- German Troops to be Permanently Stationed in Lithuania | Vantage with Palki Sharma
The Baltic nations have been wary of Moscow ever since Russia's invasion of Ukraine. All the Baltic nations are NATO members, but they want added security. Lithuania especially wants more than just NATO weapons. It wants troops from NATO countries to be permanently stationed on its territory. Germany has offered to send a brigade to Lithuania. Almost 5,000 Germans, including soldiers, civilians and their families, were supposed to move to Lithuania by 2027.. But now, Lithuania wants to speed up the process. Lithuania's president has made an urgent request to hasten the deployment of German troops. Lithuania's Prime Minister says a deal to host the Germans should be finalised by autumn.

Now imagine if Ukraine had joined NATO. Where would European troops be permanently stationed in?
Ukraine is not Europe to begin with. Just some barbaric people worshipping WW2 monsters.
Correct ❤
Now imagine if Russia had never invaded Ukraine, and the fear of German troops in the Baltics wouldn't have been realized. Russia is the biggest bully on the block, and they don't like when others push back against their delusional dreams of Empire.
Ruskieland had their chance, now all former satellite states are poor af unless they joined NATO or the EU
@@dennisestradda9746 It's like watching a stumbling drunk trying to fall back on their old ways to get things done. Instead they could have leveraged their geographic position to be the economic bridge between Asia and Europe.
2:15 to 2:45 (history) - in fact Lithuania was invaded and annexed or occupied by the Soviet Union in 1940 before the Germans occupied it in 1941 and stayed there to 1944 when the Soviet Union came back. Thanks for your many interesting news stories.
You might want to add that in the 3 years the Germans occupoied it, they murdered 95% of its Jewish population.
Actually Lithuania was already occupied by the Sovjets before Hitler marched in. Many Lithuanians then fought with the Germans against Russia and continued fighting untill at least 1954. Today however Germany just follows NATO orders and so do the other western armies in the Baltic states. Russia knows very well that Germany after WW2 never was a souvereign nation and that not the German people but NATO is their enemy.
Donald Trump (German father) has never stopped talking sht about NATO.
It's the other way around. The USA is led by Germany. Operation paperclip.
the german people dont like the ruskies lmao. In your dreams people like russia
Lithuania was not occupied by the Soviets. The Soviet experiment was an experiment in a world of worker states and Lithuanian workers joined that experiment. That is very distinct from Nazism or wokism which is more of an identity than class thing. The world has gone back to identity days as has Russia and in the midst of that, free market capitalism is overwhelming the welfare systems you find in wokism. Identity and economic competition breeds individualism and the rise of dominant economic elites who will eventually dump you in favour of robot workers. I have joined that elite. You on the other hand had better make sure you have a car for shelter.
What?
Ironically the citizens of these countries don't care, it's just the politicians that get paid to use their countries as base😂😂😂
Well done, Germany....
When was the last time German troops marched through Lithuania? Lololol
Led by Nazis, who most Gerrmans hated.
When they was running back to the Berlin 😅
In 1941 with painter Adolf :)
They welcomed the German soldiers with flowers. That’s how much they hated the Russians in 1941.
during the last Nato exercise, so every few years.
What can possibly go wrong? Remember the last time Germany rolled through that area?
I remember it this way. Germany rolled straight to Moscow, Soviet Union losing 28 million men and only survived because the Allies were on the Soviets side.
Now everybody is saying "Ukraine should surrender, they have no chance, Zelensky is sacreficing its own people".
Where were these guys back then? "Moscow should surrender, The Soviet Union has no chance, Germany has already captured all of Europe, Stalin is sacrificing his own men for nothing" duuuhhhh
In 1941 the Lithuanians welcomed the German soldiers with flowers. They hated being a part of the Soviet Union. There’s old footage from World War 2 showing that th-cam.com/video/00Ef3GWTqOw/w-d-xo.htmlsi=FNGQAyIDFSdNEE_x. Lithuanians are considered Baltic instead of Slavic.

After their experience in the second world War, they still have move their troops to a foreign country.
Not permanent but at least for a thousand years to begin with or so I've heard.
Thanks for the information, this doesn't show up in usa media.

As the Best Friend of Russia, India is so scared that Russia is angry.
Help more. Uk should send some troops too
Oh no 😮
I can tell you something. I have been around the world and meet people from everywhere in the world. I can speak and have friends to most evere one. Except Indians. What is it about YOU?

What does that even mean ... Do you think an average Indian care about you ? No cares about anyone...so live your life in peace
I think it is the pompous accent....an English accent on mud people who still take a crap outside. And then dare tell the world they don't stink when we can smell it all around India. Am I close?
Have you ever heard Germany winning any battle.
You apparently don't know german history..
Yes they have and i promise you if you knew a little bit of history that would be the last thing you've said.

Did they think about the consequences of this??
Ruskieland crying?
Germans are famous for calculating the consequences and risks. If Germans think this a good idea, then you can bet money on it.
WTF what consequences are you talking about
Yes of course they have U.S nukes stationed in Germany, does it answer your worries? hahahaha
USA just gives us orders.
When Germany's Defense Minister Boris Pistorius asked the german soldiers who would be willing to be stationed in Lithuania, not only 5000 said yes but 25000 were intrested on the same day.
To pay 800m 😂😂😂 for what? If war start these troops will run they can't die for the country why she pay such money?
Krauts on the move
How long did it take to deploy troops in Lithuania ? NATO is not serious, west in total is not serious… but remember: PUTIN is really serious. US right now is soft and things have changed. Remember: Putin is serious about war nato is not tho 😕
What. Could. Go. Wrong.
This is like Russia - Ukraine conflict part II.
Germany is one country that I forever on the wrong side of history
1. World War 2
2. Holoc...
3. Gaza genoc...
4. Potential world war 3 in Ukraine and the baltic
German has a base in Djibouti
They have troops in the Sahel
This here meens something else... Those german troops now come and bring famaly with to live there they come to stay there. Is not a mission with a few soldiers who leave after some month...
Sad news is that the enemy is not scared of NATO
let them come. Somebody else will raise their sons and daughters.
Irony
Lol so now Lithuania is back to being occupied by Germany 🤣🤣
It's a funny fhought, I've said before in the past how it's always American bases that base themselves in countries going east, with there toys aimed ever closer and closer but not many others follow suit. As you think would be the case. And now look, what's happening. Make the rest look good so as to not make you look bad.
Russia should just surrender. They are surrounded by evil NATO as you have figured out by yourself.
Athena
Germany has learned anything from ww2
Hot Air paranoia ok ❤😂
Looks like Germany wants to surprise Lithuania again before 100th anniversary. Not so far
Lithuania lost more people from soviets and less from nazis
Germany started ww1 and ww2 .. what's next
Germany start marching back to Russia again, seem they dont learn their lessons. Next time Russia should shair it up amongst its neabours.
What about us
The Baltic states are not much at risk. What western nations seek to prevent is Russia's access to warm water ports that has the potential of eroding trade. The Baltic states are of little importance compared to Ukraine and not worth the effort.
"...like temporarily occupied Poland and OUR Baltic provinces.... - Dmitri Medvedev, ex-prime minister of Russia on May 2023." Yeah. Keep dreaming...😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
It’s no secret
Most countries around Russiaconsider Russia as as impwrial country. 2 who had mistreatwdand suppressed rhrm severelt
Meanwhile, Russia hasn't said they'll attack Lithuania. It's not in their plans to attack NATO countries if they don't provoke Russia.
"If they don't provoke Russia". For example by planning to join NATO😂?
And Russia also said they wouldn't invade Ukraine...
permanent yes...because they will never leave. they just dug their own graves unfortunately.
Oh yeah? How? Because Russia is the almighty! Lol.. Ukraine alone has given them hard time since WWII. They are not mighty as we all thought.
Ohh they are mighty to have the whole of NATO scared french soldiers are in Ukraine German soldiers are being deployed in other countries the world knows what Russia can do only you seem to be living under a rock@@cheickfall7399

Why are russians bitching about it then?😂😂😂😂😂
Their presence in Lithuanian is a provoke that will anger Russian, long live the nation 🇷🇺
World amnesia
NATO was moving toward Russia slowly but surely. So it was a matter of time before NATO got into Russia. Strategically, Russia has made the right choice invading Ukraine for two raisons
1- NATO now is acting fast without a plan and preparation
2- At least the war is not in the Russia territory as in 1943
And poor Ukrainians don't understand why their country is being destroyed
Military tourism 🤣😂😅
Again???😂🤣🤣😂
