Uh huh. It’s up to people to be wise and discerning. For years the government denied space aliens. Then in 2023, the existence of space aliens was revealed before Congress. No-one cares! Why? Because it makes no damn difference to our lives. None at all. Most of the crazy conspiracy theorists blab on and on about… makes no difference to most people. Just to those desperately needing attention.

History is full of accounts where the government has experimented on their own citizens. There seems to be an ongoing example that the general population is perceived as property.
A good example of this is an individual's birth certificate that has a number. Basically a promissory note to the government, without it, an individual has a difficulty getting any other ID.
Personally I believe that the deduction that people receive on their income tax form is the value placed on that promissory note.
In the past, there have been debates at what level the population to be sustainable. Some say 200,000 individuals worldwide, but that's a number of elite and not general population.
This is just one movie, but you could also watch Logan's Run or Brave New World as similar examples of elite control over the masses.

Several factors lend credence to people believing the video message and the message sparking the rebellion.
    1. The people were already oppressed and did not want to leave their land even when New Eden was pitched as a utopia.
    2. The people were already skeptical of the government and its motives.
    3. Anyone who had family and friends relocated to New Eden never heard from them again, which raises suspicion.
    4. The message was coming from someone who worked in the government. So it's likely presented to people as the testimony of a whistleblower who died trying to make it to the freedom of Canada.
    5. When you already have an oppressed people dealing with a powder keg of negative circumstances and feelings (famine/drought, poor living conditions, animosity, anger, fear, helplessness, etc.) all you need is a spark that gives hope for a better life for them to choose to fight instead of staying frozen in fear. The video was all the spark that was needed.

Well, thanks to government we have a serious problem among the people of the west.
E.g. when the workers of Norwegian factories realized that is was unnecessary to starve just because someone were sick for a couple of days they all made a fund where people paid in money for sick leave. If someone started to misuse the system they got a visit. The government continued the system on a larger scale and it still worked. Even with 15% of the population not working there were no problems.
So the government started the mass immigration in an attempt to destroy the system. All western governments do it by now and they will succeed: Currently there are +80 million people from Africa alone each year. And they know that a mere 4 million transferred to the west will destroy the western civilisation.
    This is by design.

    "I am his mother"
I mean, that's fair. My best friend was lied to by his parents until he was of legal age and then they told him that his mother had had an affair and that my friend was actually that man's son. My friend was mad, but quickly stopped thinking about the absent father because he already had one. And when asked about it, he told me that his dad was the man who had sheltered and cared for him for 18 years, not some stranger he's never met. In fact, he actually learned to love his dad even more because he absolutely didn't HAVE to raise my friend, he had divorced his cheating wife years ago, but still put in the time and effort and love to raise him despite them not actually being related. They say you can pick your friends but you can't pick your family, but your real family is the ones who pick you above everyone else. Blood may be thicker than water, but bonds are stronger than steel.

How the hell is Adam even able to move after being shot in the eye with a bb gun? Maybe mine was some OP shit, but I used to have a pump-powered bb gun that I once used to shoot a hole through a quarter and guess what? The sphenoid bone which is directly behind the eye next to the optic canal is about the same thickness and significantly less durable than nickel-plated copper. Basically, that bb should have popped Adam's eye like a grape and shattered parts of his own skull into his frontal lobe, causing a cerebral hemorrhage which would at least knock him unconscious within a handful of minutes because the disruption to the circulatory system inside the brain would deprive the brain of sufficient oxygen, causing hypoxia (a lack of enough oxygen to keep homeostasis) in the brain, which in turn would begin shutting down various sections of the brain as they starve of oxygen and die, quite literally causing brain death over time. Not to mention the fact that most bbs are copper-coated steel and that amount of copper inside the body would leech into the bloodstream and cause copper toxicity and by extension blood poisoning which would more or less be rotting his brain from the inside as the copper-heavy blood circulates within.
