GIANT Fish, HUGE lures, in crazy weather

- We set out with GIANT lures to try and catch some GIGANTIC fish! I am addicted now to fishing for record size fish. So i take some other BIGGEST lures that i own including a giant prawn and attempt to catch a record size barramundi or salmon.

I do also love the huge Threadies, they go like cut snakes and grow huge.
On another note, not really relevant to this video but your new tinnie, your dad's old TINNIE has certainly got GOOD JUJU about it, mate.

Thanks legend i hope you are well. We are north now on a mothership starting from Bligh reef and going further north each week. Yep still have dads tinnie and it has caught me some beasts of fish, some fish i may never top. Jelena will be straight into the barra when we get home thats for sure. We might make some videos about this trip but see how things go with what we are doing first. Appreciate you always tuning in mate

I can believe that for sure. Some of the ones i have seen are much bigger than what i have caught.
they are only eating live baits that's why you weren't getting a bite, great video!

Great episode mate and a bloody awesome fish. Lots of water and different systems take forever to explore it all. But it's fun looking around.
It is fun to explore, looking forward to some more exploring when its not so cold and windy and the fish will actually be half interested in my lures haha!

@@SilvestersSaltwaterFishing were to gold beads or other goodies spot light Gladstone's. Heaps of goodies ya can use to custom lures out with lol crystal beads are good as well don't they flash in shallow water lol hint hint.

Barra hate the cold. They had lock jaw.
Yep they hate the southerly and that constant wind thats for sure.
Wing man lures ones with bright yellows or brawler baits and white is ok I found red in that type does better on a slow bite cast let it go to bottom slow roll then fast burn then stop 🛑 slow roll with red brawler bait. Other is fluke bait gulp 7 ins chrome bearing in blue white work it on bottom if that does not work get finger mark gear out and grunter.
Yep i think next trip i will be on the fingermark and grunter train as well for fun. Haven't caught a finger yet
@@SilvestersSaltwaterFishing well got just the blend of soft plastics Berkeley power baits power nymphs ➕ black strike tiger nymphs Berkeley ones yellow orange both 1 ins on Berkeley cut first back set of legs off then add strike tiger. Heaps of big grunter near south bridge rocky and a few fingers around 600mm to 650mm weight number one sinker I fit 2 gold beads between body with assists bass best is to use 7 strand wire 15 pound cut at125mm place crimp on one end to pull wire through plastic braid 10 pound tie it up hard behind crimp cut off later if ya get my drift.
@@SilvestersSaltwaterFishing both are nymphs beads best to set both on wire pass wire through tear a bit of tissues paper stuff in hole of bead 1 drop of super glue then 2 part resin sets in 7 minthen assists then add another bead gold colour then Berkeley body.
