us how it FEELS is so great. You are a great storyteller.
I really needed to see this video. It helped me a lot going through a lot of my relationship problems recently. I can tell you really liked that girl because I felt the same way about one. But now she’s gone. But I believe it will get better and everything happens for a reason.
that monologue was relatable. i dont live on a boat but i live in 6 months in america and 6 in italy. it’s like you’re constantly having to say goodbye to people you love, constantly missing people because your life is in so many places. when im in italy i miss home, when im home i miss italy. and so when an opportunity comes to see someone, for example a friend from america is coming to italy, im filled with hope. hope things work out, hope i get to see them, hope all my expectations are fulfilled, but you cant do much with hope. hope without action is nothing, useless. sometimes the actions cant happen, plans fall through. that’s where im at right now. the longing feel insufferable. i feel for u
Jack you are great at telling your story. Stop second guessing your thoughts. We need to hear more of your content. Your honesty and transparency is amazing. You have great fans that will not judge you. Learn from all disappointments in life it will provide you the gift of appreciating magical amazing moments in life to last a life time to remember. Also what doesn't kill you will make you stronger. You have an amazing great life ahead of you. Keep sharing your extraordinary life to the world because you are helping others by sharing all of your experiences and your feelings. Stay cool !!
It doesn't sound dumb Jack. You're trying to get a grip on your feelings, which sometimes we just can't. I felt the same thing when I lost my dad. There is that longing for him to come back and for things to change in a good way, but you know in the back of your mind it won't. And it is hard to find the right words to describe how you feel, because sometimes there are no words to describe it. I hope you're doing well and other wise that is also okay. You're not alone Jack, even if it feels like that sometimes.
*Jack this is the best video I’ve seen from all of yours, your family’s, and of Finn’s videos.* No fluff…it was authentic, honest, and you shared real feelings that people can connect with…so I felt that I got to understand and know you a bit better (your full personality has been a mystery to me). Some say that suffering is waking up each morning and desperately trying to be happy living a life you’re not content with or when vital needs are not being met - it can suck the life out of you especially when lonely. A social life is an incredibly important need in human life especially at your age. You’re an awesome young man and it may be time for you to make a change in your life - changes are scary but often bring rewards. Maybe consider picking one of those beautiful places that you connect with and temporarily stay there to see if you’ll become happy there. You don’t have to make it a permanent change…your family can always pick you up at certain time to move on. Trust the signs and listen to your gut and all will be well!
I feel you so much brother, that feeling of longing for some ideal plan or idea you have for your life, but you know it won't go your way. Will be praying for you and your family.
Jack! Wow! Know what, IT CAN CHANGE! You are the runner of your life. You have had an amazing 7 years traveling and growing on a yacht with your family, but by the tone in your voice, the emotion I feel and watching you the past year, you are ready for YOUR next step in life!!! Your folks are great and completely understand kids grow into adults and need their life too. Your sister scooted off to school and is enjoy a life in the US! A young man needs a life too and you are at a precious age to grow and experience that life. I left home at 18, did a career my dad was proud of until 23 and then was miserable at work and life and decided I needed something different, left my job, got broke, started a business and then developed an amazing life with awesome friends and created a great family with a wonderful woman I met in my late 20s.... BUT, I had to take the step to change my course. Sit with your mom and dad, they are awesome, and will completely get it. I just watched their week alone on the boat and they too are going through lots of soul searching for their "next step". Finn and Kate will be great if you move on...you're not leaving the planet, just pivoting and stepping in a new direction! IT IS TIME FOR YOU TO PIVOT sir Jack! You will be fine and really love the next part of your growth in your 20s. Well wishes my friend. 🙏🙏🙏 Keep vlogging regardless of where you go and the new board rocks!!
Hey Jack, as an old man (77) I can’t tell you how many times I’ve had those same feelings, it’s frustrating as hell but it’s unfortunately part of life. All I can say is better times are ahead. Cherish the good times & good moments, especially with your family. We all are here a limited amount of time, when you become my age you realize just how short it is. I had my first child at 62 when I was retired & he’s now 15. These have been the best 15 years of my life. You just never know what lies ahead or when the best laid plans disappear, so as I said, cherish the moments, live each day to the fullest. Love will strike when you least expect it, trust me!
either way, you and your videos are felt and acknowledged; real swell, theyre no expectations, whenever you post, there'll always be an audience full of admiration
Jack, you sound like your in the place where I was at in my early 20's. Don't get too caught up in the what if's. Head towards the place where you think you'll be at your best. And never give up. LIFE IS LONG.
Jack, you are so admirable and such a shining beam of pure potential! When we are young, it feels like things take forever to work out! But soon you will be looking back and realizing that things do work out exactly the way they are meant to. Take deep breaths, and rather than letting those thoughts tell you that you aren't that good at something, start to choose better thoughts. For instance, "i am a fantastic storyteller! I have a lot to offer. With my combined experience, I am becoming a verifiable BADASS!" Because i assure you, these are true things. Don't let self doubt confuse you buddy... you are enough. You are loved. And you are absolutely worthy of feeling loved in whatever way brings you the maximum joy! You are such an inspiration to so many, including your siblings. Be proud of yourself. YOU ARE THE MAN! wishing you and the fam smooth sailing from the whacky Golden State!
Jack I'm so glad you posted this. I bet you went back and forth on doing so. My advice is to follow your heart always. I was very happy to see you backpacking off the boat with peers. You should plan more of that when your heart desires.
Jack you have a great outlook on life and head on your shoulders, but don’t let these moments of despair taint your optimism. Remember it’s easy to not care and become cynical, but those are just life’s tests on your resilience! Godspeed and I am sending much love to ALL the Whitakers! 😁💙🫶🏼🤙🏼
Hi Jack thanks for sharing your love life with us if u think she is the right one go for it the real love is once in your life don't live for regrets it will hurt for the rest of your life
Hi Jack, you’re an amazing person and all things we experience (the good and the painful) give us a wisdom and knowledge. Stay close to your true self and focus on what you want to grow in life. You will and you are creating amazing future, because you are an amazing person.
You literally just put into words everything I've been feeling this summer. I know all too well the feeling of deep-rooted sorrow that comes from the situation of things not working out with someone. Thanks for sharing your thoughts and feelings, sometimes all it takes to feel just a little relief is knowing that someone else is feeling the exact same way. I'm only 21 myself and so I know I still have a lot to experience but I'm learning to trust and have faith that God's timing is exactly right. Still though-it's a different kind of hurt...
Jack, I really wish I could do more than "like." And you ARE a great story-teller, it's just that you tell it differently than Finn. PLEASE, don't compare you two!! I love your videos!!!! I appreciate what you share!!! THANKS!!!!
Time to set your own path and live life on your own terms! Sailing Zatara was your parents dream, and it was a good one, and its coming to an end. Now is time for your own dream. You have all that good stuff ahead of you, go for it!
Jack, you’re feelings aren’t dumb, nor is sharing them dumb! Sometimes vocalizing it like you did is a way to process big and confusing emotions… thanks for being vulnerable and sharing. That isn’t ever easy to do, especially for the whole world to see! Keep your head up!
You probably just explained what being a young man in his early twenties is like better then I've ever heard! Most of us remember, or are having, those exact feelings. My early twenties I was in the military and back then it had several drawbacks not unlike your present lifestyle. Stay strong. The universe has a plan. And there's something really special in the gears with your name on it.
I really appreciated this video. Your vulnerability also showed a personality I had not seen in the Zatara videos and it is absolutely beautiful. Things will work out as they are meant to but yeah it hurts too…
Jack you’re way better at story telling then you give yourself credit for. It’s refreshing to see real and raw emotions coming from a social media personality like yourself. Use that feeling for fuel for another thing your good at. Music!! I always imagine you and your brother writing music together. This emotion you’re feeling usually makes me write something with screaming guitars while I scream too. At any rate doooooder the saying is it will happen when you least expect it. I find those words speak the truth.
Jack you're an awesome person, I love how you are honest with yourself and am able to tell us, people you don't even know how life is going. I think I can say that with a lot of us following your families travels that we also feel like we have become part of your family through TH-cam. I am so happy you decided to post this rather than scrapping it. Don't scrap anything, if your uncertain then I would just save it in another file to look at another day. If you scrap something, then down the road you will wish you kept it to refresh your memory or to add to it and make something that can benefit you and us together as you show us your life and the life of your family during the growth of your lives on a boat traveling the world. If it wasn't for any of you posting on TH-cam, none of us would have any idea what life is like on a boat let alone travel around the world on it and to watch all of you grow. These vids have been amazing for all of us. I hope you're doing well and please please keep posting. Be positive and positivity will follow you for a very long time. Sometimes things don't go the way we want them to, but other opportunities will open for you if you know what I mean. Jack you're the best.
Hey Jack, thank you for sharing. It's very rare that I comment on channels but felt compelled to do so here. As others have said, your honesty, sincerity and maturity are to be commended. Much respect. You do not suck at social media, you are what social media should be about, not "look at me". I am 63 years old and can tell you that unfortunately you may feel the emotional pain of a failed relationship in the future, but I can also tell you that by far and away you will experience the joy of a loving, supportive and thriving relationship much more. Trust me, watching you and your family tells me you have so much to offer. The right person will come along at the right time in your life and as the Italian's say ( I am of Italian descent), you will be struck by the thunderbolt!
What a very brave video!! Even if the contrast between Finn's happiness at the beginning of the video and your heartbreak makes all more painful... Be proud of who you are, you look like a natural leader and a loving brother, you'll find true love soon enough!
Thank you for being so real and vulnerable. I know how much it hurts. Being in touch with it makes you a much stronger and loving person. Keep on keeping on.
It’s good to be vulnerable and open with your emotions. I can imagine it being hard to keep relationships but it’s good to be thankful for the relationships you have/had and all the memories you made with those people
jack, when i was younger i had a similar situation as you, but in an entirely different setting. our family showed horses nationally here in the USA for many years when i was a pre-teen to late-teen. show season would start in late april and would run through october. we juggled end and beginning of the school years as we were on the road. i always felt / knew that we developed relationships differently than 99% of my peers and other people. our true "friends" were on the road and at the shows because we grew up together and shared many things in common throughout the show season. little did i know that when i stopped showing and getting ready for college, those relationships pretty much ceased. i wasn't ready for that! sure, we stayed in touch some over the course of the next couple of years, but it was waaaaayyyyy different than it used to be. definitely not like old times together showing horses. as i became a young adult, i had to REALLY work on relearning how to develop lasting and meaningful relationships. it worked out, but it did take a lot of effort. will you find your forever someone at sea? who knows...maybe / maybe not. but the key takeaway from your childhood is: your mom and dad sacrificed heavily to make sure that you have had the type of lifestyle you have had. obviously, you seem grateful for this, and have grown into a fine young man. your next steps will undoubtedly take you in a different direction. maybe you will now get the opportunity to "see the world" from a entirely different perspective. maybe consider living some time as a land-based adventurer...yes? no? maybe? there is truly a pot of gold at the end of your life's rainbow. believe this! after horse-showing, i met the gal of my dreams in college, married, had children, and are now living our dream life as a retired couple in florida. no one has a crystal ball for you, so all the more reason to carpei deum! keep pressing on and living life. you WILL find your way! i am quite confident of that!
Jack said it perfectly.! One day you will meet someone that will want to share your boat life. If that is what you continue to do. You are still younger. You might not think so but from my perspective you still have plenty of time to find that special person.
I stumbled on your channel though I'm subscribed to Sailing Zatara. Seeing this side of you gives me a whole different look at what you do have to go through. Must be rough. Tugs at my heartstrings. Hopefully, there's an exit plan in your mind that will allow you to find and build on relationships. Your young, good looking and far more mature than your age. I have no doubt good things will come your way. It would be nice to see you find love in a committed relationship.
I really respect that you were able to talk about what happened so publicly and your struggles. it takes a lot to be able to do that and it teaches other people things. I totally related to you at the end of that just telling yourself how stupid you sound LMAO but you didn't sound stupid and even if you didn't phrase it the way you wanted to the more you talk about things like that the better you'll be at expressing it :) I hope you guys work out in the end and if not I hope you find someone you like even more
Hey Jack life is like a “buffet” you can take as much as you want or as little as you want and you can go back as often as you like until you find what you like the most. Take your time and enjoy the sampling before you decide on one thing .😊 p.s. I had to add to this comment my parents moved so often that I went 10 schools 3 different high schools and a lot of friends. I learned to make friends fast and enjoy the moment I had three serious girlfriends December 22, December 24 and December 26. I married the December 26th girl about 38 years ago. My best friends were and are my brothers and sister. They never left me they never let me down. God bless brother and remember if you love someone don’t be the guy who says “I wish I would’ve told him/her I loved them the last time I saw them!
When your trying to describe your feeling its hard ...Don't ever think you its stupid ..You are an extremely smart young man ...Your time will come keep your head up ...Love your channel ...i Love watching the other channel and your journey with your family
Thanks for sharing, Jack! I just binged your channel after I randomly stumbled upon the Zatara channel a couple of weeks back😅I really enjoyed a new, fresh point of view, and some really good laughs along the way! Hope to hear more from you! Best regards from Norway!
Jack, there comes a time when you have to make your own way. If you're happy on your parents course. great. At some time, the call of every child to make their own way becomes the dilemma. Part of adulthood is defining and making your own way in this crazy world. Stay/Go.... look inside and define that dilemma.
Most as in 99% of all people have a hard time articulating their life. Bro I assure you you are so advanced for your age. Right now it seems frustrating due to lack of control. Your time will come. Stay the course and enjoy seeing the world. And dude your time with your family is so precious. Be grateful sir. It can change in a split second.
Jack, respect for putting out this video. You are a very handsome guy and I am sure you can get almost any girl. You will see, soon the right one will come around. But also don't wait too long as you are in the best age possible. Stay positive my friend.
Jack, your feelings are very valid. I'd imagine it'd be hard to maintain relationships, wether they be friends or lovers. But you'll find your own balance in time. Trust the path and it'll shine bright. There'll be someone who fits just perfectly like puzzle pieces falling in place.
Never stupid... You are being real. And that takes a Real Man to say that. Dont ever cut ya self short . Ya keep doing you bud, i have kids same age and would be so proud of my son to say his truth just like you. All ya Whitakers kiddos i have my kids watch. simply because ya got great charter and content. its real raw, may hurt. but I appreciate the life lesson my young son can see when watching yall tell your Truth. He is not alone. So no not stupid. Really cool thank you . hey happy safe travels yall just roll with the seasons of life. they come and go and hold a special great memories more season's to come.;)
It’s never dumb speaking “your own” feelings. It’s awesome to see people speak how they feel, human feelings are real and valid. Always be you. All that you go through is valid and worthy to speak about.
Raw and honest and real Jack. And you don’t suck a social media…your editing is really good. You are different to your goofy (but still cool) brother 😊 The Med Crew feels like a turning point to me. Not a bad thing, but a turning point none the less.
Jack, since you and Finn seem pretty versed in older songs (presumably from your parents' influence), there's a quote from a post-Beatles solo song of John Lennon, one of his last... "Life is what happens to you, while you're busy making other plans"... it's true, but you can choose to go with the flow... remember, friends, acquaintances, even family, can come and go, oft times on a whim. Enjoy them while you have them in your life, cherish the memories. If they stay in your life that's great, if not, remember them, the good and the bad that they gave you, but don't let it mire you down. Yes, it's true, you and Finn are going through the same thoughts and feelings, but you both are experiencing a life few have had the chance to enjoy. With a crazy world out there, I sure wish I could join you guys and just have idyllic days at sea, and visit all the historic ports and meet more interesting people than those I am exposed to where I live... don't be so ready to give up the life you and Finn have now, enjoy it!
The spirited, fun-loving, goofy Jack always puts a smile on my face. But moments like this when you’re vulnerable and open with your emotions truly show what an amazing person you are. FAR from sounding stupid, opening up like this touches ppl going through similar hardships & pain and let’s em know they’re not alone
Jack, thanks so much for sharing from the heart. I appreciated your openness, honest and vulnerability. I never comment but your video was authentic and inspiring. Keep being real and true to yourself. Blessings,
Good job Jack, I appreciate your honesty. I lived on a tiny Caribbean island in my twenties and I experienced something of what you’re describing. Deep connections with people basically moving on. Sometimes it made me sad.
Jack... First, let me just say that as much as all of the viewers are enjoying living vicariously through the Z family adventures.... (Coming from someone that literally binge watched every episode in just a few days just 3 weeks ago…) one of the best moments was when your Mother said, (paraphrasing) Love interests? Nope... that's private and shared nothing. Social media is not a place for private matters, and you are completely right to not have shared much of anything along this emotional journey. Your private life and family are for your inner circle and those that love and care about you. Second, no matter your belief system... I hope you take a moment to reflect on how strong you are even in your weakest moments. If things are meant to be.... they will come to those that work for it. Relationships big and small are effort, require investment, and genuine commitment or they will fade away... friends’ family or love or even good quintessences. So just know that if you want something bad enough it may not always come to you in the form you expect.... but it will come if you fight for it and for those you love. Lastly there is an appropriate quote I will just leave here for you: “Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some people stay for a while and move our souls to dance. They awaken us to a new understanding, leave footprints on our hearts, and we are never, ever the same.” ― Flavia Weedn So in summary.... whether they are here for a minute or a lifetime... enjoy what is... and miss what was... but let go what is not.... and look forward to what’s to come! My useless cents.
What I love about you and your family is how real you are. That’s how you gain and keep your followers. And how you will find someone. You made me think about myself at your age, I never had a serious relationship, not even as much as you have, but a few years later I met someone that I have spent the last 27 years with and raised 2 great kids. Don’t force it, and as much as you can don’t worry about it. When the time is right it’ll happen. You usually find it when you aren’t looking. Be yourself, keep doing what you’re passionate about and let God take care of the rest.
All so normal…especially these days…on or off a boat. I am terribly sorry you are going through this pain. Hurting is so painful, but really makes you a more compassionate and better person over your lifetime. You are clearly a wonderful person; we have all seen it in so many ways. And nothing sucks about not sharing parts of your life with all of us. 💓🙏🏼
Wow, as for the filming, music, & editing Well done. As for the deep moving message, my heart goes out to you for the ability to present such a mesage. I assure you from experience, the RIGHT person is out there and your paths will intersect, and you will both know it together. ⛵⛵⛵⛵⛵
Pirate Jack-- thanks for posting this. Life is full of twists and turns, whether youre on a boat or not. Much of life is about trade offs. . . the life experiences youve had with your family traveling the world for 7 years is something many people would love to have-- but one of the tradeoffs is that constantly traveling makes relationships difficult- friendships as well as romantic interests. Youve got a great heart, and you will find someone-- probably when you are least expecting it. Dont worry about the story telling-- I always enjoyed your videos. You just have a different style from Finn's. Youve got a lot to offer. . .so dont let that get in the way of you posting more! Hang in there!
Loved this vid Jack! Been following Zatara month or so b4 the med crew showed up. And been with Finn and the main acct & insta since. This was such an honest & awesome vid - it really was. Just great to see u show ur personality & what a str8 up guy u seem to be. Finn & Kate r lucky to have a big brother like u! Sail on & enjoy!
Jack Loved the video and the honesty. Let me repeat to you some advice my grandmother’s cousin gave me some years back. She was 96 at the time. I had been hit by a drunk driver. Could not walk. Lost the use of my right lung. Was in a wheelchair and told it was possible I would never walk again. I was feeling very down and dispirited. She walked down the isle in the grocery store we were both in and said hi. Then asked what was wrong. I said look at me what do you think. She tilted her head sideways and said listen up. This will pass and although it feels like a major part of your life right now; when you get to be my age it is just a tiny bump in the road. You may even forget it. She was right it was my whole life at the time. Now it is in my past and something I have learned to learn and progress from. Today I walk break horses on my ranch. Still have breathing problems but it does not stop me because with YeHoVah’s help I don’t let it. Just live and life will take care of itself. Truly it will.
Well, seeing this post I think you are a great storyteller and it all made sense too, you were real and you spoke from your heart, this was lovely to watch and it showed your good soul!
Jack you're incredibly brave for so openly putting yourself and your emotions out there, that's something to be proud of. I'm sure many people can relate to what you're feeling even though the circumstances might be different. And you do not suck at social media at all, this is exactly what social media is for, sharing. Keep doing what you're doing we all appreciate it!
I wish more sailors were this brave to show…or even just talk about, the emotional toll the cruising lifestyle has on all of us! Thank you Jack for being vulnerable. Randall was 29 when he finally met me (I was 19). It was a lot of painful years for him, waiting. What got him through was having a passion for life, living to the fullest, going on epic adventures and genuinely cultivating lifelong relationships with the amazing people he met along the way. I hope that you find what you are looking for as soon as possible, just remember that you are where you are meant to be and that God has a plan for you! You shared something deeply personal and the response from your family, friends, supporters, have all been positive! You have a lot of great people cheering you on! You’ve got this!
at 49 yrs old - i have nothing but envy for the life these 3 kids get to lead - that is totally awesome... what amazing journey's and thanks for sharing those with us so that we can live vicariously through your lens!!
Following you all since you were just a brat (a very nice and kind one), it hits me. Man, think about it! You’re already 20! It might be something inside you telling you about next steps. Not easy. Pray, think, talk. Maybe you want to be a sailor as your dad. Maybe you want the buzz of city life, a job, independence, friends and family. You’re in a crucial moment of your life and I pray for you to make the best decisions. Btw, every word you uttered is you. Bravo, mate, bravo!
Thanks for sharing and being vulnerable in front of the camera. A lot more people go through similar situations/feelings, even when living on land. I know I have. Keep your chin up King and remember you are the prize. Girls will always come and go. love the music choice. keep it up
Not dumb at all. Now you know two choices: -Find a sailing mate. =Become a land mate. More than just those two choices, too. Damn, brother-man, I admire your guts. Good on you.
Jack jack jack ( captain Jack !) thank you for making a video bro, been a min. I always enjoy your stuff , stay cool . Life is a journey and people come and go in our lives. When and if you ever decide to settle down you can . Until then live life and enjoy the ride. Thank you for being Vulnerable and sharing your feelings.
Not to worry Brada. You're an Amazing youngman and keep smiling and the right relationship will come along for you. I'm impress with you how you open up your heart to the world but it's thru it that you will touch other people's lives that might be struggling with the same/similar challenges in life. Just know you are not alone and the sun will rise again. Keep on keeping up.
Best wishes to you Jack. Yes, it’s tough on land, in the city, the country, at any age. Just keep believing, praying and when it works out, you’ll know! I enjoy and admire the opportunity you have. Just make the most of it and you’ll see.
It’s ok to share, it’s also ok to not share. Life comes at your fast, and have to put yourself out there to see what happens, Cheers, and thank you for putting it out there. That’s not easy
Props to you Jack. You are being raw, open, yes a bit emotional but it was a very emotional time and shouldn't be hidden. Man, you were being straight up truthful about your life, something that most people refuse to be, truthful even with themselves. You've got my support man. You're a strong man, one who doesn't run from learning, one who runs to danger to protect those dear to him. You are a man Jack. The words, they will come.
Jack, it will happen. Stay the course.
We are ALL looking for LOVE !!!!.... You are a handsome young man !!!! SMART and EDUCATED !!!!....... You have a GREAT FAMILY !!! .......It WILL HAPPEN !!!
❤❤❤
Hubble
Chin up.
Jack, it is better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all. It will click for you when it is right and real.
Great advice
That is what you should hang your banner on. Thank you
@patricksmith3135
So well said...words of wisdom that come with age
Amen. 62 here and couldn't have said it any better . Your a great person ❤
Seconded
Yes !!! I’m 56 and wholeheartedly agree with this comment !!!
I’m 50 and I agree with all of you! So well said!❤
6:48 It doesn't sound stupid, Jack.
Well said! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
You don’t suck at social media Jack. The way you told the story was perfect, it was raw and honest. Its okay to feel like that, it is not dumb at all.
@Contact_JackWhitakerLogs utter creep
Trust the signs and listen to your gut and all will be well!
my thoughts exactly, so pure and true!
So much respect to you Jack. You’re a brave soul to pour your heart out online. One day you will find love and it’ll stick.
Your honesty is appreciated. A story and antics can be anything but, pure honesty in the moment is precious.
@Contact_JackWhitakerLogs. Now you're just being disgraceful.
@-Contact_JackWhitakerLogs. Why creep?
You're sooo young! It's difficult..but chin up. No expectations.. no disappointment! Carry on.. plenty more 🐟 in the 🌊
either way, you and your videos are felt and acknowledged; real swell, theyre no expectations, whenever you post, there'll always be an audience full of admiration
With my combined experience, I am becoming a verifiable BADASS!"
Because i assure you, these are true things.
Thank you for opening up and sharing those feelings, Jack. I look forward to more posts from you.
THANKS!!!!
I love the realness from you, in this video there is this poetic feeling and thank you for sharing.
I loved how you told this story in such a raw and honest way. Thank you for sharing, you‘re doing great at social media right here!
Jack great video .Keep them coming .
Things will work out as they are meant to but yeah it hurts too…
Good to see you throwing a post out buddy. You got a good heart kid, life is crazy, enjoy the ride and don’t kill yourself trying to figure it out.
@Contact_JackWhitakerLogs. Utmost creep
Love your honesty about your emotions. You are loved by us all brother. Prayers are going out to you.
Thank you, Jack. what a poignant, honest, and beautifully vulnerable account of the emotional realities of living on a boat traveling the world.
We all listened jack! Thanks for sharing, life a lot of the time is hard dude. But there's a lot of great stuff will happen to. Keep safe!
This was raw and truthful you bared it all and that’s quite inspiring. This too shall pass and the sun will raise on a better tomorrow.
Jack,
It will hurt when things go sour, but it’ll be okay. Just keep doing what you do! You’re an amazing person!
Jack, your feelings are very valid. I'd imagine it'd be hard to maintain relationships, wether they be friends or lovers. But you'll find your own balance in time. Trust the path and it'll shine bright. There'll be someone who fits just perfectly like puzzle pieces falling in place.
I’m so sorry Jack 😢 I wish things worked out for you and hope they still do. You’re such an amazing guy and deserve nothing but the best ❤
You are different to your goofy (but still cool) brother 😊
The Med Crew feels like a turning point to me.
Beautiful vid- excellent visual compositions, fantastic music choices, well edited, heartfelt honesty. Thanks Jack.
Jack, thanks so much for sharing from the heart. I appreciated your openness, honest and vulnerability. I never comment but your video was authentic and inspiring. Keep being real and true to yourself. Blessings,
Your Channel feels so real and true. Respect that you can show sth like this on the internet
Lastly there is an appropriate quote I will just leave here for you:
“Some people come into our lives and quickly go. Some people stay for a while and move our souls to dance. They awaken us to a new understanding, leave footprints on our hearts, and we are never, ever the same.” ― Flavia Weedn
So in summary.... whether they are here for a minute or a lifetime... enjoy what is... and miss what was... but let go what is not.... and look forward to what’s to come!
Awwwww Jack thank you for sharing and showing that vulnerable, sensitive side. You are gorgeous inside and ofc outside :)
It's amazing how you are able to share and articulate this topic! Very much appreciated
damn I was vibing and Nakel popped up. thats wild! Keep skating. Jack you are an old soul and I mean that in the best way. Always keep it pushing.
You’ve got this!
at 49 yrs old - i have nothing but envy for the life these 3 kids get to lead - that is totally awesome... what amazing journey's and thanks for sharing those with us so that we can live vicariously through your lens!!
thank you for sharing this ! It was very genuine and heart felt and absolutely not “stupid”. People want the REAL you!
Greatest authentic video on You Tube ever! This makes you a great You Tuber by just being yourself.
@Contact_JackWhitakerLogs. Shameful
@Contact_JackWhitakerLogs. Can you imagine? 40-years+ as a counselor... You're one of a kind!
Jack, Keep your head up! You will find the perfect adventure partner in due time. This kind of video is hard to make, much respect to you sir!
Jack…. It’s time. Time to start living your life. Your dream. Let your parents continue to live their dream.

Heartfelt and actually well-expressed. Have patience. You undoubtedly have wonderful experiences ahead.
keep making video jack, we love to hear your thought when it comes sailing. or just life in general.
Such a warm and authentic delivery. What you seek comes when you least expect it. Stay genuine.
