This was just such an amazing concert. I don't think that the recording is catching up the vibe that well. In reality it was more bombastic. After many days of rain and metal music this was so refreshing and they had so much fun on stage.
I saw them live 2 times in Paris and there are my favorites concerts ever. I'm a super fan of Two Steps From Hell. Unfortunetaly, Thomas Bergersen and Nick Phoenix are separated.
The main componist is Thomas Bergersen (playing the piano, guitar, violin etc) norwegian but not well known in Norway ironically. He really is a master musician and composer that has done alot of great pieces. Blackheart probably being one of my favorites but his Empire of Angels are also stunning. Should check out the live recording of Myth that actually pretty much are symphonic metal and similar to Nightwish. Sad to say "Two steps from hell" is no more, but Bergersen still compose this style of music as a solo artist.
I was supposed to be at this Wacken but the freaking neverending rain made it impossible, most of the campgrounds couldnt be used so there wasn't enough space. This particular performance I was really bummed out over, you don't get to see stuff like this (usually). They did a tour but I couldnt go :( And now the main composers split so they're no longer performing together as Two Steps From Hell, the main guy, piano/guitar guy (Thomas Bergersen) does do his own stuff though. Their most famous song is Heart of Courage. Their music is used a lot in movie trailers

I like you was wondering just how much do they pay the musicians, or is it simply a lump sum for the band no matter the number in the band. Your faces when he went into the scream were a picture, and I think much like my own when I first seen this, I did not expect it. It is also nice to see that it is just not women which get picked up on how they look and what they are wearing lol, but I would agree that looking around you could see who put at least some thought into their outfits and looks. Two Steps From Hell sounds like a crappy name for a crappy punk band. But WHAM ! What a surprise,it was actually pretty good. Nothing to do with metal but then again,Heilung is not a metal band but gets invited to play at metal festivals. Good stuff.
I love two steps, but they were never supposed to make it to this point of critical perception. 😂 You either are a hardcore nerd, or you’re not. 2step fans aren’t supposed to be campaigning 😅

They are doing a lot of music for Hollywood movies. My personal favourite is Victory from the movie trailer of the movie called Battleship
