Great Video!!!! I had so much trouble finding this information. You walked through it. I come from the Ford world. Forscan is easier to use. Thanks again
Did you put fuse 9 and 18 back in? I have a S5 2017 and adaptive light issue has come on and there saying on some forms i need new modules. Have you done a delete to the adaptive lighting then? Thanks
Yes put the fuses back in, I am not sure about the module but it did delete the “adaptive” part of the headlight features. You can even change them to the halogen style that was also an option and a lot less fussy than the Xeon ones.
I was hoping to do this to my 2014 S5 but the fuse panels are different and the manual uses different identifications than I'm seeing here. Does anyone know what fuses I need to pull on these different fuse box types?
Nice video and straith to the point, can you post a link to get the download steps? Yeah i can watch it while troubleshooting an Audi Q7 2007 model but having the instructions handle goes a long way. Thanks for the video.😊😊😊😊
I found a copy of what this author is demonstrating. Google "AudiWorld Adaptive Lighting (APS) Disable/Fix" and scroll to Post#1. NOTE that this tutorial is for disabling (not correcting) the Adaptive Headlight features of 2006 A6. My 2012 A7 has this adaptive headlight problem, but none of the fuses match up to these instructions, so I doubt the VCDS coding lines up either.
Will this coding work for an A8L as well? I've got a 2007 A8l with that same damn light that just came on and just ordered my scan tool from Ross tech.
How to fix i have audi a6 2.7 2005 my light go down after i start the car than 4-5 seconds go so Much up and i cant see so Good because they are so much up and it say adaptive problems how to fix that
@@GSEShop i mean the xenon will still adjust automatically ? No ? If the car is bended forward they will not go up ? Afs as i know is for left and right.
@@GSEShop i mean when you start the car. I had before an audi a8 d3 with no cornering lights. They move up and down to adjust when starting car. Another a8 d3 have afs feature with error. If i decode afs feature they will still move up and down to adjust when starting car right ?
@@GSEShop the car would have been on the road regardless of the light on the dash. I know cause I have that light appearing from time to time ( that's how I found your video :) ). Although I understand your point about the light being annoying, the fact that you said FIXED FOREVER in the title, while you completely removed the feature altogether, is indeed misleading :) Anyway - thanks for the... solution, it could work for a lot of people.
@@mariusgodeanu5069 I fixed the light on the dash and the annoying alarm forever. Sometimes when you have a 10+ year old car you cannot just keep throwing parts at it and there are no new ones at a decent price. I tried several eBay specials before coming to this. It was my forever fix.
I am sorry, I just rewatched it and the VAG is very visible and I talk my way through it. I am not sure what else I could have done and I only have one audi to fix, but if I get another one with this problem I will try it again.

I think VCDS is pretty cool, but this was the only logical fix for this car that didn’t cost more than I paid for it. Thanks for the comment
@@GSEShop your exactly right. My customer didn’t want to spend thousands on new head lights.

What kind of world do we live in that fixing a headlight issue takes this much effort. Hey made for a good video anyway.
And it is a 2005

I dont' think I'd call this a fix. You are removing the feature entirely, not fixing it.
Depends on your point of view.
Exactly!
It's like ... the TV stopped working.
Let me FIX IT by throwing it away :))))
