I’d say a big reason for not quoting early is at least then that deck/player you don’t like then has to spend resources taking you out rather than just making it easier for them by leaving.
Gotta love how people forget how Baby Teferi works. Was so worried about the Sultai player having counter magic that they forget that the Sultai deck can't cast spells outside sorcery speed.
I hate the heat that Miirym gets but good lord do I understand why she does. The deck can go so many directions and it's pretty resilient if built right. No one in my group likes my version so I get it lol.
Yeah it’s certainly one to keep a very close eye on. I don’t think there’s any one deck you should always focus on 100% without considering the entire board first though. Many players just go “the Commander = powerful. I’ll take that down first” and totally ignore actual threats on the table.
@@tribalkai very sad but true. Not everyone can do proper threat assessment. At that same time though, there are certain ones that are a kill on site no matter what. I don't think Miirym is that level yet though.
The good thing about Miirym is you can wait to see what the cast before deciding whether or not to use your removal. The risk being that could use counter magic.
I built this deck couple weeks ago and my playgroup go to see the power of dragons. Miirym is a power house. I took apart my Ur dragon to see which commander I would like more and nothing against ur dragon, but I feel like Miirym is much more stronger and make its easier to be linear when deck building towards combos. Definitely one of favorite commander to play.
@@tribalkai that was my first thought when I had seen the spoilers, but I feel like if miirym is in the 99 then the deck would just be built around Sentinel wyrm. I love my Ur-Dragon deck having the cost reduction in the command zone is fantastic for curving out your plays. I was able to unleash the pain.
TribalKai, I liked your attitude and energy a lot in the video, nice to see you keep calm when the other player messed your plans up, handing value to the planeswalkers and then left. Way to stay cool. However, why not just Obliterate to hell the Smothering Tithe, before he gets all those treasures? Say, you plan on drawing 15 cards, and each of those cards gets the opponent one step closer to an answer to your combo, maybe kill the Smothering ramp and Thrasios, then play your big draw stuff after? What do you think? Kinda like checking the oil and fluid in your car before a long road trip. Or putting a Tiger asleep with meds so he won't kill you as you operate. Prep pays off
Epic win!! Was thinking of doing a Miirym Alchemy deck on Arena and after watching this game I went a built one!! Gonna make a commander deck in paper too!! GG’s!!
Lol tribalkai "why is everyone afraid of my commander? I'm in a impossible position to win from" Processed to dragon storm off and win! Great game love it
Yea, right? Dragons deck can win pretty easily from nowhere (as we just have seen). I would focus on the Myrim deck first too. The onlu play I would say was "wrong" is when only utvara was on the battlefield with lots of PW. In that moment I would focus on de PW player, cause that utvara kill dont changed the outcome of the game. Well, good game! I love the spirit and narration of tribalkai
@@FelipeMannrich - That was exactly what I said in the commentary. If I'm the only one who can deal with the PWs, using my dragons then you need to let me do it.
If I wasn't such a crazy MTG Hipster who refuses to play stuff if it is too popular, I would probably have built Miirym. Instead I have Dromoka the Eternal and Karrthus dragon tribal decks.
Personally I would’ve played glasspool mimic copying your commander and bin you original copy then play atsushi for 3 of them so you don’t have to worry about Oko
You’re making use of hindsight which is pretty dishonest. I had one card in hand and a dragon on board against multiple planeswalkers and a Prismatic Bridge in play. I wasn’t the threat not matter which way you look at it. I also said something along the lines of “you shouldn’t leave an Omniscience in play but we’re not the threat at the moment”.
You seem a bit more negative than usual here, constantly remarking you're about to draw something "probably a land". Was it because you were targeted more than you thought fair? Anyway hope things are good: it's just a game, we enjoy watching the losses too.

That’s exactly the case. Can’t tell you the number of games I’ve lost because of opponents having extra interaction due to early scoops.
Love watching and playing Miirym hope to see a lot lot more of him!!

Spicy finish give us more of your wyrm!
Naughty.
Brilliant game to watch as always
Glad you enjoyed it!

I prefer Tiamat to Ur Dragon personally. Miirym is a really fun one to go off with too.
Tiamat can also tutor for Miirym as well. I may get a Miirym after this showing.
Throwing Miirym in a WUBRG dragon deck is a good idea. Multiple Tiamats or Ur Dragons would be cool.

@@tribalkai Throw in Sneak Attack. The original creatures would die, but the copies would stay.

A heater of an ending. Love to see the sentinel wyrm. That commander is so nutty and the synergy with all the draw etb cards was chef's kiss.
I thought it was a cool ending to a game too. Just proves the point not to give up too easily.
Ya you always gotta stick around because the dynamic of the game swings so badly when it becomes a 3 or 2 player pod
"Why is this game taking so long? I'm going to scoop."
Yeah 4 players bringing capable decks with lots of interaction certainly makes the game last longer.

Miirym is so good!! Running like a 90% win rate since building the deck!! 🔥🔥

Don't recall ever saying that, but no one can argue against the fact that that game didn't look too good for us until the very end.

Let see more Mirrym!

Ward 2 brother, ward 2
bridge player was trash, holly hell man, dude got his decklist from the internet for sure
what was all that talk about tunnel vision, and yet you still won the game they not focus on you enough

No I think I say stuff like that all the time.
Chances are if you’re in top deck mode it’s going to be a land. It’s Sod’s law.
Terrible threat assessment does that to a man.
