Thank you. Yes, please show all the steps, you don't need to say what each step is, but showing them is helpful

Thank you for all the hard work you do producing these tutorials. Has really helped me. One question, how do you manage to have all your sketches hidden without manually hiding them. All my sketches show unless I hide them myself. Thanks

You start with the Sketch command and then Extrude or Revolve.
I start with the Extrude or Revolve command first and start the sketch with "Sketch Section" at the top of the command.
This creates an internal sketch. If you right-click on the extrude in the part navigator, you can later make the sketch external.
If you have an external sketch, right-click on the Extrude or Revolve command in the Part Navigator and make your sketch internal, but only if you have not created a second extrude with the same sketch.

@@learnNX Makes sense thank you. Will you ever do tutorials on shape studio and sheet metal?

@@willfebery5897 Yes, but first I would like to finalise the topic of "modular design". With this knowledge, you can reduce the number of decisions and therefore the number of work steps. learnnx.com/modular-design/

Do you mean when creating a sketch? Deselect the checkbox "Show Principal Planes"

Hello, please teach the assembly part as well, thank you

Once the modeling is complete, the subject of assemblies follows. But first, users must be able to create the parts before combining them into assemblies.
      Thanks for watching.

Do not have the orientation tab in pattern feature, does my version of nx is too low(v.2023) or i shud check some option to enable that?
btw did it with pattern face, whats the difference with that and pattern feature?
    Thanks!

Recorded the video with NX 2008, but this menu has hardly changed since NX 10. Pattern face copies faces, not steps. This command would also work with stp data. But if the focus is on parametric design, you should choose pattern feature. You can find a comparison of the methods here: th-cam.com/video/F2r53_eEQow/w-d-xo.html

orientation option is not visible to me in pattern option? is anything i need to change?

    • @learnNX

The reason is simple: you are working with the Essentials role. Click on Roles in the resource bar, then on Content, and finally on Advanced. You will then see all the commands. If you don't want to change the user interface, click on the small gear wheel at the top left of the title bar in the command. Then select Pattern Feature (More)
