What can I say that Norhavn hasn't already done? I have studied boats all my life and no one has done it but you Jim. Keep them coming!

Love these. Keep em coming if you can! The nuts & bolts, behind the scenes stuff is always fascinating.

Sweet new facility! I love the look of your yachts. Would love a tour of the older facility. Nothing like the smell of cut wood in a factory setting.

Fascinating to see these being built and the craftsmen behind them. Thanks for the video tour.

What a beautiful video. In every respect Nordhavn has set the standard for ocean voyaging yachts beginning with the original 46'. We loved our 57' and sure with we could get a new 41' now as our sunset boat. Sadly at 75 years old I don't want to order one that might take 2 years to obtain.

Jim, there's a couple of 2021 N41's listed on the Nordhavn site in the pre-owned section. They have to be about as close to new as you can get!

I bought a metal working hobby lathe manufactured in Taiwan. Lots of the manual lathes that are still made today come from China and Taiwan. The ones made in Taiwan have a reputation for being made to higher standards than the ones made on the mainland. It is pretty cool that Nordhavn yachts are made in Taiwan. I’m especially impressed that all the woodwork is done here. The plentiful woodwork on Nordhavn yachts is spectacular. These craftsmen produce some of the finest work I have seen and they do it day in and day out, one yacht after the other. Most impressive and becoming less common as modern yachts tend to have less of it.

I took delivery of my Tayana 48 at the Ta-Yang yard there and sailed it back across the Pacific after stops in HK and Japan. It was quite the experience riding in my boat's cockpit as she was trucked through the city of Kaohsiung to the harbor. The guys had to lift the telephone and power lines above the boat as we passed. And I wouldn't call the harbor "beautiful," though.
They do great work there but the Taiwanese are not sailors/boaters, so it takes a lot of hands-on project management to ensure the boats are built right for sea.

If I die and wake up here, I will know I'm in Heaven! Missed my calling! I went the Aviation route in life, now wishing I had a career in the Nautical Field! Especially my DREAM, N63! I can dream!
Retired now, would be great to get a volunteer position on a short Nordhavn delivery or shake down cruise! I can do it all! Ha! Wax On! Wax Off! Commercial Pilot, Airframe& Powerplant, Inspection Authorization, Avionics Tech, Electrician, Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Navigator, You name it! And a GREAT Chef too! Cajun Trained! Blackened Tuna, Swordfish, Crab, Crawfish, Shrimp! I can make Bubba Gump look like a McDonalds Burger Flipper! Ha! Hit me up if you have a spare bunk, the engine room bunk looks nice and cozy!

@Jim.....Can you give us a breakdown on where all the different sizes are being built nowdays? I know many of the larger ones were always built in China but noticed you had the 80 sitting there in the new Tiawan yard. Since the 80 is being built there can we as possbile consumers assume that the 76 will also be built there now as well?
The 68, 76 and the 80 are my favorite sizes. Will be hard to pick one of them if I ever get my day.

Hey Jim, Thanks so very much for doing this video. It seems that NordHavn continues to grow and grow and the range also grows alongside. Your foresight in engaging with this company in Taiwan was a master stroke, high quality, innovation and dedication to perfection. Well done! I was wondering, are you still building the N86 in Taiwan. This is my ideal boat and I will own one one day, be it a new build or a used one. I have my sights set.. Congratulations on you business and the fantastic boats you build.
    Kind Regards Royce Spencer

I have the same concerns...so many beautiful boats...Nordhavns and Horizons...I'd be concerned putting in an order only to have the worst case scenario occur...the Taiwanese make some amazing craft.
