Everyone is talking about Julien Baker (who's cover was indeed outstanding) but personally I much preferred Hayley's cover. Even though Hayley's voice remained more even and neutral than Julien's, you could tell that Hayley felt it on a personal level and it somehow sounded more emotional. There's also something eerie and heartbreaking about such a powerful song being played so softly, by a girl alone on a couch
you can literally watch the clip of her learning this many years earlier in a behind the scenes clip that shows up just above this video if you search hayley williams playing guitar. weird!
This is such a lovely cover (raw with strength in simplicity) and it just goes to show what an amazing lyricist Blake Schwarzenbach songs were in Jawbreaker.
