Hi from Taunton, Somerset, UK. I’m currently converting a Sprinter Van and had a local electrician come and check my setup. He suggested I watch your videos enjoying what I’ve seen so far. I believe you might know him 🙂

Hi mate! Thanks for checking out the videos. A sprinter build sounds exciting, yeah I have a feeling I might know who you are referring to 😊 send through some pics to my instagram, I would like to see what you come up with 👍🏼

100% mate - I kept the back seat arrangement. just check with your installer that it can stay registered as a 5 seater. Some issues in some States that say the reduced headroom, after the conversion, means the seats have to go. Also looking forward to the jerrycan mods - trying to come up with something myself. Look forward to the next vid.

Thanks for the feedback Michael and taking the time let me know your thoughts 😊 I think that you will find the rest of the build very interesting from what you have mentioned about the conversion so definitely stay tuned. If you have any thoughts or opinions on how and why I’m building different aspects of the car please comment. I love hearing everyone’s thoughts, there is a lot of people that have done this before me. So every comment is an opportunity for me to learn 👍🏼 cheers mate

Gday I'm going down the same road at the minute at about the same stage as you rear fit-out is a big one bit like Tetris put all the big items in the empty cave and move em around till you think you've got it right then second guess it and go again.I've gone with the Alucab Hercules and am happy second bed is a must for when it's super windy and a bit of stealth camping when needed keep up the good work you are a natural youtuber look forward to seeing more thanks for taken the time to film.peace

Awesome mate, haha yeah there is a lot of standing, staring and thinking involved. Yeah I think versatility is key mate 👍🏼 thanks for the kind words mate, really appreciate the feedback. It definitely is an effort to get the videos done, so cheers for the positivity to keep me keen 👍🏼

Nice work man was it a straight forward bolt in that sun visor

Cheers brother, little tricky as the standard brackets don’t allow for the chrome trim. You just have to
Elongate the holes a bit and it bolts up ok. 👍🏼

Curious to see how you set this up and have it flexible from a 2 to 5 seater car. I’ve got my Troopy and scratching my head how to set it up! Epic video mate

@@hookin one thing I regret with mine is making it too high to fit the fridge slide in, which has pretty much made the top platform useless.

@@Blinkblink742 I’d say mine will be a fixed fridge position mate, it will come
With its challenges as well but I think that nothing is perfect in these scenarios, there has to be compromises made whichever way you look at it. 👍🏼

Forgot to mention, way to go to us the ipad for the hema map app, you can also use the other apps as well inconjunction with each other as they all have their pros and cons. I use google earth, hema, google maps, Gaia maps, memory maps and explorer Oz maps. That is the versatility of the ipad, make sure you get the cellular version as it has an inbuilt gps so you can use offline as well.

Changing the mirrors not necessary as I tow a 8’6” beam boat and see everything. the clear views etc are an ugly fit. You have already done so no going back. Have the same wheels, got them when they first come and I hate them, reason, hard to clean as you say and they collect mud and crap like a magnet and the wheel nuts are a pain in the arse! Very limiting as the wheel nut holes are small and hard so you have to be inventive and careful when it come to the wheel nut socket and wheel brace. I did bring this up with ROH and asked when when a newer version of wheel will come out and one that does not have that fake bead lock look, one that is clean that allows mud and crap to clear without impedance, some thing like the origin ROH 5 spoke dish design, I’m in the process of have mine painted black and put back on the rig. I done the full sound deadening and make a significant difference. You could put a rack on you main rea door as well via the factory wheel mounts for some added storage for recovery gear etc. The visor is the way to got I have put one on all my troopys as it shades the windscreen down bush trach which allows you to see low lying tree branches especially when the windscreen has dust on it and your driving in the direction of the sun. The rear vents in the back you can convert to in lets and outlets for per,air and water as an option but either way tape them up to prevent ingress of dust. The rubber flaps in side the curl after a period and don’t seal properly. Once sealed positive pressure from fan or aircon fill the cab to prevent dust from coming in, ensure your switch for recirc or fresh is in the fresh position to allow air to come in for that positive pressure. Check you have an in cab air filter as Toyota is rebound for forgetting to put them in. (Behind the glove box) can get from Terran tamer. Would also suggest you put the mushroom head back on your snorkel when in dusty areas or the Donaldson pre filter head for the snorkel, make a huge difference. I use all three and to be honest does not make a difference in performance. I also have tried the sock, it is a pain in the arse also as in is oily, bclogs up very fast and needs regular cleaning and is much easy to swap the snorkel head it is just one clamp to undo. Like watching the progress of your build, making it your own is what it is all about. Cheers 👍
