- Max Hunt is currently travelling the planet seeking out the best hunting and shooting it has to offer. We join him in the village of Havøysund to experience Norway's finest big game fishing.
Thanks to Norway Guide Fishing, Max has three intense days in the Norwegian Sea catching large cod, wolf fish and halibut, but will he get his ultimate prize and land that fish of a lifetime?

I have to say well done to the guy who lost that whopper of a Halibut ( presumably ) at the end of the vid. He took that very well indeed. If that was me I would have literally tried to drown myself!
Good video. Nice to see that you don't get angry when you lose. If we won all the time we would get bored
Fishing in Norway for me would be a dream come true.
I live in Norway
Man, the worst thing to a fisherman is loosing a fish you haven't seen.
Or when you get a 5kg cod pull it Al the way up and it just falls off just as you can see it
here in scandinavia u get a lot of cod and its really good eatinh
That looked like a hell of a trip mate and great video ... Thanks
Great to see so many great fish, but I'm only interested in shore fishing with bait. I like to cast the bait out, prop the rod up and wait for the bite. To me seeing the bite is the most exciting part of fishing.. Bouncing a lure from the deck of a boat has no appeal at all - regardless or the size of fish. Great video and great to return the fish. That's conservation. Seasick? I've seen my local duck pond rougher than that :-)))))
I would love to catch just one of those Cod for a nice fish tea, never mind the big bags you guys had !
Cod is very normal to catch in Norway 👌 😎 Even urban areas you can land 20+ lbs ones ✌
What rod size and weight should I go for? I live in Bergen will be fishing from the shore 😊
Your so lucky having that kind of fish on your door step.
Its really not that common only a few places
Luck has nothing to do with it. Stringent conservation measures retains a healthy stock of fish. Unlike the idiots elsewhere in the world.
Great Video Guys, & Not a Bad Looking Mermaid Either lol
Should have come up here in the Skrei season and prepared mølja(fresh boiled cod with its roe and liver)
@12.40 I know how he feels, lost my biggest halibut on the surface...
At least you saw it
wow where is this place
Fantastic video what type of rods did you use thank you
fishing deal good to all in Norway Royal family hands...and guide...
Awesome fishing and great fish indeed. By the way, at 9:22 of the clip , is that snow on the roof of the building or gull turds ( poop ) ??
Omg you dont know how lucky you are! Halibut is a hard fish to catch and the first norweigan fish you catch is a Halibut! lol
Oh no! 😢 That was a beast.
The sun is up all night hahahaha
Would have to make a UK bloke cry to see that lady who had to be shown how to hold the rod catch a cod bigger than anything they will see in a lifetime.
I do understand killing fish for food, but scarring them for pleasure, I don't get it !
i am from Norway and this fish names torsk
in finnish it's turska:D
And the best part of the cod fish is the tongue - torsk tunge.
Edvard Djursvoll hei
