And I too had a brush with Stray Paws - could not take the awfulness there, even knowing animals so often don't have happy endings, as in the Dodo, and that people are indeed that vicious and uncaring. So, Rebel Vamp, do you think there's something nasty about them? I looked them up - there's a shelter by that name in America. So sad, the pictures.

Dogs don’t abandon us but we abandon them, they love us and keep us company but we abuse them and show them no love. We should appreciate them for who they are. There is a reason we bought them, if we only got them because they are cute, we shouldn’t even have them. Please show them love and please take care of them!

It is common in Bulgaria! I hate my country with a passion. They still poison strays and still run them over on purpose, beat, abandon, mistreat, chain in forests. It is true hell there. And for someone like me who adores animals it truly breaks my heart. Im so grateful for people like him who have dedicated their life to helping our animals. We really do need more Angels like him!!!
I'm a dog lover and cat lover ...I think they make us more kind more compassionate more forgiving because they are! ... if someone does this to a poor defenseless animal that was created to help us be all the things were supposed to be which is Humane and decent... this person that did this should be on a chain with no food no water as long as the dog was he or she will not forget it probably not going to change them because they're a soulless vile cruel and wicked... there might be some kind of an Awakening! for them.

Oh my gosh! 😢 This made me cry, both for the fact of these dogs being left in abandoned buildings, especially the ones chained up, but also to cry with happiness that they are being saved by this angel in disguise. The dichotomy between overwhelming sadness and inspiring hope in stories like these (so often found on The Dodo) remind me of my responsibility to be a steward of kindness and compassion as I navigate this world and my own life.

You can always find kindness in a dogs eyes I only hope more and more people can be beckons of wholesome generosity and hope like that too, honestly I feel that it's kinda fitting & cool that it's more of a rarity of a trait to find in humans because there's so much more we can do with our kindness than any other creature, so when we do see value in being compassionate its impactful, and the world looks like it gets a little bit better each day at a time rather that from an all time bad from people trying too hard facing the reality that we can't save them all. ThaT's just something one can think about.

You'd be surprised, sadly, how bad some of the European countries are when it comes to animal welfare of dogs and cats. Spain, Greece, the Ukraine, Bulgaria....Spain & Greece I think piss me off the most because they are a much more developed country than the other two but some of the worst abuse & neglect.... It's incredibly sad....

For example I've been in Greece for 2 months in Athens which is the largest city!
Walking outside in the night and there was a horrible smell because people leave right outside of their houses the trash!...
Piles of trash everywhere the streets of the city smelled like crap!
I thought Greece is better than this because of their plenty and huge rich historic past...
But nope it is between the countries that are on the absolute bottom..
It's actually very few countries that are good to dogs.
These type of good people's need to be alive till the world ends....

Why someone would get a dog and then chain it up in an abandoned building is something beyond my understanding.
I'd be trying to find the person responsible for this so they can be brought to justice and make the public aware of what they did! These cold-hearted jerks need to be penalized for doing this to helpless animals! I'm so glad a caring soul freed them from such a horrific life! God bless him!
