I bought some on eBay for my Ford Focus about six months ago, but noticed the fuel consumption is terrible - about 25mpg. So I'm going to have to check them this weekend, weather permitting.
Great informational video, thankyou. Just purchased 4 spark plugs on ebay called "iridium". Waiting for their arrival. From the photos, have "Japan" stamped on the hex section of the plug where the spark plug socket sits to tighten/loosen. I will be sending back for a refund. Price set of 4 was 18.99. My alarm bells should have been ringing as the price is really cheap for iridiums. Cheers from Australia.
Some of the Fakes are actually being sold on Amazon and they look exactly like the real thing . The CR9EIX Iridium plugs Look exactly like the real ones except they are nearly 2 mm longer and they will smash into the face of your piston immediately upon trying to crank your engine
Yes I unfortunately bought some of these and upon completing my very 1st valve adjustment was met with a no start situation. I thought that I had improperly timed the engine but it turned out that all 4 plugs had been destroyed by the pistons

The real crime is that some of the major manufacturers like AC Delco are making spark plugs in China as well. The traditional mantra for small block Chevy engines is to just stick with AC Delco. All manufacturing in China answers to the Communist party above all else including the USA based "manufacturer." Therefore there is no guarantee of quality control for a Chinese made plug even though it is an authentic product. While I agree with about 90 percent of your statement here, one thing that you cannot take away from the Chinese is the fact that they make awesome porcelain... thus "Fine China".... you know, all the plates and stuff... @@freddaniali You are correct and make a good point. As I recall from my college international history classes, the Chinese invented porcelain, and the finest kaolin (main ingredient in porcelain, and also ironically kaopectate) comes from China. While Chinese porcelain gave the term "fine" to its product, it was invented sometime in the Eastern Han Dynasty somewhere around the time Jesus was conducting His ministry on Earth. I am not aware of the politics in china 2,000 years ago, but I do know that today, Communist China uses slave labor in its manufacturing facilities and has complete control over quality. AC Delco may think they control the quality in the Chinese AC Delco slave labor factories, but the Chinese Communist Party controls everything. Even in my 5-6 email exchange with George Adams from GM on this issue, he refused to even acknowledge that AC Delco plugs are even made in China. He just parroted lines about AC Delco plugs being the finest quality made from the finest materials... just like he was instructed to by his masters in China. You are also correct about the future involving Vietnam, India, Mexico etc., but as long as the Japanese make NGK plugs in Japan, I will use them. To manufacturer a spark plug requires way too many pieces of sophisticated and dedicated (and highly expensive) machinery. Everybody in the Mustang club has converted to them .....i put them in my wife's highlander several months ago. I think the company (brisk) is euro most made in Belgium.
At less than full throttle, your throttle plate is more restrictive than your air filter. Factory filters are generally a bit more restrictive but offer better filtration, the "high performance" ones flow more freely at the cost of compromised filtration. Do a used oil analysis on your oil with a genuine OEM filter and then drop a K&N in there and you'll see higher silicon content in the K&N oil change. As far as oil filters there's really not anything that's going to magically improve performance. If your filter is clogged up to the point that it is restricting flow the bypass valve kicks in and allows full oil flow to the oil pump, though it is not being filtered. The main differences in oil filters are the media itself and how efficient it is at filtering, the amount of filtration media in the filter, the material the anti-drain back valve is made of, and the overall construction of the filter. You won't gain any performance by using a better filter but you can reduce the number of particulates in your oil by using a quality filter.

Normal Guy Supercar wow that actually really surprises me . I’m sorry if I insulted you then . And I’m not able to say or argue otherwise . Crazy . I have no reason to doubt you but I am astonished they would do that . Blows me away . Man honestly I’ve had the worst experiences with NGK . I do like Denso but prefer bosch where applicable . Hell when they can’t give me either of those i say give me the autolite ones . I’m glad you replied actually . You schooled me . Thanks for you time
Thank you Dan.
+101sabre no problem
So I got the real deal then. Cool Beans Baby!!!!
That plug you have is fake part number is no good
Ok
Great info! Nice product plug...LOL
+Robert Kohut now that was a good pun.
Well these days Ngk coils are genuine made in china.
But by the sanctioned ngk factory
Are you sure about that? I'd rather have a bosch made in slovakia than a ngk in china you know :)
Thanks.
No problem
Has NGK varified this!!
They have a page on their site about it
@@normalguysupercar Please send a link.
Ebay & Amazon will fuckup! your car live and learn?
Yeah, probably best to just pay a known parts supplier that's trusted.
Thanks!
No problem! :)
You did not show the fake one side by side, how could we tell the differences between the two? sad!
Perhaps because I didn't buy fakes?
Why Ferrari runs on Japanese sparkplugs? :)
Cause they are good plugs
@@normalguysupercar i know . I always use them. But i have Japanese cars. Still not so fast and beautiful as a Ferrari
You have the fake spark plug.. 🤣🤣🤣
Uh no, it's not
I think I have the real McCoy. They say NGEEKAY on the plug.🇨🇦
Gen you ien!!!
+Dwayne Rose nice.
Yeah Chuck em in its only an old shitbox Ferrari what's it going to matter
Ok
You got the fake ones
Not according to the guide
Beware of fake videos on the TH-cam. LoL!
Omfg.... what’s next. Smh
People are pretty shitty sometimes. Anything to make a buck.
Dang China
Yup
if you own a ferrari why are you buying shady things from ebay???? why not just take it to a ferrari dealership sounds like your being cheap no?
Because I'm saving money? So because I have a Ferrari I just just pay the Ferrari Tax?
if you wanna save money buy a corolla i feel like a person whos buys a car like this should do the maintenance right and just take it to ferrari so you dont screw up your expensive car is all im saying
Yeah and what's a Ferrari owner doing on TH-cam other than being cheap and watching FREE videos !
Some Ferraris require you to drop the engine every X amount of miles, I hope you have the right screwdriver for that, it's a fun hobby for some...
holy shit did not kmow this
Yeah I didn't either...
I buy Used Spark plugs so I know there original OEM Muhahahahaha
Interesting
👍👍
Thanks
Caveat emptor
+Robert Kohut very true.
I use Brisk plugs in my Mustangs.....they are the best plug ive ever used and superior to the autolite crap.
www.briskusa.com/
+Gregg H never heard of those
Everybody in the Mustang club has converted to them .....i put them in my wife's highlander several months ago. I think the company (brisk) is euro most made in Belgium.
High performance air and oil filters is a subject that needs to be investigated
+PlanetPowerHD and how is mostly bs?
