Here's the blotter update...
- To give it its due, the drydown of Alien Mirage is more recognisably Alien than the opening is. But it's still a fairly coarse, standoffish piece of work.
- Nomade absolu de parfum has turned out to be my least favourite of the Nomads so far. There's an excessive reliance of woods in the base, which detracts from the sophistication and smoothness of the whole.
- Bengale Rouge presents a rich, glowing (if, again, non-distinctive) tonka-sandalwood drydown.
- Jaipur Homme is a wonder: powdery, resinous, woody. All the elements beautifully balanced. Both rugged and gentle at the same time.

I was laughing out loud at your response to the Mirage press release! if the perfume is that pretentious and vacuous then i'm staying clear. Then, your description of the original Alien was spot on. I marvel at your ability to capture the essence of a fragrance with such verbal precision.
This review was articulate and stylish, but so authentic, too, a rare combination. Love! and will subscribe. btw I ground my lower body with the earthy Bond no. 9 NY Oud, using Alien for the other bits, the body cream on my decolletage and the Eau de Parfum to wrists and behind the knees, etc. They plunge into one another and the symbiosis is surprisingly subdued, like a crouching panther, muscles coiled and poised to pounce. ;)

Fabulous review of Alien Mirage! :D I can clearly see that it didn´t convince you! Although I do enjoy the last Fusion flanker as a day-to-day fragrance, it seems that Mugler (L´Oreal) keeps on cutting off more and more edges from the original Alien :(... Still, can´t wait to try / review this one!

So I finally have the Nomade Absolue and I've got to say it's pretty similar to the original according to my nose.There is definitely a richer feeling to it with something that smells like vanilla purring away in the background.I also get a slightly sweeter vibe with this one, however all the greenery and floral aspects of the original are still centre stage.A big difference between the two is that after an hour or so Absolue starts to lose the green and floral notes and a sweet (plum?) vanilla like base begins to take over where as original Nomade keeps the green notes right through to the end. In a nutshell Absolue is 85% Nomade edp and 15% fuzzy warm vanilla and gourmand notes, this is just my opinion though and everyone process fragrance differently.
Longevity wise I feel the original lasts longer,which is odd as you expect a better longevity from an absolue but so is life, both are still beautiful and will be a fixture in my collection for some time 😊

Jaipur ...One of the first fragrances I bought when I started to gather fragrances....loved the spicy quality reminiscent of India. Actually wore it in the higher temperatures which helped it blossom
It’s so underrated, isn’t it. And yes, all those balsams and resins can work wonderfully in warmer weather.

Good day, Mr. Persolaise! Thank you for another informative, entertaining video! Have you sniffed Mugler's Aura or the new Lolita Lempicka (Mon Premier)? I tend to think of Lolita as the younger sister of Hypnotic Poison, Shalimar, and the Mugler fragrances. Most people were devastated that Lolita Lempicka was lightened up a little with the Mon Premier, but that extra lightness (and moving the cherry to the top) and slight freshness suits me and others who have not smelled the original perfectly!!! If you have picked it up, what is your impression/occasion use, etc. of Lolita Lempicka (the original or the newer, ever-so-slightly-fresher version)? Thanks again!!! This is the best, most authoritative fragrance channel I've found so far.

I can’t say I was taken with it, I’m afraid. In terms of sillage etc, it’s as ‘grand’ as you’d expect an Alien flanker to be.
I love Chloe Nomade but am not very excited about absolu flanker. To me, it smells more citrusy and has a men's perfume vibe.

So glad you're reviewing Nomade, is a scent that doesn't get reviewed often, it was a quiet ongoing launch, although I know nothing of the Absolut version, will have to take a trip for a sniff, from your update, sounds like it's gone into the fluff and mush zone of fillers in perfume 🙈👍🏻.
As an aside, I urge you to read Marian Bendeth's review, a Global Fragrance Expert's take on the original Nomade, I think you might find it interesting.

I used to love boucheron by boucheron but something drastically changed and their formulation I can't figure it out any clues
