I like the idea of all the RGG protagonists just being called John, followed by the title of their respective games. John Yakuza, John Judgment, John Likeadragon.
I love how all 5 basically personify an average man's circle of friends. There's the one who's a total geek (Tsukumo), the one who's super manly and buff (Kaito), the one who's very smart and well-read (Yagami), the one who's very athletic (Sugiura) and the one who always looks cool and dresses nicely (Higashi). Like, literally everyone of us is one of those types, and we all know other dudes who fit these descriptions.
The best part about the boys in Judgment is that, Yagami isn't the sole alpha of the group. There are times when other point out things Yagami didn't aware of, they put up good fight most of times, have their own motivation instead of just following protagonist out of respect. Best dynamic in RGG games imo
This is about Judgement, not LJ, but I fucking love how Kaito was the one who solved the mystery of Waku's death and AD-9's human experimentation because he was mocking everyone else for their conspiracy theories, lmao.
Ichi and party are an enjoyable bunch no doubt, but when you experience Yagami and his band of brothers, it's nothing short of amazing and special, and the songs Destination and then Final Destination do nothing but cement the absolute unit these guys are, this song captures having guys at your back better than any other song in the franchise to date, when this kicked in for the finale of the 100 man throwdown at the warehouse, this song was beyond perfect and captured the journey from 2018 to 2021 with Yagami, Kaito, Sugiura and Higashi. Wouldn't have it any other way.
Before we learned more about Lost Judgment, I'd hoped there would have been a party mechanic similar to FF7R, with Yagami, Kaito and Sugiura being swappable characters with separate leveling systems.

I was getting worried that there was too few long battles. Then the amazing 100 man battle in the parking lot occurred with this fire of a remix from the first game. It was well worth it.

I love how fluidly the song transitions between Press on Our Way and Final Destination in the actual gameplay. You have the chill (but still hyping up) track playing while it's quiet, and every time you go into a fight, that intro just comes blaring. No matter how many times it happens, it never gets old, and just gets you so pumped to beat the shit out of the group of thugs that just saw you. While I personally still prefer the traditional long battle format, with the character being in "combat mode" the entire time, this kind of setup would be PERFECT for dungeons in future Ichiban games, with the split between exploration and combat being strictly defined by design.
I agree, I feel like if they did dungeons that way with a calming tone of the battle music whenever you're just exploring around the area, then it'd transition to the battle theme for the dungeon, that would be perfect. I kinda wish the Millennium Tower in Y:LAD was that way, but what we had was also pretty good. Hopefully Lost Judgment paved the way for dynamic exploration and battle themes depending on the situation from here on with Gaiden and Infinite Wealth on the way.
The infiltration of the Omi Alliance HQ in Yakuza 7 does this with 'tranquilo' into 'apassionato' if you get seen, but it's so easy to never get seen that nobody ever hears it.

The health would be green just like the other two Judgment games and the EX gauge bar would be a different colors for 4 characters like blue for Yagami, orange for Kaito, purple for Higashi, and white for Sugiura.

@@iorisushi They were. I didn't rly know em until I did more research into Kimura and tho I never particularly cared for boybands, they were something far beyond just that. Their tunes have got a wide array of genre and some are rly worth listening to and I love all the variety shows they did as a group, despite never caring much for variety either. Haha. Thanks for showing me a whole new world, Kimura, although that world has already ended and is now just preserved in memory.

Yeah. And for the four playable characters, they would have a relationship with their girlfriends. It’ll be like a romance stories about the four couples.
1. Yagami and Mafuyu got back together, live-in a apartment in Ijincho and then get married after the cases closed.
2. Kaito and Mikiko live peacefully together along with Jun like a real family in Kamurocho.
3. Higashi went out on his first date with Mari.
4. Sugiura met Emily at Girl Bite bar.
