Thanks for the comment, I’m not a fan of these all in one units as they tend to sacrifice image quality and the ability to dissipate the heat effectively as well. Happy flying!
Are you familiar with the Parrot Disco? If so you will know that the Parrot Disco offered fantastic 1080 stabilized FPV video with the ability to pan up, down. Unfortunately Parrot stopped making the Disco (and they are getting harder and harder to find) and I'm looking for a replacement that offers it's great flight characteristics and advanced features (e.g., Mission planning features) but MOST importantly a way to get that STABILIZED realtime FPV video. Is there anything you could recommend that you could build (or RTF) that would approximate the Parrot Disco. Love to hear your thoughts?
@@Painless360 Thanks..I had previously watched your Parrot Disco but at the time didn't realize that was you. I LOVE LOVE LOVE my Disco. So SAD that Parrot discontinued it. There is a vibrant Disco community that has done amazing mods for it...(e.g., ability to fly via 4G vs wifi, etc.). I haven't found another wing that is capable of doing what the Disco was doing back in 2016...almost 4 years ago. Shocked that no one else has stepped up to produce a product with similar capabilities but at much lower costs. That said I'll check out the Matek wing build you mentioned...adding a GoPro to the wing is going to add considerable costs to the wing...I'm shocked that none of the cheaper cameras have stepped forward with good stabilization capabilities. Maybe some exist and I'm just not aware of them.
I bought a cheap AIO camera that arrived just today. I only need to connect a 1s lipo and it's done! I bought this to FPV a RC car, but the car broke this last weekend :-(
I usually start with the CG from the designer or vendor. If that isn't available, I try and throw and glide it to see where it needs to be... Happy flying
I have some esc noise in my video picture, I bought an LC filter, 2 wires input and 2 wires output. Would I connect it to the earth and power wire or the earth and video wire on the VTX ?
Friend, could you tell me if you can use a BHELI ESC of 18Khz in a naza lite controller? I'm looking for an ESC's that comes inside a 16mm diameter carbon arm!
Thanks Painless! This was EXACTLY what I was looking for!
Very good video recently done this with my mini rainbow wing but used an all in one cam/vtx combo nice install Lee 👍👍👍👍👍
Very nice! Great work on getting all the FPV components installed so cleanly. Thanks for sharing and Happy Flying!

Almost 100k subs... Congrats to you and thank you for sharing your knowledge.
Excellent video as always.
As a 'beginner' kit I rather like the look of the akk kc04 but like you I will wait for all the reviews to happen
Thank you, great content!
very nice video! Thanks a million!!
(2:10 a side range of voltage )happens...
SUPER helpful... thanks

Please see my video on the Disco... See the Matek wing build and add a GoPro with stabilisation.. Happy flying!

I would like to know how you determine the center of mass? I used all kinds of websites but it is not accurate and the plane is unstable

Not sure, I never use them..

I don't see why not, see my multi rotor videos. Best of luck..
Awesome, Lee! Great work! :)
Oh man its me again. I tried doing fpv on 2 wings. Way harder than doing FPV on my quads!!!!! I think I'll. Do a plane next.
It's easier for me, once you know where the bits are going to go :D
Wouldn't it be easier to use a AIO with on screen display. Lighter, good range and much quicker and easier.
Great idea! Happy flying!
Hi what about camera angle?
Trial and error. Usually slightly down on a wing..
I've just started cutting into my plane. It just seems so wrong
I know, once you've had a goofy grin on your face from fixed wing FPV the pain will fade :)
