You must not be a football fan if non conference weeks don’t look interesting in paper; that’s literally the only really good match ups outside of rivalry week.
There weren't many especially interesting matchups yesterday but a lot of games were really entertaining
Best thing about college football even a non-ranked match up can be absolutely insane and steal the spotlight.

Unlv getting a win over a SEC team is huge for them, even if it’s Vandy, glad to see Odom turning this program in right direction
When my Wolverines played them last week, I could tell they had improved.

I especially loved the timeout Vanderbilt called with around 29 seconds left when UNLV was content to go to overtime. UNLV be like "Oh? You want us to just beat you in regulation? Ok."

I was at this game! One of the better UNLV games I've been to. Solid atmosphere too, as far as UNLV games go.
Same, was on the field working it, loved the atmosphere we had hopefully we can get more people here throughout the season
I was there too, best 31 bucks I spent this year. attendance was 22,500. and a mariachi concert at halftime. all in all an absolutely great night.👍

Lol I love how Vandy fans were so confident they were gonna win when they made that interception just to miss a field goal and allow UNLV to march down the field to win the game on their own field goal
I was at the game, the vandy fans were so cocky and obnoxious first when they were up 17-0, then we dropped 30 straight points on them and they quieted down real quick, and then when they scored that touchdown and intercepted the ball right after, they got real loud again. Just for them to miss the field goal and somehow let up that big throw and field goal. Then all they did was just look at their phones. Fuck Vanderbilt.

As a Unlv alum, that was easily the best win we have had in decades. Absolutely electric, I think Odom might actually be the guy to take us where we wanna go.
Best win since UNLV went to Wisconsin in 03 and won when Jamaal Brimmer won national defensive player of the week.
Rebs might just have what it takes to compete for the mountain west this year. Air Force and Fresno state are tough but I love our chances.
Doesn't matter that it's Vandy, beating a Power 5 team is HUGE for UNLV's program. Happy for those kids.
For a Unlv team that has been lost in the wilderness and a disappointment annually, this was a program changing win. Rebs look legit this year - a very happy alum

@@Titronnica Only teams that look really questionable are Fresno State and Boise State, both teams that have gone to the conference title game 3-4 times in the last 7 or so years. Both dominant in the Mountain West. Yet neither seem to be hitting their stride yet.

What's funny is that the head coach didn't call timeout and it was someone else on the staff that did. They showed in the game how pissed Clark Lea was after that happened.

Vandy fans arn't like the rest of us they dont wait for the day when they win a chip they dont expect 9 or 10 win seasons all a vandy fan lives for is to ruin a sec teams day in 2016 when they beat Tennessee and prevented them from going to the sugar bowl that was Vandys superbowl thats what a Vandy fan lives for.

Unlv isn’t good enough to be in a conference like the SEC. But Vanderbilt has been in the SEC since it was formed in 1933. There is a reason they got excited about beating vandy. Any other team would take it and eat their cupcake. Vandy just choked on theirs.

@@dredennis113 I mean, compared to the rest of the college football world the SEC usually has about 6 ranked teams a season. Which is the most aside for Big10 and Big12. Pac-12 gets overlooked a lot in football, but they also get about 4-5 ranked teams a year. Washington also is looking really deadly. As well as Colorado.
I'd love to see a Alabama/Colorado matchup later this season in the postseason. Whenever/if ever that happened I think I got Colorado winning that one too. Unless they play Ty Simpson, then I'd have Alabama winning because he seems to have more pocket presence and was also actually yelling at his line to block after getting sacked.
We know Vandy isn't a good football school, or even basketball, they're just a good baseball school. That's also why they're SEC still.
Why would Vanderbilt call that timeout? Go to OT where they would’ve gotten a chance to score. With 30 seconds left, only UNLV has the chance to score.
The cameras caught Vandy coach asking 'who the F called that TO'? Apparently it was a player on the field who called it.

@@darthwagner5897 TBF I woulda called a TO there also. Gotta assume your PK gonna make a 38 yd FG. I'd be more pissed at the DC who put his freshman CB one on one vs. the guy who caught 12 balls in the game.
@@shawnesgate9599 it was 2nd & 10. Even if they held them on 3rd down, UNLV is gonna punt on fourth. Max time you’d have is maybe 20 seconds to make it roughly 40 yds then a field goal. It can be done of course, but only with perfect and/or risky plays.
Bottom line: its still more favorable for them to go to OT.

Lol. I don't know if she's even still on the team. Other crazy part is she wasn't even a soccer player, so how she actually got to walk-on at Vandy is a surprise to me 'cause that is one of the toughest schools, if not the toughest, to get into in the SEC.
